Who: Sonic, Shadow, and Noel (Brief appearance by Evve)
What: Sonic gets blamed for a certain act of vandalism. Hilarity ensues from his misfortunes. Everyone laugh at him.
Where: Campus & Girl's Dorm
When: Sep. 21 after Amy's arrival/Kitty's vandalism on 20th

Oh, you have got to be kiddin' him right now!

As if Amy's arrival and bragging about being his girlfriend hadn't been a big enough mess, now he had Shadow chasing him down, griping about some other kind of mess and that he was going to pay for it! Seeing as Sonic wasn't much to keep up with anything on the network ever, he wouldn't have seen Adam's e-mail or known much about anything actually occurring within the academy walls. Yeah, the school looked messy, but Amy's flyers hadn't been much a huge help either, and he felt it always kind of looked that way.

In any case, this hedgehog was gunnin' it, not wanting to deal with Shadow's wrath, especially when the circumstances were unknown. He'd just ignore him for now, using his speed to keep just out of his reaches. (Unless he tried to use Chaos Control or some crap. Cheater.)

And, well, he was doing alright... until a rogue Smash ball came out of no where.

"WHAT! NO!"

Too late.

AND POOMF.

HUMAN. AGAIN.

NAKED. AGAIN.

Oh, this was going to be an awful day, wasn't it?

The nearest building was going to be his best bet, having eluded Shadow long enough to have some room for error. He picked himself up and raced inside, stark naked and ready to give a show. Since Shadow had elaborated the equivalence of nudity between hedgehog and human, Sonic actually had an idea of how embarrassed he was supposed to be, but fear had its perks. It kept him going without trying to think of his condition.

The inside of this building looked rather familiar... It was the girl's dorm, wasn't it? He considered going to Blaze's room to hide, but honestly, he couldn't exactly remember where that was. Thinking he might've had an idea, he took hold of the handle to room BW-16 (He was way off) and threw the door open, his bulky body inside, and slammed it shut behind him.

"Phew," he exhaled in relief, reaching his palm up to wipe the sweat off his forehead. He would have to go retrieve his clothing outside later. For now, safety.

What did she just take witness to?

Well, watching that giant blue hedgehog go crashing onto his face was a sight to enjoy, but what had he barreled himself into? He was a human now, and not much of a clothed one either. How curious. She kept her distance from the red zone, waiting for him to carry himself out of sight before moving on with the rest of her life.

She found herself stopping again when Shadow came into sight, his eyes consuming the evidence of the blue hedgehog's lost articles from where he had fallen. She didn't quite hear what he said, but he gave her the impression he was more pissed off than usual. Figures. He ran with a stick up his ass all the time. He had to learn to not care.

Like her. Right then.

When he was gone, she proceeded onward. Y'know, not caring.

... But perhaps curious.

What Noel expected when she returned to her dorm after sifting through tons and tons of flyers with badly drawn doodles was a night of studying while her roommate was out and about. If she wanted to do well at this school, she had to keep overachieving. That's what she thought.

So, she was just sitting at her desk going through her books when the door to her room just swung open abruptly and in entered... someone? Noel jumped at the sudden entrance, it startled her really. Who could this be? She turned around to get a look at this guest a--

OH DEAR SWEET MERCIFUL GOD HE'S NAKED.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!" Let's hope people like the sound of terrified shrieking because with how loudly she screamed half the girls' dorm would be able to hear. Either way, she had no idea what was going on here, but her face is BEET RED and she's trying to look everywhere possible EXCEPT AT WHOEVER THIS IS AND HIS exposed assets.

"W-W-What are you doing?! Wh-Who are you?! G-Get out! This is the girl's dorm! You can't be here, you're.." she doesn't want to say it, she's trying to avoid it, but still. She squeezes her eyes shut as tight as possible and just blurts it out.

"YOU'RE... NAKED!"

Without even thinking Noel just grabs a book and tosses it in the general direction of the nude mystery man, hoping it'll get him the hell out of here. She wasn't sure if it hit him, she didn't want to look at that. She was just trying to be a good student dammit why must naked men randomly barge into her room...

That pudding was probably meant to sweeten the pot, but oh, oh no. Shadow was not going to be taking any of that.

This had to be Sonic, that conniving little snot of a hedgehog. He'd already pranked him multiple times. There was no way this wasn't his doing. It figured, really; it'd be some time since Sonic had gotten into trouble. He was way overdue for some childish carousing.

He was not letting him get away.

Once he'd gotten to the dorm complex, however, he ran into a bit of a problem. He just so happened to get in the way of another rogue Smash Ball, just chilling and enjoying the day, you know, not expecting any hedgehogs to mow it over. However, Shadow did, and in retaliation...

POOF.

He stumbled slightly upon the transformation, sudden as anything, yet he kept moving, not wanting to let Sonic out of his sights. That, and he kind of didn't realize that he was missing something very important.

It was then that he heard the scream.

That was evidence enough. He knew where he was.

Shadow was on his track, plowing through to the girl's dorms and heading for the source of the noise, his loud, heavy, rapid footsteps a brief warning before he flung the door open.

"You...!"

"Huh?!" Sonic yelped, looking toward the initial outburst with his own panic yanking at his phantom tail. "Wha-- Wait!" His heart tripped and stumbled and staggered over Noel's shouting, trying to find a second to breathe out any of his answers to her question. In the end, he could only manage one thing, and it probably didn't mean much to anyone as an excuse.

"You're not Blaze-- WOAH!" BOOK. MORE SCREAMING. "Woah, WOAH! NOEL! NOEL!! Wait! Stop! It's me! Sonic--"

Shadow bursting into the room couldn't have been at a worst time. Sonic just about had his name released into that universe of humiliation, hoping to get Noel to stop freaking out (If he was lucky, anyway), but his pursuer had sniffed him out. Or, you know, heard the shrill shrieks of horror as instigated by his lack of pants.

"C-che..!" Great. Caught between a traumatized girl and a grumpy-ass hedge--human. Well, okay, at least the odds weren't entirely against him anymore.

Noel's face was toward Sonic but her vision is darkened behind eyelids pressed shut as much as her body would allow. She didn't care to hear any of his excuses, which she was thoroughly convinced were lies, and hovered a hand over another book off of her desk, ready to throw at a moments notice. How could he say he was Sonic?

"D-Don't lie to me! Y-You're not Sonic at all! He's a hedgehog!" she shook her head vigorously. Not only discomfort, but anger was easily traceable in her tone. She was a finger's twitch away from grabbing and throwing another book at him when Shadow suddenly burst through the door. The sudden guest prompted her eyes to dart open.

And she just got an eyeful of nude human ultimate lifeform.

It didn't take long for her face to go entirely red in a combination of outrage and total embarrassment. And it took even less time for her to scream.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

No, no, no, no this is not going to go on. Books clearly aren't enough to get these people out of here. Noel stretched both of her arms outward, red-orange circle like emblems forming around her hands and from them appeared the two white pistols, Bolverk, which she pointed right at the two and fully prepared to shoot.

"G-GET OUT OF HERE!"

Her fingers were on the triggers of the guns. She may have shut her eyes at tight as possible again, but she still knew where to shoot. She wouldn't, however, if they left right away. The summoning of her weapon is their warning.

"Why, you little..."

...

Oh.

It was only then that he realized that, for one, he himself was naked right along with his counterpart. Secondly, those were definitely guns being pointed right at him. He's the Ultimate Lifeform, sure, but Shadow wasn't about to take injury for something so needless.

This was Noel, though, wasn't it? He hadn't expected her to be able to materialize guns out of thin air. He'd have to question her about that. There was no time for dilly-dallying, regardless, and with that in mind, he grabbed for Sonic's wrist, a hiss slipping from his throat.

"Sonic, you blundering fool," he growled. "Now look what you've done. We are leaving."

He flipped around, trying to yank at him, making his very real, very attached tail visible to her. There was no way that was a costume.

Shadow pulled him just enough so that his own tail sprung out like a blue hook on a white wall, but Sonic wasn't having it. He tore his limb away from that humanized grip and stepped backward into the room.

"Get real, Shadow! Like 'm just gonna follow ya outta here after that crap! I still don't know what you're gunnin' for my life over!"

Clearly the guns with targets painted on their asses wasn't enough to dissuade him from remaining put, nor was his or Shadow's -

Er, well -

They were both...

Oh, man, the previous explanation was reeling in his brain again.

"Man, Shadow, you're obscene, dude." STOP STARING AT IT, SONIC.

This is too awkward for her tastes right now. She can't handle another moment of this. Whether their tails or ears or whatever are part of a costume or not, that does not change the fact that there are two unknown naked men standing in her room right now!!! That's the only thing on her mind right now, because these two sure do not look anything like anyone she knows!

That's it, they were warned. If seeing the weapon don't get them out, she'll have to resort to actually using them, she has good reasoning for it.

"I s-said to get out of here!"

PEW, PEW, off went one shot from each gun aimed in the general direction of the both of them.

"I am attempting to!" Shadow hissed, dodging the shot with incredible ease. "This idiot is not coming with me!"

He grunted, reaching for him again and yanking, doing so harder than before. He didn't care if it hurt or anything. Sonic was just goofing around, trying to get an explanation out, when that was clearly not going to help anything. This was totally unnecessary! This was just--

"... Eyes. Off. Of the assets."

STOP STARING AT IT, SONIC.

... WOW, STOP GLANCING AT IT, SHADOW, AND I DON'T MEAN YOUR OWN IT.

THIS WAS GETTING HORRIBLY AWKWARD FOR ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.

INCLUDING HIS POOR FEET DANCING AWAY FROM BULLETS. YEESH.

Sonic was at a loss, though. He pulled away from Shadow again, shoulder popping once enough to make him snarl. He took one step toward her and finally gave a booming shout of,

"I LET YOU PET MY EARS!!!"

....

Processing... Processing... Processing... Processing...

"S-Sonic...?"

Noel is not quite sure how to feel right now... But if he remembers that... then this has to be Sonic. She just thought whoever this was sounded a lot like him... but how. What.

This blows her mind. All they can see of her is a thousand mile stare as her arms drop to her sides, the guns disappearing from her hands.

"But... Wh-why do you look like...?" This is all too much for her.

... The ears comment.

What.

Oh, okay, it seemed like that snapped some sense into the little lady. For now, Shadow was going to opt for a plenty more decent option than yelling and flailing with his junk hanging out. He grabbed for something - anything - and brought it over to cover his sensitivities.

Yeah, his cheeks were just a little red, both out of embarrassment he wouldn't admit to and frustration.

"I assure you that there is a logical explanation for this."

Crazy, but logical.

"He's right," Sonic confirmed, taking a few steps toward Noel but not getting too close. "We got hit by some balls and they made us human."

Probably not the best choice of words for a naked man.

Surprises with this school await her at every turn it seems. Noel was still confused as to how some balls ~~hahahaha~~ could turn hedgehogs into humans, but.

"W-wow that's... I-I mean c-can you please..." She can barely get words out between her stuttering. She takes a half step backward when Sonic approaches her and covers her eyes with hand. She'd rather not have that near her. But she doesn't want to SAY IT.

"C-cover...!" Noel gestures downward with her free hand. COVER YOUR SHAME, SONIC. DON'T MAKE HER SAY IT.

Oh my god, Sonic, no. Worst word choice ever.

"Easy request."

Shadow really wasn't caring whether or not Sonic approved of what he was about to do. He made a beeline for the bathroom, grabbed some towels, and tied one around his own waist. That other one? Well, take a guess what he's going to do with it.

He may or may not have tightened it an extra amount around his pesky faker's waist, just to display that he was still not happy with him.

"You can open your eyes now," he grumbled, ears wilting. This was both shameful and stupid. Stupid. Shameful. Stupidly shameful.

"What're you do--HHEE."

Sonic wheezed as the wind was tied right out of him. He swayed away from Shadow with a snarl and grabbed onto the towel to loosen it up a little. He made it comfortable to move in and exhaled with ease. Far better.

"Y-yeah. We're good." But not without Sonic stepping a tad closer to Shadow just so he could shove him away.

Noel was reluctant at first, but she slowly removed her hand from her eyes and inched one of them open...

Once she was able to see for sure that Sonic and Shadow were covered, she let her other eye open as well, though cautiously. At least it's cover and there's no more of that in her face. She lets out a relieved sigh, but the discomfort she's feeling is still very clear by the way her voice shook.

"T-thank you..." FINALLY. Wow, this brings awkward to a whole new level. Give her a minute she's just trying to erase seeing what she saw from her memory.

"Mm.

"Now we will take our leave."

Gee, Shadow was very insistent on leaving. Just why was he--?

"I have a score to settle with a certain vandal."

Oh, and the way he glared at Sonic as he said that... oh.

Guess that's why.

The words had been lost on Sonic and the vessel bearing the speedster's spirit expressed as much.

"'Van --' " And it clicked. Something must've happened to him again, but that had nothing to do with him! Not this time, anyway! "Who you callin' 'vandal'?!" Were he a hedgehog, the spikes on his back would've flared with his anger at the accusation. It was a long time ago, but it reminded him of being chased down because of Shadow, and now he was the one doing the pursuing. How annoying!

Oh, this looked like a fight ready to break out in Noel's room if one ever saw one.

"V-Vandal?!" Noel's expression returned to one of shock. She hadn't been the victim of any vandalism directly, the fact that something of that sort took place just couldn't stand with her. Not only that but fighting needs to take place in her room today thank you, gunfire was enough. What exactly Shadow was talking about Noel didn't know, but she was about to find out.

"W-what are you talking about? What happened?"

"Someone decided to trash my office and litter it with boxes of instant pudding," growled Shadow, his answer not needing any more than that. His eyes were on Sonic the whole time, and needless to say, if looks could kill, the blue hero would have already fallen dead. "It lead to the chase that ultimately landed us here."

Yes, Sonic, you are at fault for all this awkward. He blames you and only you.

"Don't look at me!" He barked in defense, taking another step away from Shadow. "I mean, that's pretty funny," he agreed with a chuckling toast to the real prankster, "but it wasn't me and you're just gonna have to believe that!"

Sonic knew what the problem would be from here on out: evidence. A corroborative witness to his whereabouts. He felt his word should be enough, but clearly it wouldn't be to this guy, especially when he seemed so sure.

"That's awful!"

Shadow did seem quite sure that Sonic was the perpetrator of this crime. Sonic may have said that it was funny and consequently dug himself deeper into the hole with that remark but Noel didn't want to believe that it was him.

"But... are you sure it was Sonic?"

Whether it was or wasn't, Noel certainly couldn't stand for a vandal running amok throughout the school. Even if it costs her more time of half naked guys in her room to try and get to the bottom of this. ~~You know some girls would enjoy this, Noel.~~

Why wouldn't it be? Shadow knew it had to be him. Sonic knew he adored the pudding he got his grubby little mitts on. Who else knew that much? If anyone else did, he sure wasn't made aware of that. Not only that, but the only times he'd ever been properly vandalized was by that little blue rat.

He continued to scowl at him. No matter how much he tried to argue his innocence, he was not about to believe him yet.

"Only he would perform something to this caliber for his sick pleasure," he snarled, not even shifting his eyes over to Noel. Oh, no, she wasn't the one he was concerned about. All eyes on the obvious perpetrator.

Sonic turned to Noel. Disregarding his wardrobe (or lack thereof), his gaze was focused, the sort that pierced through a heart with its intense purity and honesty, yet it lacked anything frigid, harsh. I. Didn't. Do. It.

And that was the truth.

He looked back at Shadow and shook his head.

"I'm not a liar. And if you'd think I'd seriously (This hedgehog's main argument and key word) lie to my friends, y'got another thing comin'." His fingers curled in tightly, fist forming in an annoyance he didn't like to burden. This was just some joke that Sonic would normally blow off, tell Shadow to laugh at and move on with his life. Just another trivial thing!

But being called a liar so genuinely... When did he ever hide the fact he pranked him before? Did Shadow really not trust him at all?

Sonic's expression. It really struck Noel's heart. He couldn't have done this. She believes him. Being accused of this must have really gotten to him badly. Noel felt bad, she had to try and help clear her friend's name. She shook her head slowly and looked at Shadow.

"I think you should believe him..." She pauses before speaking again. "I don't think Sonic would lie to his friends."

Shadow looked between the two of them, his mind slowly centering and pulling away from the retaliation he'd planned on dealing. He considered their words, both of theirs, the genuine intent behind them still questionable at this point.

"I don't think Sonic would lie to his friends."

"If you'd think I'd seriously lie to my friends, y'got another thing comin'."

"... Fine," he conceded, tension unraveling from his body and showing through the visible release of nerves in his shoulders. "You are innocent until proven guilty. However, if you are proven guilty," he snarled, leaning in close to his nose and glaring sharply at him, "you will pay double the original consequences for this."

"Hope you're plannin' on goin' bankrupt on consequences then," Sonic snarled, smacking their foreheads together to make a point. I don't go down without a fight. "cause I didn't do it." From there, he leaned back, nose wrinkled in a scowl.

"Ohhh..." Noel sighs quietly. At least Shadow wasn't going to skin Sonic alive in her room anymore. She would like to discover who the true vandal was. Later she might have to conduct an investigation, but for now it's just best that the naked guys get out of her room. But she did kind of try to hurt them at first, she remembers. Reaching over to her other arm, she rubbed at her shoulder, giving the two an apologetic look.

"B-by the way..." she bows. "I-I'm sorry I shot at you two and threw a book at you, Sonic..."

For that, Shadow was more than willing to be a bit more forgiving. He faced her briefly, examining her for any traces of feigned genuineness, yet he found none. Thus, he was going to treat her with more leniency than Sonic received (if he even got any at all), his voice steadier and calmer.

"Forgiven. It was not your fault. It was..." Well, it was partially his own fault, but the way he glared at his blue companion made it clear that he wasn't about to admit to that. "... mainly his."

Rude.

"It's cool, Noel," the blue hedgehuman replied, pushing Shadow toward the door with little force or malice behind it, despite his resentment at being ~~I almost used 'fingered'~~ accused of an awesome prank. "He deserved to be shot at."

Whether they both deserved it or not, she still felt bad for shooting her friends. Though Shadow was more a friend of a friend in that sense, she felt.

"N-no, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions." Even though considering ALL THINGS LOGICAL it was a good conclusion to jump to, but still. Truth be told she was just glad they seemed to be leaving before those towels around their waists fell off.

"She's correct," he spoke, eyeing him with a hint of wrath gleaming in his eye. "It amazes me how a young girl has more logic in her mind than a supposed 'Ultimate Lifeform'."

People mistook him for this dunce of a hedgehog. Sometimes, Shadow remembered that and shook his head in both wonderment and befuddlement. The color issue alone was already ridiculous, but adding smartness to the mix? Yyyyeah.

"Wow, you read my mind," Sonic punctuated Shadow's sentence with, eyebrows up and a fake smile dancing on his lips. "But if you'd like t'jump to anymore conclusions, I can go grab a rope for ya. Get'a workout outta it."

He pushed him again, this time to get past him and through the door.
