So gather up your jackets, move it to the exits, I hope you have found a friend
Who: Whoever!
What: GRADUMACATION AND PROMS
When: The evening of June 2nd
Where: Das Stadium
Warnings: WHO KNOWS
One might find the stadium a little hot and humid for those used to a spring graduation ceremony. This fine evening the Academy is experiencing its first hints of summer, a warm breeze providing relief to those who would sit on the stadium floor, which had been rearranged into a platform overlooking neat rows of chairs meant to seat the gathered crowd of faculty and students. Towards the other end of the complex was the arrangement for the prom that was to follow. Food and drink, chairs and tables, each with a floral centerpiece, and, of course, a dance floor.

-------
HEY DUDES! Here's how stuff is going to work. We kick off the log with GRADUATION. This part of the log will be divided into separate threads. I'll post them all at once, so feel free to hop around, mingle, post whenever, wherever.
HOWEVER, once the PROM starts, it will be up to you guys to post your own threads. Please check out last year's log if you'd like an idea of how this works. Everything after the thread titled "DISMISSAL" (I will post that in a bit, so don't post prom threads until I have that up!) will be considered prom, though don't let that stop you from continuing to post in the graduation section.
Please label all your threads appropriately! (Examples: "SHENANIGANS AT THE FOOD TABLE", "DANCE-OFF", "THE PUNCH IS SPIKED", "BOTHER X" In general, a location + what is going on in the thread is the way to go. Obviously, more than one thread can take place at the same location. Linking back and forth when and if you thread hop is very much appreciated. If things start to look a bit laggy, we'll bump to the next page. Most importantly, HAVE FUN, and let a mod know about any problems or concerns you might have!

And apparently was very disgusting. Navarre frowned at Byrne's reaction. "How disappointing," he commented. "Looks like this 'party' is gonna be dull."

Then again, he really didn't feel like getting sticky syrupy stuff all over the freshly-polished metal. So he simply sighed and chugged the rest of it.

He frowned again, refolding his arms, staring back at something. "How long do these 'parties' last?"
no subject
"The masquerade ended shortly after midnight. I have a feeling this one will be longer."
He didn't know what time it was right then. All he knew was that the minutes were dragging so slowly, with this god-awful music hurting his sensitive ears.

"There must be something interesting about this," Navarre added. He hated being bored and right now, he was bored out of his skull.

"Hmm," he pondered aloud, trying to think of something to do. Byrne wasn't a prankster of any sort. In fact, he thought pranking was pretty low and stupid. On Halloween, he had found his room covered in filth like silly string and eggs, and if he ever figured out who did it, he would violently injure them.
"I could run to my room, grab a flask, and spike that punch. That would prove interesting."

He stood by the punch bowl and watched, carefully observing any students or teachers who happened by it. When his coast was clear, he discreetly dumped the contents of the flask into the sugary drink.
Upon standing back next to Navarre, he told him, "There. It is done."

Unfortunately the last fifteen minutes proved to be incredibly boring. Not even the hint of a fight arose.
At least Byrne didn't take too long to retrieve the alcohol and spike the punch. "Let's see how much of a punch this punch has."
no subject
"It still tastes terrible," he commented, "But a drink is a drink."
So he stood and watched as students hopefully consumed said punch with hilarious results.

Even with the comments with how bad it was, there was some sort of temptation to drink it, just to see how it was and make a manly statement (though anything compared to grog was generally good). "Here goes nothing," he commented aloud, downing the cup of punch like a shot glass. Oh gods was this a horrible concoction, and the disgust showed as his face twisted into a horrified knot. At least it had a good kick to it as the alcohol left a bit of a sharp burn on the way down.
[ ooc: thread hop or stay here? ]

[ooc: Hmm I guess we can threadhop, or wait until someone tags the other thread.]

[ either or. or both XD ]

Byrne enjoyed sweet things in moderation, like White Russians or maybe the occasional margarita, but this was just terrible.
"It's a shame there seems to be nothing else here to drink."

Byrne perhaps might have had a soft spot buried deep in his core for young children, but they often annoyed him. But he did find himself less angered by their innocence.

He shifted his weight a bit, staring out in the crowd again. The music really was god-awful. "They need better music. My ears are gonna fall off."
no subject
"It's up there on my list of unpleasant things I've heard," he agreed.
no subject
"How can anyone listen to this junk?" Or even dance to it?
