Gymnastics Class

Who: Chun Li and the "Gymnastics" class
What: First days of class

When: Beginning of semester

Chun Li would be standing in the gym about an hour before her students where slated to begin arriving, wanting to make sure the gym was setup the way she wanted it to be.  Of course the first day was going to be extremely easy.  She didn't want to scary anyone off with just the first class meeting.  At the same time, she definitely wanted her students to leave class better than when they arrived.

Speaking of arriving, Chun Li would give a cheerful smile to her students as they began arriving, motioning to the padded floor in front of her.

"Come on in and have a seat where you like!"

Class Intro

Once it appears that everyone who is going to arrive has arrived, Chun Li gives a light cough to get everyone's attention.

"Good afternoon, everyone! As most of you already know, my name is Chun Li and this is what I'm calling gymnastics class. However, the focus on this class isn't so much about doing flips and cartwheels but more about learning to understand and control your body. We will be doing various stretching exercises and training techniques which I've used myself in order to help you improve in your speed, agility, and spatial awareness. Any questions so far?"

The doors are kicked in and Peacock walks into, a large cigar in her mouth.

"Looks like I'm right on time," She says as she struts on towards Chun Li and the group. She takes off her hat and pulls out a lawn chair. She sets it down near the back of the group and plods herself down, blowing a big puff of cigar smoke into the air.

And right behind Peacock is Marie. She notices her friend's little stunt and just...sighs before walking over to her.

"...Peacock, you could at least be a little considerate."

[bassinyoface]

Peacock looked over the her friend. "Eh? Why? She's the fuzz. We aren't supposed to be nice to them."

[bloodied_maid]

"Be that as it may...she is still the teacher, and this class looks like fun."

After saying that, the maid leans in and whispers in Peacock's ear: "I know you don't like the police, I can't say I blame you...but at least try to tolerate her in class. For me?"

Chun Li had managed not to sigh out loud at Peacock's rather noisy arrival, definitely not wanting to give her more attention than she warranted...but one thing couldn't really go unmentioned.

"Peacock, there will be no smoking in my class. Please put that out and put it away."

Peacock was going to respond to Marie, but Chun-li took her attention. She chewed on her cigar for a moment before responding. "What's the big idea Ms. Thunder Thighs? Cigar's never cause any problems in the cartoons."

Chun Li sighed and placed a hand on her hip. She had a feeling Peacock wouldn't make things easy.

"That's because this isn't a cartoon. Now I'll ask you again. Please put out the cigar and put it away."

[bassinyoface]

Peacock took another puff and blew the smoke out of her eye socket. "I'm almost finished with it. I'll put it out then."

As much as Chun Li wanted to just let it go, she didn't want to give the impression that she would just let things slide. Better to start off strict than the other way around.

"You'll put it out now, or you'll take it outside."

[bassinyoface]

Peacock sighed. She took another deep puff of the cigar, then blew the smoke towards Chun Li, before taking off her hat and throwing it in there.

"Not that you could make me go outside, but I do want to see the little flips and cartwheels. Carry on Thunder Thighs."

Skull Kid plopped down on the padded floor and immediately shot an arm into the air.

"But we are gonna do cartwheels, right?"

Chun Li smiled and nodded.

"You'll be free to do cartwheels at certain times during class."

[drawin_on_trees]

"YAY!" This was already the best class ever.

[robinsegg]

Sig didn't exactly have a question, but he was somewhat distracted from the lecture as he played around with a... ladybug.

He looked pretty happy not paying attention to class...

"Ahem."

Sig would find Chun Li looking directly at him. She had a smile on her face so she didn't seem overly upset by the lack of attention.

"Did you catch all that?"

[robinsegg]

The ladybug flew away by the teacher's voice, and Sig looked up at Chun Li.

"Uh..." He scratched his head; what was it again...

"Stretching." Right?

[iaiai]

Ai came prepared! It was just the first class meeting, but the young Pikmin had done some reading about gymnastics and learned that a leotard was the typical dresscode for these sorts of classes.

So Ai sat cross-legged on the ground, back rigid, and wearing a brand new leotard. She listened to Chun Li's class description with a great smile on her face. After others had asked their questions, Ai shyly raised her own hand and wriggled her fingers at the pretty instructor.

While she hadn't made any sort of special clothing requirements for the class, she was pleased to see that Ai was clearly prepared and so eager to begin.

"Did you have a question?"

[iaiai]

"Yes!" Ai replied, arm still in the air. "When do we start? Learning gymnastics, I mean!"
