Falcon wasn't the only one who had lost out on sleep due to the previous night's excitement (was that really how American Football was supposed to go?!). However, he was the only one feeling peppy and rearing to go at such an insane hour in the morning.
It seemed like Jeff had just gotten to sleep when he found himself dreaming about an incessant knocking... wait, that wasn't just a dream, was it? When he blearily opened his eyes, he could still hear it. He fumbled around the nightstand for his glasses, slipped them on, and squinted at the digital clock.
Just about 4 AM. Who the hell...
...Oh, wait! This was the weekend Falcon told him to pack for! He was certain he heard the man's voice on the other side of the door too, but couldn't really make out what he was saying. Right, that meant they were leaving for ... wherever they were going! Jeff wasn't sure yet. It was probably someplace AWESOME though.
He hopped out of bed, still wearing his uniform since it's canon he sleeps in them. Good thing he'd actually packed instead of waiting until the last minute. He grabbed the duffel bag and stumbled to the door and threw it open, looking for all the world like a kid who hadn't been able to sleep before Christmas morning: tired, but too excited to be cranky about it.
