Parakarry watched on as a small flock of pigeons whizzed on by in the sky. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

Then he heard what sounded like the faraway cry of an animal. No sooner had his ears picked up the sound, he noticed something off.

The birds. Several feet away the flock hung in midair motionless. Well, not quite motionless. They were indeed moving but at an incredibly sluggish pace.

Something was obviously very wrong here. After a moment of hesitation, Parakarry spread his wings out and began to fly.
