1, 2, 3; Not only you and Me
Who: Phoenix, Red, and Voile
Where: A very neutral location that isa cafe on the moon run by Clefairy TBD
What: Closure. Apologies. Skepticism. Distrust. On this new episode of Days of Our Academy...
When:At some point in time prior to today because no one actually told me what the date was supposed to be. Oct. 17 - Prior to Red's departure.
Warnings: bbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
It was by Phoenix's good graces that the three of them were gathering. Voile had not done so easily, or without suspicion weighing upon her heart, or whatever she thought was her heart. Yet she had chosen to all the same. To be frank and fair, Phoenix could have asked anything of her and through sheer love - that of a pokémon for her trainer - Voile would have done it. She might have questioned him, but she still would have gone through with it.
And while she didn't question him on this particular instance, she believed he meant what he said, and that there was more to Red than the situation had commanded. But Voile had known that already.
She didn't hate Red. She wasn't even angry with him. She really held no malice toward him at all. She only ever wanted to do what had been asked of her. Because well... Red, regardless or who or what he had been before... Wasn't wrong. He wasn't wrong at all and she'd known it previously. It had simply taken him saying it so directly for her to truly accept it. And since she had... What else was there really to do?
Voile stayed at Phoenix's side, alert, in good standing, and observant. Or thoughtful, though both were the same when it came down to her.
"Do you think he'll actually come?" she found herself asking without looking to her trainer. "It would be hard for me to fault him for not."

Hello I am the worst person ever for not checking my f-list WHOOPS
What Phoenix wanted desperately to do was to make all of this right. He had failed in protecting Voile from Red - regardless of whether he was possessed by Seth or not. Phoenix knew he couldn't be there 24/7, and he wanted to make sure Voile had her space, but had he given her too much space? She never told him what had transpired, and Phoenix couldn't get mad at her about that. He partially couldn't blame her, didn't want to shame her... So all he could say was just a solemn "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you..."
But Phoenix promised that if anything went wrong this time, he'd be there.
"I don't know," he said, shrugging. "He said he had really wanted to see you in person, although... he's lost his voice."
He had given the letter to Voile before - in fact, it was the first thing he had done after apologizing for not being there to protect her. While Phoenix hadn't read it in Red's presence, he read it alone before handing it to his Gardevoir:
Voile
I'm sorry. But I know it isn't enough.
I hurt you. I was going to hurt you.
I was disgusting.
What I said was wrong. I don't want you to forgive me. I just want you to be okay.
I attacked you because I knew you were important to people I care about. You didn't do anything wrong. Nothing I said that day was right.
You didn't deserve that. Nobody did.
Please don't stop being important to Marie and Sonny because of what happened.
Red
"He might be too afraid to show up, though..."
FIVE MILLION YEARS LATER. I'M SORRY.
He was there, after all. And he was going to see that they settled things appropriately. Without Voile disliking him. Without Voile hating him. Without Voile doing this, that, or the other thing.
So she stood her ground, even when she saw Red, but her resolve wavered when she noticed how he froze. Leaning over to Phoenix, she set a hand to his forearm and spoke into his ear.
"We shouldn't have. You can tell him he can go. He looks so uncomfortable and I'm sure I expected that, but I don't have the heart to make him go through with this. He doesn't owe me anything, after all. He doesn't need to give me anything. He never needed to, to begin with. I don't want to torture him."
