There were a lot of theories running through Innes's head. Dark magic was always the predominant idea, as that was knowledge from experience.
"I had one lead, yet he turned out to be a idealistic nonsense-spouting fool." he then added, "unless you feel inclined in investigating my roommate. He's nothing short of creepy and suspicious." Hard to tell if he was serious with that or not.
