Sonic had remained rather silent for the remainder of their journey back to Shadow's quarters, which was a miracle all its own, but he told himself to pipe down and let this ride. Upon arrival, he didn't expect the worst, optimism as high as ever that the Chao would have made its own way while lacking supervision and, heh heh, boy, was he ever right.

Sonic whistled as he peeked around the room, standing up behind Shadow with a smirk.

"Look what you've done," he started, gesturing to the barren cups cluttering up his floor. "You've raised a dessert-seeking monster on a path of sugary carnage."
