[Closed] Hanging out with favorite person
Who: Bulba, Gladys
What: A not date
Where: Starts at school, greenhouse, and eventually to FDC
When: Sunday, Feb 5
Warnings: Nothing???
gladys and bulba were enjoying a nice afternoon tea together
marie kicked the door in and threw both of them out the window
the end u_u [Thank you Kate]
Gladys was excited about all this. Sure, she did get that Bulba was still feeling down from that pink boy leaving, but hanging out with her favorite person! She couldn't ask for more. Yes, she was now able to see him everyday and she got to talk to him everyday, but it wasn't exactly the same as being able to spend time just with him.
A date? She sure did want to think that, but this was strictly to get Bulba to cheer up again.
Impatient as she was, Gladys made her way to Bulba's room and knocked at the door.

Impatient as she was, Gladys made her way to Bulba's room and knocked at the door.

He was already ready when the knock came at the door. There was a chance that he might have been a bit... eager.
"Hey," he greeted as he confirmed that it was Gladys beyond his opened door.

She wanted to start jumping around the area, that's how much she was looking forward to this hanging out.

17coats."And so he did. A scarf too, which he was looping around his neck. Properly armed against the chill of the outside world, Bulba gave her a nod as he met up with her again outside the room. "Where first then?"
no subject
That way, when they're out in the city, they can possibly get distracted with more fun things to do!

"And off we go!"
no subject
"Off we go."
AND OFF THEY WENT. It didn't take them very long to get there at all, especially with the nip of cold air encouraging a brisk pace. The greenhouse seemed even warmer than it actually was by contrast when Bulba opened the door for her. The smell of dirt and flowers was still heavy, and he found more comfort in the scent. He took a deep breath, relaxing a little at Gladys' side.
no subject
"Ugh, I wonder when it'll start getting warmer again!" She said with a small frown on her face... but as they entered the greenhouse, she was already back to her cheerful self.
"Aahh, this place always feels so relaxing! So many different kinds of plants I wouldn't be able to see!"
She was itching to dance through the place.

The garment was promptly pulled away from his face when they got inside so he could talk a bit easier, let alone the the toasty details. He looked over the jungle of a room, smiling a little more. There really was a huge amount of variety. It had been the same for him: there were so many he couldn't have fathomed existed before he came to the school. When the line had blurred between them being something wildly new and something that seemed normal to him, he wasn't able to put his finger on. It didn't really matter.
"I have a few that need a little watering. Do you want to help or...?" Go dancing around? He was getting the idea that's what her happy feet seemed to mean.

Gladys was then reminded of the purpose of hanging out today when she heard the other speak. Yes, she did want to dance, but they were here to cheer Bulba up. She smiled back at the Ivysaur when she saw him smile more.
"I'd love to help!" She replied cheerfully before looking slightly confused, "Oh, but would it be a little different than taking care of piranha flowers?"
Or were they going to take care of piranha flowers? What kind of plants did Bulba take care of here? Did he take care of all of the plants here? So many questions.

It would be a lot easier to answer them if she had actually asked all of them. For now he moved off to the little storage area, grabbing one of the normal watering cans and a slightly smaller one for Gladys. "It's a little different," he told her with a nod, filling them up with water. "There's no meat involved, for one." Bulba personally found that to be a plus, but he wouldn't really say as much.
He handed the smaller can over to her, nodding with his head in the direction that they would be headed. Bulba didn't personally keep very many plants in the greenhouse. He would have preferred to keep them all in his room, but the mystery nibbles had persisted up until now. That was a bit frustrating. The hardier plants got to stay after he was sure they would be all right, but the Ivysaur had moved the more delicate flowers out to the greenhouse where they wouldn't be bothered.
"They shouldn't need too much right now, so we're just going to sprinkle them a little if they need it," he explained as he led her to his little spot. There was a pot of pink flowers, one with smaller yellow blossoms that resembled his own a bit, and a number of smaller plants that looked like they were just starting to really grow.
no subject
"That one looks like your flower!" It was probably better to ask if there's anything that didn't remind her of Bulba....

"Hi Saffron, nice to meet you! I'm Gladys!" She greeted the plant with a smile.

This moment, though... He smiled, bright and genuine, as he watched it play out. It tickled him a little to see two cheerful flowers that meant a lot to him get along. It was almost like a nice reassurance. At least his girls would get along. His girls. What a novel concept. The Ivysaur laughed a little to himself and made a small gesture with his hand.
"She likes you. Could you give her a sprinkle? Just a little one would be good for her right now."
no subject
Here Saffron, enjoy the delicious water!" She chirped as she lightly poured some water at the plant.

Meanwhile, Bulba had moved on to take care of Rosa the Anemone and some of the not-yet-named clover plants. They were all well off at the moment though, so Bulba held off on giving them much water. They were a bit overdue for a chat though. So he mimicked Gladys, kneeling down near them with his arms propped up on the flats.
"Hello," he said to them, keeping his voice relatively quiet. "How are all of you? Sorry I've been a little quiet... This is Gladys. She's a friend. I'm sure all of you will get along really nicely."
no subject
"Hello! Nice to meet you all! I hope you don't mind me visiting and sing to you guys a lot!"
Because she was definitely going to visit a lot.
no subject
He got up then, giving Rosa a light ruffle with his fingertips. "There's a few others that I need to check up on for someone else. I'm sure they'd like to have a visit from you too."

"... He's off on a trip for a while, though... So I'm checking up on his guys for him."
Did he sound a little sad about it? Probably a little.
no subject
"A person who just leaves and doesn't take care of his own plants doesn't sound like a good person." She said quietly, mostly to herself. Was there a hint of jealousy in her voice? Yes.
no subject
"He's normally very good about it," Bulba assured gently. "He just... needs some time to sort himself out. We can't really take care of other plants if we can't take care of ourselves."
no subject
She was clearly upset about this now.
no subject
Bulba gave a little sigh and shook his head, going over to her to gently touch her back and lean his head in towards her. The smell of his flower mixed sweetly with the scents surrounding them. "Don't be mad?"
no subject
"Even a nice person needs to have a break?" She asked, not fully understanding it. "...Do you need breaks too?"
no subject
"Mm... sometimes," he said. "Everyone needs one sometimes so we don't burn out." Bulba took a breath. "But yeah. I do too," he admitted quietly.
He smiled at her again. "I'm not going anywhere though."
no subject
"Can I..." tag along? It took all of her mind to prevent herself from saying those words. If Bulba wanted to leave, she should be letting him do as he wished. But part of her mind said she would probably end up trying to pull him back.
"...Never mind." she instead said.
no subject
But that wasn't being entirely honest, was it? He paused and took her gently by the shoulders, standing in front of her. "If Green ever says its time to go, I'll follow. But until then..." He shook his head. "If I do go anywhere, it won't be for long, ok?"
no subject
"Okay." She gave a smile in response. She hoped Bulba wouldn't go anywhere, though.
no subject
You were very fond of the prince of doomed relationships. The universe apologizes.
Bulba leaned down and nuzzled her cheek fondly once more, smiling now that she was again.
"Will you still help me out a bit?"
no subject
"Yes! Of course." Gladys replied cheerfully shortly before falling into her predictable questions: "what should I do next?"
Because after the the cute plants were taken care of, they were going to
go on a datego hang out around the city.
