Char probably could have gotten away with not saying anything else at all. The initiative of contact was more than enough to let Bulba know that he hadn't said anything over the line or something like that. While not the ear itself, there was still a minute shiver as the initial touch of Char's thumb tickled. That quickly gave way to a pleasant, calming sensation. Bulba's eyes eased closed while Char sorted out his thoughts, his ear occasionally flicking in response to the nearby touch.

The dragon's voice brought him back to attention.

"You're crazy," Bulba complied softly. "... but I get the feeling that you're probably right, so I guess I'm pretty crazy too."
