Even A Diva Needs to Eat

Who: [livejournal.com profile] siren_of_wisdom and [livejournal.com profile] sumabura_gakuen
What: The new girl gets some food
Where: Common room
When: Shortly after her intro post

In the common room, Nayru was curled up in a chair, eating a cucumber sandwich. It seemed like the safest choice, among so much unfamiliar food. She looked around the common room as she nibbled at her food, lost in thought. She had locked the Harp in her desk, the small key cool against her collarbone under her dress.

This was new, and not entirely unpleasant, but disconcerting nonetheless. What was she to learn at this school? What was the point? None of it made any sense.

Peach took this time of the day to get out of the dorm for a while. She had gotten another book and had planned to sit elsewhere this time. And what's this? Not a familiar face. She looked friendly at first glance, maybe they could have small chat.

"Hello there," Peach asked politely to Nayru. She regarded to the seat next to her. "Is this seat taken?"

A petite creature with stubs on all sides waddled into the room, arriving himself with a small bento box full of his favorite onigiri. He made sure to have a steady supply of his favorite food. He couldn't possibly imagine a world without delicious, savory onigiri. It was so heavenly!

Waddle Dee was fast to notice Nayru, mainly because he'd expect that she'd be there. He hadn't, however, expected the pretty princess in pink. Who was this woman? He wasn't sure, but maybe she was nice, too.

"Um... hi." He waved with his free hand, being careful not to drop the box in his other.

"Yeah, that's me." Waddle Dee nodded with confirmation. He walked over to the floor next to where Nayru was sitting and plopped down right there. It would be more of a hassle to climb up a chair anyway, so he didn't mind resting right on the floor. "Sorry that I'm... small. I'd be human now, but I kind of can't talk like that. Sort of."

Or maybe he could and just didn't know how yet? It was a mystery to all.

Peach sat down when Nayru allowed it. Oh look, it was Dee. Dee had met Peach the moment he arrived but they haven't talked all that much, maybe he'd even forgotten about her.

"Thank you," Peach remarked. "And hello to you, Dee." Pause. Aw, he learned how to be human too. "In any case, congratulations on learning humanization."

She turned to Nayru, "Oh we haven't met yet have we? I'm Peach. I haven't seen you around, are you new?"

((fhdksjhfh i completely forgot that dee knew peach SORRY |D;;; I lose track of my CR so easily sometimes sob.))

Oh, right, Peach. Right. That was who she was. Geez, he forgot so easily, didn't he? Waddle Dee blushed at the congrats and the pat on his head. "Uh... thanks. Both of you."

He held up his bento box to the both of them and opened it. Onigiri, freshly made, sat inside. "Anyone want some? It's really good."

Zelda could scarcely believe what was happening.

After meeting with Link and confirming the existence of multiple, parallel Hyrules, she should have expected something like this, but meeting someone who bore the name Nayru was something of a shock. The woman had confirmed that she was not Zelda's patron goddess, but nevertheless had something important to tell her.

This was worrisome, to say the least. What if Nayru's home was in danger? Zelda made her way to the common room as quickly as possible and entered with a small curtsy. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting."

[identity profile] rulebywisdom.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
She ventured to take a seat opposite the woman? Goddess? Zelda was not sure of who exactly she was, and therefore felt it best to approach the situation with caution. She wasn't quite scared of the new arrival, but no matter who this woman really was, the princess knew she should be treated with respect.

"You said there was something I should know?"

[identity profile] rulebywisdom.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Zelda furrowed her brow in confusion. So this wasn't a goddess? This was an oracle? But of what, exactly? She didn't quite grasp what Nayru was trying to tell her.

"I'm sorry. I don't exactly understand."

[identity profile] rulebywisdom.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
"What exactly does that mean? To be the Oracle of Ages?"

[identity profile] rulebywisdom.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It seemed almost comical that they were discussing oracles and the salvation of said oracles over a cucumber sandwich. She was reminded very much of her recent conversation with Link, and how much it pained her to know that alternate versions of Hyrule were in such danger.

"I have to apologize, but...I am not the Zelda that sent Link to guard you."

She really owed Link more than she could ever repay. Though Naryu's Link was more than likely a different one from the Link that resided at this school, the one common thread was that they seemed to be selfless and courageous saviors when the need arose.

"We are...very lucky to have him." She said finally.

Ninten was never the type of person who'd keep track of the online journal network. Or journals at all. He never liked to sit and read. So he didn't really know that Nayru had just arrived to Smash Academy; but he did notice that he didn't know her when he saw her quietly eating lunch in the common rooms on his way out to get his own lunch.

"Hey." Ninten said with a hand raised for a wave as he walked up to the couch. "Are you a new student here?"

[identity profile] punchedaliens.livejournal.com 2011-02-17 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm Ninten, nice to meet you!" He replied with a grin. "Have you gotten used to the school yet?"

He for sure was still not completely used to it. He couldn't believe a month already passed and there were still so many things he didn't know about. He thought he saw the world when he went on his adventure when he was 12, but this place had more things in hand than he expected.

[identity profile] punchedaliens.livejournal.com 2011-02-17 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
"It's...Okay, I guess." Ninten replied, a little unsure, as he scratched his head. "I never liked school in general, but this place has more things to do than the other school I used to go to, so it's not too bad. I still can't sit down and open a book, though."

The black-haired boy trailed off with a slightly embarrassed laugh.
