Shadow nodded energetically, showing that he could understand X 100%. Of course, it was an issue that they couldn't communicate on a mutual level, on a language they both understood. With him being only capable of chirrups and peeps, he wasn't going to get anywhere, despite his knowledge of the English language.

He held his hand out and used his other to make a scribbling motion, his fingers positioned as if he was holding a pencil. Hopefully that got the message across to him that he required paper. He could talk to him that way!
