It's that time again, where the school's impressive auditorium is filled with rows and rows of folding chairs, and prospective buyers take a seat while those waiting to be sold line up on the stage. At the podium, there is Seth Richardson; looking both thrilled and not thrilled to be here.

"Welcome, everyone to our Student-Faculty Auction! As you may or may not know, Host Club has invested a fair share of funding into this event to make it as wonderful as it should be. You should thank everyone in Host Club for all their hard work."

Yes, it had taken a rather large exertion on his part, and yes he was sure he could think of better things to do but, if all went well, his investment would see, ahem, some return in his own pocket.

Not that anyone needed to know that.

[[APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY FOLKS. At this and pretty much everything this event. We'll use this experience and future-date things a week in advance next time. There are some RULES TO THIS AUCTION so PLEASE READ:

• Help us and your fellow players out by also commenting in the TITLE with your BIDDING AMOUNT.
  
• Try be IC with character's money amounts... or lack thereof. We are pretty flexible and want you to have fun and you are allowed creative work-arounds; lying and loan sharks and playing out the subsequent consequences of those sorts of things are excellent options I fully endorse.
  
• One purchase per person. Bidding on multiple people is very encouraged, but you will only walk out of here with one.
  
• People in the auctions are allowed to bid on other people in the auctions.
  
• Auctioned people can come with a highly recommended Crazy Hand brand obedience collar™. These will be optional OOC, but if you utilize them they will be mandatory IC.
  
• If you don't see a thread for your character and you want in, don't hesitate to make one for yourself! If you see a thread for your character and you want out, don't comment or (preferably) leave a note and we can delete no problem.
  
• We'll try to help you as far as clarifying who wins who, but this will primarily be left up to player discretion. Use of ((OOC NOTES)) is highly recommended as RNG will not be involved. Unless. You want it to.

Sad, lonely, extremely loaded people. Like hell Char had five thousand bucks sitting around to squander on fundraisers, but that bid was so extravagant it bordered on funny. Let's... let's see just how desperate this guy is. So Char. Raised a hand. And bid a bunch of money he did not even have.

Falcon was neither sad nor lonely, but he was very much loaded and wasn't about to sit and watch Samus get sold off to Char or Bowser or Majima. It was simply not an option.

He'd kept quiet until now, leaning against the back wall and brooding into his sunglasses, gauging the situation and seeing just how far these creeps were willing to go.

But now was the time. Now was the time to put that ridiculously extravagant racer-slash-bounty hunter paycheck to good use.

"Ten thousand."
