Telling them a story told by flora
Who: COMPLETELY OPEN
What: Good old gardening fun
Where: Greenhouse and gardens
When: Sept 5th to 12th
Warnings: Well, anything can happen. But try to be nice to the plants.
Any student who wishes to are able to fill the greenhouse with plants of their choosing, making it a diverse jungle inside. With permission from one Miss Erika, they're also allowed a small plot in gardens where they can tend to their own vegetables, fruits and herbs.
Of course, some students take advantage of this more than others. That's what this log is for! If you want to spend time in the greenhouse tending flowers, or sowing seeds in the garden, picking fruit or even just taking naps, then it's very likely you're going to run into other folk doing the same. Sneaking in to nibble on leaves that don't belong to you? Wanting some extra help with your botany homework? Looking for a quiet place to make out while totally not getting ambushed by hungry piranha plants? This log is yours!

Feel free to make multiple threads for whatever it is your character does in the greenhouse. And remember to tag yourself!

Sept 8th, noonish
Anyway, since helping repair and repopulate the greenhouse last year, Lighter took it upon himself to tend to the tomato plant he contributed. Since then one plant had become several, and while they weren't going to win any ribbons anytime soon they were tasty enough. And in the greenhouse they could grow all year!
His current batch was just ripe enough to harvest, so after his morning woodshop class he headed down to pick some tomatoes. Maybe he'd ask Nancy to whip something up with them for a late lunch. Mm...

Re: Sept 8th, noonish
He'd been showing himself around the town, the forest, the greenhouse, the buildings, and trying to commit to memory every nook and cranny that he passed by. One never knew when it might come in handy. And he was nothing short of a man of the land - just not by choice.
The harbour for the plants was no exception. In face, he'd been crouching perfectly still for about ten minutes, just watching Lighter harvest his tomatoes. Most of his face was concealed by a rather bushy fern plant. The only thing that really showed were his blue eyes, but even then, you'd have to be paying attention to catch that.

Like... the 7th... mid-afternoon
if a certain trainer hadn't taken the liberty of ransacking the greenhouse a couple times for poffins. :'|growing different types of berries. It was really pleasing, since it meant a shorter trip for the legendary. Especially when you just have those certain cravings for certain berries. Normally Dana wasn't very picky - being Docile natured and all - but at times she did wish to have one thing other than another.Today she seemed to be wandering aimlessly through the greenhouse, taking a look at the projection of growth. It had been some time since she had actually stopped to look. It was pretty amazing that in such "short" time, all of this would be grown as it was.
Oh but where was she? Oh right. Stopping by her current (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mago_Berry) project, she lifted up the light blue pot to get a closer inspection on the fruits of her labor, then sat it right back down.
Aww yee, there were berries ready to be picked, and she was super duper excited for that. There was absolutely no doubt about it, especially when her tail was a-twitchin' like it was.
Re: Like... the 7th... mid-afternoon
He hadn't been there since they were planted, but he felt that day as if he should. When he saw Dialga he supposed that was why.

Re: Like... the 7th... mid-afternoon
Caim wasn't much of a dreamer. Dreams went down in flames when the rest of the world did, and the Empire had seen to that.
But it didn't require a dreamer to get a better understanding of the people in this new world he had come to
and infested with WCS. Instead, for him it was simply a learning experience, and if that meant following a steel dragon through the green house as she wandered, then by the Goddess, he was going to do precisely that. And hopefully he'd do it as quietly as possible.Re: Like... the 7th... mid-afternoon
But he paused when he saw a familiar face. Rather, a familiar back-of-her-head, but who cares. He hadn't spoken to Dana in a while. Instead of mulling over whether it would be rude to leave without saying anything, Marie attempted a silent exist.
Which just resulted in the boy tripping over a pot and toppling it over. Fortunately, he broke his own fall by grabbing onto another plant. He pushed that one over too. So smooth!

All the time
Of course, being a Venusaur, he felt a responsibility to care for every plant in the greenhouse, not just his own. So whenever the Grass Type thought he was alone, he would take the time to look over all the other crops and flowers, making conversation with each one. Sure, he looked like weirdo talking to plants that very obviously couldn't talk back, but they grew better with the attention. Really.
It helped Vinnie get some things off his chest as well, considering his current woes. Sometimes he would get so caught up talking that if the plant's actual owner were to come back, it was possible he'd hardly notice.
no subject
Bulba wasn't surprised to see the Venusaur talking to the plants (since hey he did it too), but it was a little odd to see him talking to his Anemones. Not that Vinnie probably knew they were his. It was clearly just an odd case of timing.
"Aw, now she's not going to want to listen to me."

oops im just gonna. leave this here.
It seemed to be quiet, minus the usual sounds of the 'house, so... the beast began to hum a song that wasn' really important (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccZuKOTb6ug) while taking in the environment around her. It was rather calming... maybe even too calming. As she wandered on through, she hadn't realized that she was actually singing (quietly, for that matter) but she really was. "... And all the gods and all the worlds began colliding on a backdrop of blue..."
Dana truthfully wasn't that bad at singing, either. Oh no, she really wasn't. "Blue lips... blue veins..."
Her ears pricked, thinking that she heard something. Was there someone there? Were they speaking? Hmm... She couldn't tell. "He took a step but then felt tired," That voice. She heard it again, and it was getting louder, "He said 'I'll rest a little whi... le."
Ahh, how silly... she found her way to seeing that dumb dinosaur that she fawned over. His back was turned and he seemed to be speaking to something. Realizing that it was him doing the speaking, it did put her at ease a bit. Her tail twitched impatiently, hoping that he had not... you know, actually heard her. She hesitated, wondering if she should speak up or not.
"... Having fun?" Oopsies, that slipped out.

Re: All the time
Why hadn't no one thought of that back in the homeland?
All the same, this Vinnie was a strange one, indeed. Talking to the plants, it seemed. Caim knew nothing of science, and didn't understand that the air released onto plants by speaking or exhaling was actually beneficial. All he saw was a slightly mentally challenged man confiding in green flora. On the other hand, for all of his instabilities, Caim couldn't exactly cast judgement.
But he could follow Vinnie around inconspicuously and hide amongst the more bushier plants while the Venusaur lost himself in his green paradise.

What time is it? BROTER TIIIIIME! (No seriously.. uhh.. Thursday. Noonish?)
He wanted to check up on whatever Vinnie was growing. The plants in their room took up a fair bit of space already but Sonny knew he had stuff here too. He didn't mind that they filled the room at all either - They were pretty to wake up to every day, and they were one of the things that made Vinnie happy. And he was never one to want to see his Venabro unhappy.
"Hi Vinnie!" he said, walking in and grinning at the pink-shirted figure hunched in quiet discussion with his current leafy confidante.
"I brought you a glass of water and an apple!"
....he'd originally had a banana and an orange for him too. Oops.

Currently, however, she was staring at those giant tulips in awe. Woah. How'd they get so big anyway? She started quickly hovering around them to view them in all angles. "They're so pretty!" she cried out loud.

Sept 7-10th, Any Time and Every Time
When there weren't things to do, she'd often sit with a cup of tea. Anyone was more than welcome to join her, providing the gym leader was awake enough to provide substantial company.
Any of the days at any time.
Mac already had taken Botany but he did like to come and help with the greenhouse. Someday at some point in the past, Mac probably promised this. That he'd still come around the greenhouse to be manual labor. Today was such a day.

Any of the days at any time. (Stolen from Liz.)
Dark hair, a bit of a smile, maybe she was even humming a little to herself. He couldn't tell, because he was never close enough. But she looked happy and he felt a little envious because he wasn't even sure he knew what happiness was. Sure, he thought he'd felt it once or twice, but it seemed such a fleeting ideal that it was impossible for him to truly pinpoint or define. And it was such a subjective little word, too.
As she moved around the flowers and the plants, pruning, and generally making the greenhouse lovelier each time she passed through, Caim
the Creepermoved as well. It was never safe to stay in one spot for too long and it was all too easy to allow himself to get caught. Even by someone who seemed as kind as her, he felt he had to hide.(no subject)

It had been concluded that the numbers were the most different each morning and stayed fairly consistent through out the day. How. Very. Curious.
So one night when insomnia was a plentiful friend, Erika took a special trip through the greenhouse, just to see what she could find.

ANYTIME
Of course, despite him sitting on his knees and playing his instrument all by his lonesome, he wouldn't horribly mind any interruptions at all. He also doesn't mind idle listeners.
Re: ANYTIME
It wasn't what Caim personally would have done and it even reminded him a little of Inuart (only on the basis of music being involved - Inuart's fashion sense was actually a lot better than Waka's). An eyebrow arched and Caim wondered idly if perhaps playing music was the only thing Waka might do. Not that there was anything wrong with it. Just that he couldn't quite see the logic in doing something like that where other people couldn't openly enjoy what he had to offer.
But then, music wasn't Caim's expertise and he didn't think Waka had much of anything to offer. All the same, Caim remained stationed in a bush and simply watched Waka play with his hours.

Anytime! If you want Chibi to make your plants bloom, let me know
Funny enough, once or twice he'll stop and sniff a plant that hasn't bloomed yet before running off, and in his wake, the plant will flower!
Don't mind him, he's helping.
Re: Anytime! If you want Chibi to make your plants bloom, let me know
For one could only get so far with "woof", and Caim did not speak wolf.
What was most entertaining was the idea that Chibi seemed to think he was helping, and... his thoughts were mostly correct. Caim knew how to plant flowers and vegetables. He hadn't done anything of the sort in his own trips to the greenhouse, but with the amount of time he was spending there, he'd gathered the idea that eventually he might just have to plant something in a corner himself.
That would come another day, however, for he was there to watch and observe the others who came and went as they pleased while he hid amongst the foliage and the fauna. And for the time being, Chibi was the one he wanted to watch.

6th, mid-morning.
What caught her attention, though, was the small cluster of candypop buds. And near them, Ai found two red, planted Pikmin. She thumbed the leaf of one of them, smiling to herself. She wondered if she should pluck it, but she decided against it. Perhaps they belonged to someone else. Instead, she opted to sit and simply admire the planted Pikmin.

Every day, morning.
It was only when she got nearer to the sandy, dry area where they were kept that she began to relax.
Re: Every day, morning.
He'd kept notes on the people he'd seen. And some of them he'd even recognised. All of this was to better help him figure out who was appropriate and who wasn't. At this rate, however, he was going to need to fill a good number of notepads with the notes that he'd made.
Or perhaps he could overcome his antisocial behaviour and actually get to know these people. (Nah.) That wasn't exactly his style and without a voice, trying to communicate seemed remotely pointless, especially when he didn't have Angelus to translate and interpret for him. No, using a notepad seemed to be his closest ally for the time being, with Riley coming in as a close second.
He spied through the leaves at Sasha, knowing very well he wanted to keep away from that plant. Sometimes it spouted out balls of fire and the very last thing he wanted to do was get a hole in Riley's shirt and have to explain where it came from. No. He'd reassured Riley that he would return his clothes once he had procured some new ones for himself.

Sept 9, noon
The lanky man had later sat next to a patch of colorful flowers and faced his Pokemon, "I never took you here back before we left the academy, did I? I'm sorry about that, I hope you're enjoying yourself," he said as he gently patted Bellsprout.
September 7th, late afternoon.
....three hours later he awoke gently, giving a small yawn. How long had he been out? The sun was a lot lower in the sky now. It must be late in the afternoon, or early evening. He hoped he hadn't missed any classes.
He probably had.
Well, no sense in getting up and rushing around now. He just sort of rubbed his eyes and sat there, doing his best to wake up.
Re: September 7th, late afternoon.
She paused when she saw Sonny. Mostly because she'd never seen him before. And then partially because she was sure if he was caught sitting on plants or flowers, Erika was going to give him one heck of a pounding.
"Uhm..." she began as she stared at him. "What exactly are you doing?"

Most of the days, late afternoon
He was keeping an eye out for his plants this time around, since some of the berries that he was going to harvest the next day ended up disappearing. So yeah, he's currently watering berries and making sure they're getting plenty of water and such.
