The Framing of Justice
Who: People and Caim
What: This is a catch all.
When: November 26 ~ November 30
Where: See the aforementioned cut.
Warning: Probably not.
What is this? Why, it's a 'catch-all' log. Very simple!
Caim doesn't have an office, unfortunately. You can find him in any number of places, however, between the dates listed previously. So if you're looking to... 'talk' with the mute, try looking in the following.
♦ Personal Quarters - TD-07 (It's a very organised and somewhat barren room.)
♦ Fencing Classroom - (There's not much in here yet.)
♦ Greenhouse
♦ The Lake
He's available for talking to, whether you're interrogating him over past events, recentdick cat events, future events, or if you've never met the man at all.
Make a separate thread for each character and in the subject line, specify an approximate time, day, and location. Action or prose, either's fine. Backdate, futuredate - whatever is convenient for you. That's all you need to do!

Except Mac did and there was a tint of regret that sat in Caim as he stood with the boxer. He did nothing for many moments, simply replaying his own words and refrained from any potential... 'comforting' touches, because he imagined Mac would just about lose it if he tried to form a physical connection. Afterward, he returned to his writing.
My apologies.
I will not know until I see the photography of the scene. I should have inquired if they found the used blade at the scene. I imagine if they did, it would be all too convenient. It will not be an easy road traveled. I do not mind putting myself into it, but if it would be too much for you, perhaps I ought to shield you from it to the best of my ability.

Mac wasn't here to look weak. He was never the one to look weak, ever. Or at least try.
Though not touching him was probably a good call.
He read his words and looked solemn. He didn't want protection and he felt bad he had this sort of reaction. In front of Caim. They guy who did it. And he offered to shield him from the pain? He shook his head.
"It's okay...I'm fine. That's ain't needed. 'Sides, I wanna help catch this guy so I ain't backin' down for nothin'. That ain't how I do things."

What is it that I can do that would be of further assistance, do you think?
Because for all he knew, he was better off only poking in where Knuckles needed him and steering clear the rest of the time. Especially since a good chunk of the academy and the town were pinpointing him as the guilty party. How did someone innocent normally spend their time? Likely in questioning. Perhaps in hiding from unwanted attention.
Caim couldn't say he knew. He'd never been the innocent party before. What an ironic turn of events.

So they needed to do this. And quick. That was his resolve.
He eyed Caim's words. A smile fell on his face, finally. It was small, but it was there. Caim was really trying to help...
...It was pretty nice.
"Just keep an eye out and let everyone know when you find somethin'. And if anythin' looks fishy, lets anyone in on it ASAP...Basically all we can do is just be careful and look into what we could."

Because that was all Caim needed to write originally. He thought on Mac's words a few moments longer, with the same even, stoic expression he wore. But no matter how the man looked - shaggy or well-groomed - his words seemed to betray what he truly considered of a situation, even if he was clinging to a form of freedom.
A lot of what it came down to was Caim's incessant scream that he didn't want to go back to Midgard. Not with what awaited him there. Even if he went back with Furiae, he had no doubt they'd go at their individual times and he would be nothing greater than a feast for the rebirthed 'goddesses' as they wiped mankind clear off the surface of the planet.
And that terrified him a bit. That wasn't something he would or could survive.
As he looked back to Mac, he took to writing again with some consideration.
Perhaps you would like to meet my sister, if you have not already.
pathetic short tag
"She seems like a nice person, I'd love to meet her, yeah. Plus, I think it'll be good if we're all in the loop anyway. Keep in contact."
late tag is the latest
A valid point. I believe we will find her in the library. She seems to have a penchant for books and I imagine the ones here are far more interesting than the ones she was restricted to in Midgard.
He couldn't imagine it was at all interesting to be confined to the thoughts and feelings of a goddess alone. He might have lost his humanity for a time, but she lost her freedom and in a way, Caim believed that to be worse.

Works for him. Mac doesn't mind interaction at all.
Who knows, maybe this will be fun and not like walking on egg shells. This was actually a rarity for Mac to be nervous about meeting someone. Comes with only people of specific titles. Like Daisy's dad...or...aha, Caim's sister.
"The library? Okay, I hope she's there now."
He follows Caim wherever.

Oops. Wrong game. The stroll itself was a bit casual. At least on Caim's end. He gestured at things idly and motioned with his hands, saying very little in the way of importance minus trivial things of his sister. That she was younger, which he'd said before, and that in Midgard, her position had left her in one with little else to befriend than books.
Hence her likelihood in the library, as unfortunate as it was. But at least she could enjoy herself in the academy with books of her choice - not books that forced her into the position of Goddess.
When they did reach the library, he opened the door for the boxer and motioned him in.

Actually, with a close enough look she could be spotted from the entrance. She didn't occupy the circular tables meant for groups, but took to one of the small tables that lined the wall for more silent studying, as far off and private as possible. Furiae didn't always read to study, but the books that she picked up were always for such use. And with her involvement finally in some classes, she took to picking up on topics related to those as well. Like fencing.
But who knows what mysterious book she could be reading at this moment in time. All that's known is that she's there! There. Right over there guys. Furiae. There.

Caim would know where to go from here, he was sure of it.
He looked at Caim signaling he was ready for whatever action he took.

He looked over his shoulder to Mac, beckoned the boxer a little closer and with his hand, he motioned to the brunette keeping to herself in her corner of solitude. And though his stride had begun again, this time with less haste, he couldn't fight the idea that perhaps they would be disturbing her from what little sense of peace she had managed to attain...

So she continued to sit on her lonesome, turning the page of the book she read as the presence of the other two stayed unaware to her.
