this won't be pleasant.
Who: Eli, Harvey.
What: Meeting in person for the first time in years.
Where: The track field.
When: Oct 16th, mid-evening.
Warnings: Probably a lot of cursing, possibly punching.
Despite the track teacher's abrupt disappearance and the disbanding of the track team, Eli kept up her training. It was all about being faster. Early in her training, Eli would often push herself past her breaking point and would collapse on the track, trying desperately to catch her breath with sharp, heavy gasps. More recently, though, the Arbok was getting better at pacing herself. She practiced breathing techniques, pacing herself, and trying to run as fast as she could without pushing herself too far.
Admittedly, though, Eli was a little distracted. She'd run out of the lollipops Vianca's little sister has pushed on her. She wouldn't miss the insomnia and the anxiety that came with the lollipops, but she missed the way it made her focus on whatever she was doing. Recently, she was obsessed with thinking about her fight with Ondrea and how to best the stupid chicken next time they fought.
With each slap of her foot against the track, she thought up another way she'd like to snap that girl's neck. So engrossed in her own thoughts, Eli was short of breath. And likely wouldn't have noticed if someone wondered over and decided to watch her run.

He hadn't seen her in years, her growing or evolving wouldn't be much of a surprise, he thought. The Mantine wanted to come over and asked, but somehow managed to space out and instead watch the other dashing in the track field.

"What are you looking at?" she asked, her expression already furious.
She recognized him. And if he gave her a close look, he might recognize her, too. That look in her eye, while more mature than the last time they'd seen each other, was that same quick-tempered glare she threw at everyone on the team.

At times, he learned it's best to deal Eli without answering her. The Mantine simply silently stood his spot and waited for Eli to start charging Harvey, he'd be naive but he wouldn't be surprise if the Arbok was still quick-tempered and charging to battles like she used to do back when they were teammates.

"I sssaid, what the fuck are you looking at? Hm?" she repeated, stomping closer to the Mantine. She was trying to keep her temper in check, but she was furious, already starting to lose control of her verbal tic. Eyes a little wilder, she added, "It'sss rude to ssstare."

"It's also rude to speak so harshly with someone older than you," he calmly said instead. However, expecting the other would soon broke out the first punch.
