(no subject)

Who: Ryedan and Burakki
What: It is shopping time and time for shopping.
Where: FDC Mall
When: Wednesday, April 13
Warnings: ghost butts

Their destination? A place called Delfino mall, nestled comfortably in downtown FDC.

The obstacle?

...getting there. It had slowly become apparent that Blacky's death was vehicular in nature, and so Raiden would try to the best of his abilities to oblige her request to stay away from roads. This of course made it a little difficult to get to the mall when he had nothing more than his feet and the campus golf cart as forms of transportation.

Perhaps they would be able to figure something out though. Raiden already had an idea but he would have to see what she thought of it first after picking her up from her dorm.

"Soooo." He stalled, Gamera by his side, while staring at the golf cart in the parking lot and then at Blacky. "How are we going to do this?"

To say that Blacky was a little apprehensive about doing as much as step onto the asphalt of the parking lot was a gross understatement. She'd traveled around the city recently, sure, but always by floating high above the roads where nothing could possibly hurt her. Raiden and Gamera were not ghosts, and she was very determined not to see that change any time soon.

But accidents like that didn't happen all the time, right? She'd never seen any others first-hand since her death. Even Lash's crazy lessons which encouraged reckless driving left everyone in one piece.

Still... She couldn't shake those horrible memories she had when she stood in the mall parking lot with Goose. Those nightmares that plagued her most mornings. This was not going to be easy.

She clenched her fists at her sides and stared at the golf cart. "W-we... Shall drive. Just like the tank. I'll just keep my eyes closed."

She was already dead. WHAT WAS THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN.

WELL FINE I CAN TEXTO TOO

Blacky probably made a ridiculous display of hopping over the parking lot as though it burned her feet, diving into the golf cart, and wrapping her arms around Gamera like she had a life that depended on it. There was probably even an undignified sound coming from her mouth when uh oh the truck have started to move. But focusing on Raiden's voice was a little soothing, at least.

"...I didn't know you could drive through the forest." She was a little skeptical, but as long as roads themselves were going to be avoided she could handle it. It wasn't like the golf cart could hurt her if she was inside it anyway.

She opened her eyes and peered at the dashboard. There weren't nearly as many levers and buttons as there were in the tank. More like none. She was a little disappointed.

"Such a detour is probably a lot of trouble, isn't it?"

OKAY THIS ONE HAS TWO TO MAKE UP FOR IT

The only unhappy accidents were in her underpants.

The bumpiness didn't come as much of a surprise to her, given what a rough ride she had in the tank. That didn't make it any less annoying. Her hair was bouncing everywhere what a pain in the butt. But it could be worse.

Image

She brushed a bit of hair away from her face, looking a little sheepish. "It isn't so bad now that we're moving. I, ah... I feel a little silly now." Being the biggest wuss of a ghost ever was not something to be proud of. But instead of complete and utter humiliation she only felt a little bit embarrassed, just enough to laugh at herself and maybe invite Raiden to laugh with her. Just to hear it.

Oh oops was all the bumping ACCIDENTALLY going to make her bump against him?

Image
BUNP.

She totally would not do such a thing on purpose. Ever. Nope.

MEANWHILE...

Closer? To both the mall and the traffic around it, of course. She could handle it. She was definitely feeling brave and confident with Raiden at the wheel. Yeah. Just. Think about something else for now.

"Did I ever drive when I was alive?"

That doesn't even qualify as a different topic, Blacky.

Oh. Learning to drive. Blacky wasn't sure if she'd be so interested in it anymore. Haha. Ha. Oh ow her head just got bumped against the ceiling so much for not getting hurt inside the car.

"That was awfully generous of me. Is this it?"

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe? Oh, right, he didn't remember anything either. For now Blacky would assume it was in fact the gifted car. DID THOSE HORRIBLE FUZZY DICE COME FROM HER TOO WHAT WAS SHE THINKING

She tried to imagine what kind of emergency she could possibly be in that she would need to drive instead of just ghosting away. It wasn't like anything could kill her, presumably... Maybe such a skill wouldn't be for her. Vaporeon went to the school to become strong enough to help her trainer in an emergency. She wasn't Vaporeon anymore - never truly was - but she still understood that reasoning.

"I'd... like to try learning, then. If you'd still like to teach me. N-not immediately, of course, but once I'm a little more used to the whole idea."

After many failed attempts to draw this tag, I give you. TEXT.

So close, even Blacky recognized the area! There was no way anything could possibly go wrong now. Not even that little green dot in the road could--

wait--

Oh no it was alive. They were going to hit something and kill it because they were in a car and cars were just terrible instruments of death and AAAGH.

"Look out, look out!" She grabbed the steering wheel and pulled and then they swerved right into a tree and exploded.

I need to start replying IN THE RIGHT SPOT

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-04-23 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Blacky did not hit the dashboard, as she had an airbag in the form of one turtle. A turtle with a very hard shell. They did not make for very good protection for anybody but the occupant, and Blacky's chin banged against it, resulting in a split lip. She prodded at the cut with her tongue, looking a little dazed. Gross.

"Some... Somebody was on the road..." The frog! She glanced out the back of the cart to make sure it was safe. She... couldn't really see it from here. Hopefully it made it. Oh god, oh man, oh god.

"T-there was something small. Sorry. Is the car broken?"

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-04-26 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
She could bleed all right. As it was, her human body still had blood. It just barely had any circulation, so it was a viscous, unhealthy-looking goop.

Apparently she could also blush a bit. M-MOE...

Image

The least he could do was give a little warning if he was going to touch her like that! She didn't necessarily not like it, just... Well. She didn't really know how to put what she felt into words. And she wasn't going to.

"Ah... Let's... See if the car will still run."

DISAPPOINT.

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-04-30 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Wait. You mean we'll walk across it?"

Hahaha that was. The worst idea. Blacky shook her head. "No, no, we should either drive across it or... I will simply float while you walk."

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
"--!!"

And lo, the jumpiest ghost ever cried out in surprise, throwing her arms around Raiden's neck lest he try dropping her onto her head or something. But he didn't, and Blacky understood what it was he really was doing.

Carrying her wasn't going to do much to keep her off the road, but she couldn't really find it in herself to say no.

...She should probably say something though.Instead of just staring in bewilderment.

"Oh, ah... A-alright."

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-05-24 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
She closed her eyes, turning her head a bit so one ear was firmly against Raiden's chest. For a few seconds the rhythmic thrumming of his heart and the steady rise and fall of his chest with every breath was comforting, but a few seconds was all it took for her to realize he was just teasing her. Flaunting his precious vital signs before a dead woman. She couldn't even remember what it must have felt like to constantly have her organs working and blood pumping. Would she ever? Did it matter?

Suddenly she was too focused on her irrational jealousy to care about the traffic. She scowled to herself, her speech muffled against Raiden's shirt: "Is it over yet?"

[identity profile] miss-dreavus.livejournal.com 2011-05-25 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Too bad, because the effects were going to be with her for a while. She stepped away from him and adjusted her sleeves.

"Good. We needn't repeat this on the way back. I'll manage." She glanced over to the wide expanse of parking lot between her and the mall and immediately doubted her own words. All those cars. But they weren't moving, so that was something.

She stubbornly set her foot on the asphalt. Yep. Not so bad. It didn't matter since she was dead anyway.
