Who: Sheik and YOU.
What: Nocturnal fun times.
When: April 14th-April 21st, night.
Where: EVERYWHERE.
Warnings: Sneakin' around.
Zelda just seemed to have the worst luck with boys. Link was here, but he wasn't her Link. Marth departed, and now Meta Knight was gone too. She'd never been one to take this kind of stress and heartache very well (it was confusing and she did not like it), so the easiest thing to do in times like this was to be someone who was not Princess Zelda.
Of course, she had her front to keep during the day, and she carried on as always, eagerly awaiting the nights when she could magic on her (extremely convincing mysterious ninja boy) disguise and cavort about on rooftops.
So that was exactly what she would do.

Thursday, 21st, 1am
But tonight, there was something on his agenda, and it involved a faint trail of blood dripping from the forest, up the side of the main building and onto the roof. It was a trail marked by very faint droplets, something that would likely be washed away by the next rain but to the keen eye, it was glistening in the moonlight and still warm.

She followed the train of blood from the edge of the woods, to the main building, where it changed direction and crawled up to the roof. Determined to get to the bottom of it, Sheik began to scale the wall.
TROUBLEMAKERS BEWARE.

You find on the roof, a cat on his period. On the edge of the roof was a three-clawed mark, made as the creature or person hauled themselves on top of the roof. There was also a smear of blood, as if the bleeding thing rubbed up against the edge. The blood trail continued across the roof and lead behind one of the metal air conditioning ducts. There, was a shadowy, four-legged creature with what appeared to be three red eyes. There was something trapped in it's jaw, and it was clearly the bleeding thing.

ew, grossShe continued to tread with caution, following the glistening spots of blood up to the roof and tracing them to the air conditioning protrusion.
It was some kind of wild animal on the hunt, that was for sure, and she peered around the metal duct, readying her needles just in case.

"...pi!" Another strained, hoarse, squeaky cry for help, and the identity of the victim became a little clearer as the beast lifted its head, sensing a sneaky visitor. It held by the throat in its jaws, a Pikachu. Still alive, but not in good condition.
There was a twinkle of mischievousness in those red eyes as it looked at Shiek peering around the edge, then crunched on the Pikachu's throat a little tighter. The rodent weakly squirmed and struggled to breathe.
PUNCH A CAT
From the noises, it was still alive, but not for much longer. If she saved it, would she even be able to make it to the Pokecenter in time?
GOSH DARN IT, she was going to punch this thing. In one swift motion, she sprang from her hiding spot, a fist rushing for this mysterious three-eyed monster.
Nyaaan
Now, the chase was on and he seemed to know where he was going. He ran along the side of the main building and dragged the poor Pikachu in his mouth along the wall as he ran, leaving a clear red, waving trail for Sheik to follow. He held his tail high in the air with mischievous delight, as if to say follow me if you dare.
Re: Nyaaan
She sprinted after it.
Re: Nyaaan
What is normally a bright, sunny, open courtyard is now covered in the strange, slow-dancing shadows of clouds passing over the moonlight. It was eerily quiet, but rustling movements could be heard if one listened closely, as if the creature was excitedly prowling around in a large circle. Prowling and plotting.
Then it stopped, and became very quiet before there was movement on the fountain's edge.
"chu..." The Pikachu was there slumped over, alone, and with no sign of it's predator.

She knew it was a trap. There was no way a hunter would just leave its prey, especially when there was something else after it. Still, given the chance to scoop up the wounded Pikachu and take it to the nearest Pokecenter, Sheik was going to go against her better judgment and do it.
Closing the distance to the fountain, she scooped the Pokemon into her arms, prepared to sprint as fast as she could towards help.

Impending doom was not terrible far away, the occasional rustle or intentional intimidating sound of something stalking the mysterious hero.

All she had to do was get into the city, where the pursuer would lose the cover of foliage.

In such an area, he made no effort to hide himself, and broke out into a run to keep pace, paws thumping across the ground and making his presence quite known. The third red eye, the middle one, (if that was an eye) was glowing and whatever warning the Pikachu had been trying to give finally came to fruition.
Out in the open, the mysterious hero was a prime target for a thunderbolt--or more specifically, the slightly wet rodent Shiek was holding was the target.
HURP i suck
Sheik screamed as the electricity surged through her and she fell to the ground, blue static crackling and the grass around her smoking. The Pikachu tumbled from her arms.
Re: HURP i suck
Sinking his teeth and claws into it's neck, he tore the head off from the body. That simply wasn't enough however, and Warren just needed to play with his food. He rolled its head with so it would be greeting Sheik in the face with it's pained expression when she came to, then picked up the remains of the Pikachu's body in his jaw and shook it like a ragdoll, splattering as much blood as possible everywhere. Especially all over Sheik. When he was done, he spiked what was left of the rodent on Shiek's back, like a football to a touch-down.
Get up, Mr. Hero. I've giving you your favorite present--disappointment.
This death was no circle of life, no hungry animal simply hunting for food, but a deliberate and psychopathic murder... and Warren was enjoying every second of it.

It was some sort of monster. A predator would not have mangled the body and left it here, a predator would have taken it away to eat. Somehow, she felt better knowing she'd been attempting to stop such a creature instead of impeding the food chain, but it didn't change the fact that she had failed.
She gathered what was left of the Pikachu and slowly made her way back to the forest. At the very least, she could bury it.
