This was not a prince's welcome.
Who: Innes and you?
What: Innes arrives. He's not happy.
Where: Main building (hallway? cafeteria? wherever you'd like)
When: daytime Tuesday.
Warnings: Innes is a douche?
This was hardly a prince's welcome. Did they not really know who he was?! He was a prince, the heir to the kingdom! But no, that wasn't how it worked here. Instead, he was simply given some laptop thing, keys, and a uniform and shoved out the door. By hands. Giant hands. Gods what kind of hell-hole did his father send him to?
Innes had arrived dressed in his long tunic, two bows slung over his shoulder (one long-bow and one short-ranged) and a small bag. Now he had more to carry. He walked towards the designated room more focused on what the hell they wanted him to wear, clearly lost. Very lost. He had no idea where he was going.

douche, meet douche.
However, it didn't mean he was going to ignore a strange man striding around with weaponry casually flung over his shoulder. Suspicious. Very suspicious.
"I recommend putting those away," he spoke from behind him, his voice flat, bored-sounding, and mildly strained. It's the same old work, same old meticulous tracking, same old banter with students and strangers. "Those can pose an unnecessary threat."
it's a douche-fest
"I will do no such thing," Innes frowned. He had every intention of leaving them (though more likely only one) in his room, but he had no need of letting his stranger know this.
Innes was rather fond of his bow, not to mention still on edge from the end of the war. Shadow could very well be an enemy out for Innes's life. Wouldn't be the first time. Innes was very important, after all.
douchiesta!!!!
"So you expect for a school to be a fitting place to carry dangerous weapons around?" He huffed, stepping closer and placing his hands firmly on his hips. Yes, he did mean business. "I have news for you. Despite it being a fighting school, it isn't. Either put those up or I will have to confiscate them."
If anything, that'd stir a battle far easier than the prince's assumption of Shadow being an assassin of some kind.
party time!
"Nonsense," he frowned. "Touch the bow and I'll drive an arrow through your heart." Well if he could find the heart. He wasn't exactly sure where it was, but Innes never offered empty threats. He'd find it eventually. He already had a hand on the short bow. "I rarely miss, but you're welcome to test that."
puts on my boogie shoes
He stretched his hands out, eyeing him with a twist of his snout upward. "Oh, yes, I am shaking in my skates. You are indeed death itself."
So unfazed.

[ I imagine Innes being around 6'2? He always looks so tall in the art. ]

Blip. In the blink of an eye, Shadow disappeared, only to reappear just behind that Frelian archer, clearly having teleported to make a sliver of his power known. His body hadn't changed in stance at all. Only his position shifted, the only real difference to the scenario.
"Yes. Yes, I do expect you to believe it. Four words: Disembodied, giant, sentient hands."
Did he really need more proof than that?
( heheh at any rate, he'll tower above shadow anyway! he's only 3'3". C: teeny hedgie. )

Right as she turned the corner, she caught sight of the wandering archer just before she collided with them and managed to spin out of the way, keeping her tail in check so the flame didn't set the poor dude on fire.
She came to a halt, taking off her headphones which could still kind of be heard, and offering an apologetic wave.
"Heh, sorry Ah almost crashed inta you. Wasn't payin' much attention!" she chuckled before looking him over for a moment. "Ya ain't from 'round here are ya? New student?"

But the sudden rush of someone coming towards him had him reaching for his bow. Innes paused, scrutinizing the girl who apologized. "Excuse you," he frowned. Wait, did that girl have a tail...?
"You could say that. What are you exactly?"
no subject
Riwane grinned and swayed her tail around, stretching her wings a little. "Ah'm a Charizard," she said proudly. "An' welcomed ta tha Academy. Ah'm sure yer gonna enjoy yer stay." Because really? Who didn't!
no subject
But the response, that was what got him. "A Charizard..." He looked her over again. Must be some weird hybrid of something. That tail looked suspiciously like a dragon's, which didn't particularly sit well with him. The battle with the dragon-like Demon King was still fresh in his mind.
"Welcome?" he echoed, then scoffed sharply. "This place has hardly been welcoming, much less enjoyable."
no subject
"Whut? For real? That don't sound rite... Okay, well lemme be tha first ta welcome ya properly then!" She said cheerfully.
"Name's Riwane, an' as Ah said, Ah'm a Charizard. Is there anythin' Ah can help ya with? Ah got some time 'fore class so yeah!"

Regardless, he did have his manners. Sometimes. "I am Prince Innes of Frelia." Full title, of course. It was only proper. "You could show me around." He was, admittedly, very lost. He knew nothing of this place, little of the land and people, and was rather confused after his encounter with disembodied sentient hands.

stalked him through the hallswondered if he needed help as she watched him from around the corner of the hallway. He didn't seem to try to ask anyone for it, so she felt worried that she might be imposing. Plus, those dangerous looking items he's been hauling around didn't seem all too inviting, either.... But, being the person she was (although terribly frightful and jumpy), she couldn't bring herself to ignore someone who might need assistance. Granted, she was still fairly new to the school and still adjusting to her human form, but she thought that she'd at least give it a shot and offer. She wouldn't forgive herself otherwise.Taking in a deep, albeit shaky, breath, she took a step out from behind the corner to reveal herself. However, she still partially hid herself behind it and clung to it in insecurity. Slowly, she asked in a soft voice, "Um... H-Hello. Are you lost...? Would... would you like some help?" She tried to keep eye contact with him for politeness, but often found herself glancing at the floor by his feet. In an effort to keep herself standing there, she was beginning to grow stiff from the top of her head to the tip of her tail.
I'm so sorry, Chiyo
For some time now, Innes had that feeling that he was being watched. It made him a bit suspicious as he walked down the hallway. But each time he turned, he didn't find anyone, shook his head thinking recent events at home have caused him to be too suspicious, then continued on.
He barely heard the voice when she spoke. "Gods, where did you come from?" She wasn't human, but she was closer to one than those Hands. What made him pause from spouting more arrogance was that her hair was similar to Eirika's, even with the large odd ears. "What are you?"
S'all cool. We were asking for it. XD
"I. I. I'm sorry. I... I didn't mean to frighten you," she said quickly in spite of being the one most frightened. Her tail twitched in anxiety behind her, as did her ears. "I'm... I'm a Vaporeon.... a Pokemon, sir. M-My name is Chiyo.... Oh, but... I am in human form. But... it's easier to speak to you this way.... Um... what is... your name?"
Now feeling a bit guilty for rambling, she cautiously glanced up at him, wondering what he might say or do. He didn't seem to be too happy....
XD oh my
He didn't particularly pay attention to the name. He didn't find a need to quite yet. She was just a stuttering .... pokemon... thing that had appeared and was frightened of him. Now Innes wasn't necessarily scary, nor did he want to be perceived that way. He just wanted to be best.
And far be it from his manners to not properly introduce himself. He may be an ass, but he was an honorable ass. "I am Prince Innes of Frelia," he replied.

"Y-You're a prince?" she asked a little bit excitedly. She had only heard of them from books and never imagined that she could meet one here at the school. "It's... It's my first time meeting one. I'm... I'm very honored to make your acquaintance, Prince Innes."
She opted to try and do a curtsey, having read that it is a traditional practice for women to curtsey in front of royalty. However, since she only recently learned to humanized, she wasn't fully used to her human form and stumbled in the process.

"That's right," he replied smugly. "Soon to be king." Well once he managed to survive this place. So far it hadn't been entirely welcoming. He needed to learn something first, apparently. What was it, math? sciences? well it certainly wasn't magic. He didn't care to use it (not that he really could anyway).

Follow him.
"The fact that you're looking a bit confused."
And also those weapons didn't really help.

There's actually a snort from him as he said that, considering his reactions, it's already kinda telling that this person right here is not a people person.
"You sure you don't need a help?"
no subject
"Tell me where this is," he stated, shoving the residency paper at him. At the very least, he could find his living quarters.
