Biffles and Waffles (Except not really.)
Who: Voilcin Alcin the Altaria, Voile the Gardevoir
When: 08/22 - Why not. Later evening time about.
What: Unsure of who exactly to turn to - or if she needs to do anything turning at all, Voile goes to visit Alcin. In hopes of striking up an arrangement.
Where: Alcin and Marie's Room - BE-09
Warnings: Probably not?
She didn't really want to return to her dormitory. Hadn't wanted to. She'd visited when she was sure no one else would be there, which really meant a lot of hiding behind counters, against walls, and within shadows to wait for people to leave, but she hadn't had any intent to keep extended stay. The room was still open to Marie, after all, and Voile had not forgotten her 'agreement' to Red.
She would stay away from both his Wartortle and his Snorlax. And that would be... Well. That. She was 'worthless' according to the trainer and the implied continuation of that was that she would really only cause more problems. And she still couldn't disagree with him.
But she couldn't wash away the feeling of his touch either. Right there in the weird wing-like spikes that replaced what normal people probably called ears. And even in Pokémon form, she'd not forgotten the sensation. Kind of like he stuck with her. And it was probably psychological. And it probably impacted her more because of the empathy.
And while she was unsure of what to do with herself, where to go, what to say or think, it became clear that perhaps deliberately avoiding her past was doing nothing to help the situation. Which meant visiting Alcin was became a priority. Not telling him what had happened was another. But hopefully just having his companionship would help.
Which was how she found herself at his dormitory door, knocking twice, and trying to hide most of herself under her hair.

For a split second, he thought it was the his roommate, but he quickly remembered how antisocial the other was and made his way to the door to nudge it open. When he realized his closest friend (and his crush) standing at the door, he blinked in surprise.
"Voile? What brings you here?" Alcin asked in his Altaria tone as he stepped aside for Voile to come into the room.

She sucked up whatever remaining courage she had, put aside what was really plaguing her mind and gave him a light smile.
"I came to see what you were up to."
And when he stepped aside, she hesitated before showing herself in. Weaving her hands together, she looked around, feeling eerily out of place because she knew the room and well. She'd been on Marie's bed. She'd been in Marie's bed. And she wasn't keen on boasting about that. Not to Alcin. Not to anyone.

"I was not doing much, other than slowly getting used to the city." Alcin explained. "Ah, feel free to sit anywhere. Do not worry, I have cleaned the room."

She eyed the foot of his bed with some consideration. No. That wasn't a good idea. So finally she took... the chair to his desk. But she hadn't missed the earrings and even as she sat, her eyes remained on them, curious but not wishing to pry.
"Are you finding that you have everything you need? Do you need me to get you anything?"
no subject
"This isn't anything special." He tried to explain with an uneasy laugh before moving back to Voile's question. "I have faring decently, actually! There are quite a few kind-hearted Pokemon willing to help me out when I accidentally got myself lost when wandering too far."
He still had some tolerance to trying out the humanization thing, especially when he had stood by his opinion towards Voile for so long. He wasn't sure why he got the item and kept it with him, and having Voile see them made him feel ashamed.

"I'm glad you've had some looking out for you. Most of the people here are pretty welcoming."
She wanted to tell him to stay away from Red. And a new fear was born into her. If Red somehow caught them together. Maybe he'd say something. Do something. Did he hate her that much?
Tapping her fingertips together in silence, she thought over her potential words. "You understand you can talk with me about anything, right? You don't have to hide things from me."

The Alteria fidgeted in his spot, hesitating to speak at first. With a small sigh, he pulled the earrings back out with his beak and set it on the bed again.
"I was playing around with the thought of trying this 'human' business." Alcin slowly replied, hinting his hesitation about this entire topic. "It reminds me of... the talk we had before."

Her eyebrows lifted and as she leaned over to get a better look, she found herself cradling her chin in the palm of her hand. "We've... had a few talks before. You know I spent about two months here before I decided to give the humanisation a try. The idea of it scared me. I wondered if I might lose some part of myself by experiencing it."
But she smiled softly, "Yet I came to find that I didn't dislike it. I said it before. It's very convenient. And I can't dislike how I look. I guess I'm a little vain, which I feel is okay."

He wasn't sure what to expect, especially how little he thought about becoming a human before coming to this place. As far as he knew, humans normally didn't have wings. He had seen a few with wings on the school premise, but otherwise it didn't seem like it was a very common trait. From the explanation he received when getting the earrings, he had been told that he would not be keeping wings when transformed. The thought of being wingless actually scared him a lot.

And she doubted it'd be the last time he'd say something like that and make her freeze up.
"Don't feel that you have to. But if you decide you want to, and if you need help - with anything - then you have me. I won't let you go through things alone, whatever it might me that you're up against."

"...Well, nothing would happen if I stay dwelling on it, yes?" He said with a laugh, "I am curious of how it is, to be taking such form."
With that said, he took the earrings and put them on.
MAGICAL TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE.
Instead, her hands almost immediately lifted and covered her eyes. And maybe. Just maybe. She did a little peeking.
ALL THE SPARKLES AND STUFF
"Did I do it right?" He asked in his thoughts, looking at Voile with an unsure expression on his face, having some trouble using the human voice box for the moment.
OH, GOD THAT'S SO PERFECT
"...Ah..."
And she was lost for words. But she was flushed. Right to the roots of her long hair. Yeah. You did it right, Alcin.

"Is something wrong? Did I somehow put on these things wrong? I have asked for clear instructions of how to put them on... and has this room this chilly before?" He continued to fret in his spot.
no subject
"See?" Voile asked. "You are definitely a boy."
/in which i start throwing stupids in. i'm sorry
"So this is...--" His thought was interrupted by his own, loud sneeze.
No I love your stupids. :>
And he was a boy.
"...Bless you," she found herself saying after a long moment's pause, as though she had to take a good deal of time to figure out how to respond. "Do you need me to get you anything?"
