A snarl boiled over from between pressed lips. As much as Sonic agreed and loved the simplistic nature of Shadow's statement, it wasn't so minimal this time.

"That'd be nice if I could even find him during the day. Twigs 'n leaves aren't exactly 5-star hotel accommodations, y'know. I've been stealin' naps throughout the day as it is." As much willpower as Sonic had in that hard skull of his, it didn't mean much if he couldn't keep his eyes open. "And finding him at night is outta the question."

Them's the facts, but even in their cynic reality, the whole situation before him had dredged up a small smile. Even a little fang popped out as evidence.
