[HOT SPRINGS TRIP] BOYS' SPRING

Characters: Male students only, please!
What: Hot Springs - Boy's side!
Where: Fountain of Youth Hot Springs, the boy's spring.
When:
Sunday, July 13th
Rating: Let's call it PG-13.

...It's a hot spring. Pretty self-explanatory. Traditionally, you wear a towel, but if that's not your thing then swimsuits are also acceptable. The spring for the male students is the one farthest over to the right, next to the faculty spring -- so don't you go wandering off to girl's spring unless nobody's looking, boys.

If you're headed into the hot spring, then it might be a good idea to start a new comment post, same as the hotel. This thing's bound to get huge, so let's keep the threads as neat as we can. You're welcome to RP this however you like; if you make a tegaki thread, just link it in a post or something.

I think that about covers it, so sit back, relax, and enjoy yourselves.

Tony grinned back and nodded. Now that Jeff mentioned it, though, he kind of had to wonder how the school raked together the funds to support trips like this. Maybe there were some high-stakes tournaments that happened officially, once a year or something?

He looked to Lucas, thinking for a moment and settling on admitting, "I've heard so many crazy stories that this is one I have an easy time believing." Plus it involved SumaBura and if the bus ride over there was any indication, there was no limit to the kind of crazy crap that could go down.

"Heheh, I suppose it could've been." They were hot springs, after all!

"Things'll only get crazier from here, Tony, believe me." Jeff leaned against the rocks, grinning tiredly. "He looked older than six, though. Ten, twelve, maybe."

He twitched a bit at the glasses comment, and he stared (unfocusedly!) at Lucas' face, just inches from his own. "H-hey, my eyes aren't THAT bad!" Had his face not already been flushed from the heat it would be pink now anyway. So tempting... but not in front of everyone, sheesh! He fidgeted a bit and subtly moved his arm beneath the water to grasp at Lucas' hand.

"Ahh and just when I thought we might at least get a few moments of peace..." Oh well, it hadn't been constant calamity so far at any rate.

So Tony was chalking up the massively small distance between Jeff and Lucas' faces to the former's pre-established lack of glasses. He liked to think of himself as a patient person and was willing to give his best friend in the whole wide world ever the benefit of the doubt. Politely not staring and instead looking over to the wall (there were so many sounds coming over from the other side), he summoned a grin to his face and glanced at Jeff from the corner of his eye. "You could always consider contact lenses?"

"Contacts, huh? I wonder..." He turned his gaze skywards as Lucas moved to sit beside him, and he gave his hand an affectionate squeeze. "I've heard they can get stuck in the socket though, or something." He grimaced. "That doesn't sound very nice at all... besides, at least if I drop my glasses I can still find them right away."

He glanced down at Lucas for a moment, just long enough to catch his eye. "Speaking of... Maybe I should go get them. It is pretty hard to see out here."

Tony swiveled in his 'seat,' apparently bored with the commotion sounding from the faculty bath and sat at an angle that would allow him to better talk with and observe Jeff and Lucas. It was true Tony was innocent in a number of respects: he was hardly privy to the extreme tension between his friends, teachers and Porky, and he only had suspicions as far as this new relationship of Jeff's went. Those suspicions made him more than a little paranoid however, enough to feel the need to interject as soon as Jeff turned his eyes to Lucas and suggested he go retrieve his glasses.

Part of Tony wanted to ask, with much sarcasm, why Jeff hadn't just worn his glasses in the first place. But he was being as tactful as possible about this. "With all this steam, glasses would probably make it even harder to see. Like when our windows used to fog over when they turned up the heat, it's a real pain." He shrugged with a helpless expression. Either way it was the truth, if he wore glasses himself he wouldn't have brought them into the springs either.

Jeff bit his bottom lip, watching Tony out of the corner of his eye. Maybe if he just told him, he wouldn't mind giving them some alone time... Then again, that was pretty much the same as saying "hey, we're going to ditch you to make out now." Was lying to him really any better, though? Maybe if they were quick enough, and as long as they did remember to retrieve their respective belongings...

"You might be right, Tony," he admitted sheepishly. "But we'll see. If they do fog up, I guess I'll just take them back off. Still, it would be nice to take a better look at the spring... It looked really nice in the brochure, so..." He stood once agai, making sure to let go of Lucas' hand before bringing his arms out of the water.

"I guess we'll be right back, then. This is a good opportunity to meet someone while we're gone! You did want to do that, right?" Hopefully that was a good save. "Want us to bring you anything, too?"

Tony lowered his head ever so slightly at Lucas' remark. It did make sense, he supposed. Though it wasn't a subject normal people debated over. Adding to the fact that Jeff couldn't simply retrieve the transformation ball for Lucas - after all, a friend-friend would look out for his pal and save him the trip - something was very clearly going on between these two. According to his gaydar the uneasy feeling gnawing at the pit of his stomach, anyway.

"A-ah, yes, it is very nice to look at." His cheeks flushed lightly as Jeff not-so-subtly took Lucas' side. It took Tony only a moment of thought before he too pushed himself to his feet with a faked sheepish grin. "Of course! I'd love to meet more of my peers, but when we're limited to only the boys, that kind of takes the fun out of it." He patted the hat sitting on his head. "Still, first I probably ought to take this back to the room while we're at it, it's not the sort of fabric that should get wet." Nevermind the fact they lived in a region that was swallowed by a perpetual winter. With snow. "Besides, maybe we'll meet a few folks on the way!"

There was no way to win this without someone's feelings getting hurt... and, as good as Jeff seemed to be at doing that lately, it wasn't something he particularly liked doing. He gave Lucas an equally helpless look. I'll... think of something, maybe.

He forced a quiet laugh in Tony's direction. "Why did you even wear that down here? ...Alright, come on, then." He started a slow, casual walk back to the building, not in as much of a hurry as he was before.

Whether Tony simply didn't get the looks Jeff and Lucas were exchanging or whether he was purposefully ignoring them wasn't clear, but was probably an easy enough guess. He returned the humorless chuckle and shrugged his shoulders. "I guess I forgot to take it off! Probably because I'm always wearing it, you know?" That last rhetorical question was emphasized by his drawing the words out and flashing a side glance to Jeff before he fell into line behind Lucas.

He couldn't help scrunching his face up into a frustrated pout once their backs were to him. The least Jeff could do was be honest if there was something going on between him and Lucas; acting like Tony hadn't the foggiest idea was just insulting the poor boy.
