Wherein Duster Plays an Instrument: A Log I Meant to Do Months Ago: A Rockabilly Sound Explosion

Who: Duster and others
What: Duster is playing a thing
Where: The music room, a common room, a room, your room, every room
When: Thursday Dec. 15th through Sunday Dec. 18th, 8pm-10pm
Warnings: Sweet jams.

Praytell, dear gentle reader, what is that? Why, 'tis the haunting melody of some melodic notes that haunts you. And... some slapping. Some slapping and some musical notes. Just listening to it makes you want to wear a poodle skirt or buy some pomade. A lot of pomade. It sort of sounds something like this...

And the man playing it, oh, dear reader, is tall and thin and wearing blue and has sideburns and smells of some sort of cheese. What an interesting and fun person he would be to bother know.

ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO BRAVE THE MUSIC AND ACCOST THE GENTLEMAN PLAYING THAT STRANGE, GIANT VIOLIN-THING?

There were. Funny enough, this all sprung from the descendant of a great hero's accidental awakening of a sleeping dragon. Well, a dragon sealed to a fate of never unleashing wrath again, but it still counts.

Waka had a twinge of surprise course through his face. This man... knew a lot more than he thought.

"Yes, yes. The one who awakened the dragon... and the one who helped to slay it again."

Amaterasu and Susano, Shiranui and Nagi. Funny how events seemed to repeat themselves.

"It tried to, but... well, you could say the gods were on our side! We got very lucky that the dragon and the darkness got eradicated."

Namely because their might was so fierce that even Ammy almost failed to defeat them.

"... Nowhere Islands?"

Oh. That was an automatic tip-off that this might have been a completely different thing. Welp.

"You are from a different world, aren't you?"

"Nippon, Japan," he explained simply. Honestly, that was only the brief gist of it. Where Waka really came from was somewhere completely different.

"Our days of darkness began there. I suppose for you, it was different."

Welp.

"I see."

Waka's face fell for a moment -- not to an expression of sadness, but concern. Different apocalyptic occurrences at different times. That was just...

Well, that face didn't last long. He tried to put on another jolly smile, as per usual.

"Well! At least it obviously didn't end too badly, yes?"

The final needle, the dragon, this Lucas kid's purity... unfortunately, even for a clairvoyant Moon Tribal man like him, he still couldn't envision anything relating to that. Waka was left entirely in the dark, and it made him feel a little uneasy.

"How peculiar. Yes, yes, very peculiar... although what you say," he pointed out, "makes no sense on this poor prophet's head. Care to enlighten me on this dragon and your little friend?"

Well, that was an interesting story. Waka had to say he was legitimately entertained. In fact, it gave him a clearer picture... the image of a beautiful island with lush greenery, simple people, and homely buildings, full of life and graciousness.

For him to get that sort of vision instead of that of a doomsday must have meant something good. He gave an airy laugh.

"Your home will be just fine, monsieur! I think your little blond friend is angelic enough. You may have all gotten very lucky."

How did he know about Lucas being a little blond kid? Well, amongst the people in that symbolic vision, less a full prophecy and more of a representation of a good fate, he saw a boy in the center of it all.

A boy with a needle and a massive sunflower in his hands.
