furiae is boring
Who: Ai (
iaiai ) & Furiae (
stillawoman )
What: Furiae remembers she knows someone that isn't Caim Caim Caim Caim (or Phoenix Lite)
Where: Greenhouse greenhouse.
When: 01/11/2012 (Thursday)
Warnings : none just some tl;dr.
The couple of days since Furiae's return had been passed in little comfort. Though no one troubled her, unbeknownst to most to even exist, questions without answers left Furiae feeling distraught. Nothing came, nothing happened, and the dullness of the hours she spent awake was hard to accept. All Furiae knew was that something had happened, for an unexplained reason, and now she was left in a situation she did not know what to do with.
I want to find Caim.
It was the desire that spoke strongly in her heart. She had learnt he had left from a teacher at the school, and the room Furiae knew to be his confirmed as much. He was the reason she had found a place in this academy, but what reason was there to it without him? Was she to stay? To her, the school was nothing more than a cluster of buildings, a place that held little meaning to her. And how funny it was, how pitiful, that she stayed here like she had no other choice, when for once in years she had the freedom to move wherever she pleased.
But this life was foreign to Furiae. The people she saw all seemed to fit in picture perfect while she was the odd one out, a puzzle piece in the wrong box.
Lost.
So what would she do?
Her heart wasn't set on a matter, but a face had come to her one night. A young girl with strange purple hair that came down and framed a cheery face. Ai. Furiae remembered their meeting after they had communicated with each other over with the help of a strange object that sat in the room she used. Caim had told her how to use it, but attempting to do so again brought no success. But this girl - Furiae remembered that she and her brother had met, and on that day...
They knew each other. Furiae had gathered that much. She had had little success in finding the two people she knew had a connection to her brother, a young boy and a red-headed woman, but with this young girl, there was a place she could search, wasn't there? A greenhouse. And with using the object before out of the question to get in contact with her, waiting around at the spot that Ai had taken her... well, there was little else for Furiae to do.
So the next day, after breakfast, that was where she went. It was quiet in the greenhouse, but she was thankful that it gave shelter from the chilled weather that wandering around outside wouldn't do. Having nothing to pass the time with, Furiae spent it simply waiting on the small chance that she would meet again with the young girl, entertaining herself with her own thoughts. To pass time in idleness wasn't unusual for herbeing really boring.
The question was, would Ai come to the greenhouse at all? what even grows in november anyway. time to plant some celery guys?? I ONLY KNOW ABOUT POTATOES

The young Pikmin hadn't grown any taller, any wider, nor had the features of her face matured at all. Her hair had grown, but on that morning, Ai had gathered her hair into a mess of a bun at the very top of her head. She had a bag over her shoulder, and she dressed warm for the chilly weather.
Other people in the greenhouse always caught Ai's attention. Usually, she greeted them with a sunny face, a wave, and a cheerful "Hiiii~!" Furiae was greeted with none of that. Not because she was put off by her presence, but rather because Ai first stopped to squint at her. When her blurry face came into focus, Ai smiled.
"I haven't seen you in a long time," she said. Which was an odd greeting. She thought about it for a while, then decided to give Furiae a proper greeting; "Also. Hello."

due to never playing a Pikmin game and knowing nothing about them, instead keeping to herself. But when Furiae heard the door, turned and saw who it was, she was relieved to see that the chance she took in coming to the greenhouse was rewarded. She took a step forward towards Ai, though the space between them was neither too far (but not made too close, either), and then, after Ai had spoken, returned the greeting given to her with a short bow of her head.
"Hello. I have been... gone from here for some time, it seems."
The word "gone" came out of her mouth harder than the rest; so strange it felt to acknowledge in speech. It was the first time since her return she had said anything of it, or even had it confirmed to her by another person.
But acknowledging her time away wasn't quite what she came here to do. Furiae spoke again.
"I hoped I would see you; it is why I am here. I was not sure where else to look."
no subject
"Oh. You were looking for me?"
She sounded a little surprised with the idea. It wasn't quite enough to distract her entirely, though; as they spoke, Ai made her way to where she kept her Pikmin. Idly, she motioned for Furiae to come closer.

"Yes. You know my brother... I do not know how well, but I wanted to ask if you knew anything of his departure."
With the intent of her visit clear in her words, Furiae stood still and waited for a response that would hopefully follow.

At Furiae's mention of Caim, Ai was slightly flustered. She very deliberately averted her eyes from the brunette and her cheeks reddened slightly.
"No," she replied, sounding almost a little bitter. "He didn't say anything before he left. He just disappeared!" A pause, and a huff. "I'm very upset with him!"
no subject
Nor in Ai's reaction. She saw the upset; she heard it, too, and she also heard clearly the words that Ai said, the strength of her No surprising Furiae, but -
Ai did not know where Caim could be.
It sunk Furiae's heart a little, but she also felt a growing guilt. Him leaving without a word, her own disappearance...
"... I fear it is my fault he did so." With those words, Furiae was now the one to turn her head from the girl, looking downwards.
haha oops this is small
"What do you mean?" she asked.
Furiae was Caim's sister. Ai remembered that much. She couldn't remember having heard anything about Furiae leaving. Perhaps that had something to do with Caim's sudden departure...
long tags now suck, praise be to normal ones
But the possibility was there...
"I don't know why, but I cannot remember anything before a few days ago. It is as if... it is as if I have been gone."
It was hard to explain, and to do it in a way that it might make some sort of sense when even Furiae had found none. She had kept her eyes down halfway through it, but sought to look back to Ai.
"But when I came to, I was still here. I know how it must sound, but it is not a lie. My brother, Caim... I only found out after I went to his room that he had gone."
no subject
"You mean you fell asleep... And when you woke up, Caim the Human was gone?" she asked, not sure that she had made sense of it quite yet. She hesitated just a little bit, then tried again, "You disappeared. Do you think he went looking for you? Is that what you mean?"
Idly, she turned her attention back to her Pikmin. One or two of them had squeaked, wanting to show her that the coin she'd given them had sprouted two little yellow Pikmin. She didn't pluck them just yet, but nodded at the flock of Pikmin who had been so eager to show her the new sprouts.

But when she tried again, Furiae perked up, if just a little. Disappeared - well, was it right to think that? She couldn't remember even if she had disappeared or not.
"I believe so..." Furiae gave a nod despite her uncertainty. She paused a moment though, seeing Ai's attention turn away to the plant life that she was looking are. ... for such small things, they were certainly moving around a lot.
"Those creatures... what are they?" The question came out from her mouth without much thought, Furiae's curiosity finally taking over.

But as soon as the attention was drawn away from the prince and to her Pikmin, Ai's expression lit up again. She brought a gentle hand to one of the excited Pikmin's leaf and barely touched her fingertips to the curve of it.
"These are Pikmin!" she explained excitedly. "They're a little like plants, a little like bugs, and a little bit like people. These are my Pikmin. I started with only two, but now they've grown so much..." As she spoke, she sounded rather proud of her modest flock of Pikmin. She withdrew her hand from the Pikmin at her side and touched her fingers to the leaf behind her ear.
"I'm a Pikmin, too, you know!"
no subject
And then, to exclaim herself that she was also one of these things - Pikmin, she had said? - as well. That leaf - it was true that Furiae had seen it and wondered why Ai wore it in her hair, but it hadn't been any of her business to ask, so she never brought the subject up. But did a leaf near her ear make her as well one of her... creatures?
"...You are...?"
The question wasn't asked entirely in disbelief, but more with
utteruncertainty. Furiae didn't want to simply leave a dead air after all that Ai had said, but she wasn't sure of what to really respond with afterwards either.no subject
She looked at Furiae, her expression still rather content. "Do you know my sister, Vianca? She has white hair and red eyes. She is also a Pikmin. She's bloomed, though, and she has a flower instead of a leaf."
no subject
"Your sister..." Furiae thought over the description for a moment, though it was the red eyes that she searched for in her mind. Such a colour in eyes stood out to the woman more than anything, and she had thought she had seen someone here with them that wasn't a particular person she preferred to avoid.
But she shakes her head; it had been some time since she had properly paid attention to others. "I'm sorry, I don't know many people... or Pikmin."
Yet, saying that, she was reminded of the girl who she had shared a room with. Were they the same?
"Your kind... do they only resemble shoots?"
