"Y'better be," Sonic mumbled, his only visible eye threatened by an impending shade of darkness. Sonic wasn't very good at telling these sorts of stories and he knew it, but compelled by exhaustion's accompanying lack of inhibition, he convinced himself to try.
"This whole thing where I change at night's happened before. I tell ya that? Anyway, y'wouldn't know 'cause you're not where I'm from, so you wouldn't remember the entire world breaking apart. Heh heh," Sonic chuckled, too tired to consider how that was really not something to laugh about. There was some wonder if Shadow would nearly have a heart attack over the idea, but he continued on regardless, closing his eye and pulling away at the memories that he held dear.
"I met this little guy who couldn't remember anything about himself. I thought it was my fault since I, uh, kinda fell on him, but in the end, it wasn't." Was he trying his patience yet? "He liked..." Sonic yawned. "The Chocolate Chip Sundae Supreme. A lot. Like, he was seriously going crazy over it. So I called him Chip."
