PUT AWAY YOUR SHAKE WEIGHT. GET A REAL WORKOUT. BE A REAL MAN. OR WOMAN. GO LIFTING WITH MAX.
Who: Max and YOU and your intense feelings of inadequacy.
What: WORKING OUT IN THE WEIGHT ROOM
Where: THE WEIGHT ROOM
When: EVERY TIME August 8th - 21st
Warnings: 150% TESTOSTERONE. Max may swear at some point.
After spending two weeks as a venusaur, and not being able to work out, Max returned to his normal self. He could still feel the shameful, shameful potbelly that he used to have as a venusaur. Two weeks of not working out is like two weeks of wasted life for Max. And now he doesn't have all of those darned classes to take getting in the way of getting in a real workout. As if somehow six hours of weightlifting a day hadn't been a real workout before.
So anyway. Max is pretty much living in the weight room when he isn't doing his cardio in the mornings, having a meal, or sleeping. Or teaching the occasional class. But he's happy to take out some time to show new students around the weight room, or to help the less muscular set up some sort of workout routine. Need a spotter for the bench press? Max is your man. He may be wearing a tank top that says this on it.
((START A THREAD, GIVE A TIME, PUT ON YOUR HEADBANDS AND GYM SHORTS, AND TURN UP THE CLASSIC ROCK-SLASH-PUNK. YOU'RE IN MAX'S WORLD NOW.))

Re: Woo!
He had a little difficulty curling it with one hand, so he's now holding it with two. Though he's attempting to use his feet to lift the other one as well, because the willpower in him demands it. And why not? His legs are in need of some muscles too, so it's obvious he's doing it right]

HHRRRNNNGGGHHH!
Re: Woo!
Where did they keep the adjustable dumbbells for regular people. Max had a set and Knuckles had a set but Max was certain that they had a set for the ladies on the football team, something that went from five pounds to twenty-five pounds in two-and-a-half pound increments. He looked around the dumbbell rack. Oh, there they were, down on the floor, off to the side.
He spun the dial on one to... 7.5 pounds... and gently lifted it out of the special holder. He held it out to the still grunting Azelf. "Here, try this."
Re: Woo!
And so he began to curl with his other arm, having little trouble lifting it all the way. It left Azelf grinning from ear to ear; if he keeps this up, he'll surely gain the amount of muscles that Max already has]
Re: Woo!
"Somethin' you should know right now is, when we're done with our weights we put 'em away. Since it's too heavy for you I'm gonna put that ten pound weight away for you, but you gotta put anything you can use away on your own."
Max bent over and picked up the little weight and placed it back on the rack. "And another rule is, you don't use any machines without bein' shown how to use 'em first."
"What I want you to do, and you're gonna tell me it's too easy for you, but you need to warm up to this sorta thing anyway is this. You do 20 reps, ten on each arm, with those weights adjusted on five pounds, then you do 20 more reps on 7.5, and then you do 20 more on five pounds. I'm gonna go back to doin' my exercise, and when you finish that, you come find me again, and I'll show you how to use those to work your chest, too."
