The hand that closed supportively around Char's was bigger than the one that had tried to hold his two years ago. It was a lot easier to help Char to his feet this time, being so much closer to him in size. The emotional weight of it, however, remained much the same. He knew Char hated it, and that this wasn't anything he would have wanted. It was all Bulba could do though. He didn't know how else to repay the support that had been given to him if it was always shrugged off. It was a heavy feeling, and despite all his efforts, Bulba still wasn't sure he truly understood it.

Bulba silently helped him up, mindful of any stumbling that could happen. He held Char's hand for a moment longer than he probably should have, looking at it. This time he would let it go. On his own two feet, the dragon could choose to do as he pleased- but if he needed it, the Ivysaur would be there. Bulba glanced up at him, trying to convey that, but he wasn't sure how well that worked.

"Is this okay...?"
