While the pool was best when it was quiet and he didn't have to worry about anyone getting mad about being in the splash zone of his ridiculously intense laps (although, really, anyone coming to a pool should only be there to get wet), but for there to end up being someone else there most of the time was fully expected. When he came out of the changing rooms and into the pool area, he stood at attention automatically.

"Good afternoon!!"

Now to find a good deck chair to leave his towel on. Neatly folded, of course.
