Shopping for Clothes! Roommate Bonding Time!

Who: Cream, Nephenee
What: Shopping in FDC for Clothes! Possibly some exploration as well.
When: Backdated to December 22nd
Where: BW-16, and then FDC.
Warnings: Polite outgoing bunny. Polite shy countrygirl. THERE WILL BE DIABEETUS. Proceed with due caution.

They had a plan. At 3PM today, Nephenee and Cream would go to FDC, shop for clothes, and then maybe do a bit of exploring around the giant city. The young rabbit was very excited to be able to hang out with a new friend, and getting to know her over the past few days made Cream feel like they'd easily be the best of friends.

Nephenee was currently out of the room, so Cream was getting herself ready to go by getting together some things she'd need to take with her into the city. She also dressed warmly, and had a few things ready for her roomie since she didn't have many warm clothes yet. She eagerly awaited the return of her roommate so they could begin their trip.

Indeed, Nephenee had been trying to be more outgoing since she got here, and so far so good. She'd made several new acquaintances, and she wanted to get them presents for this strange holiday celebrated here. And Cream was quickly becoming one of her favorite people here. She may not have been southern like Goose, but she was a kind girl, and also a bunny; critters were great. <3

Nephenee had had to go get some of her things from a classroom, and was just now getting back to the dorm. Opening it, she smiled when she saw Cream. "Heya Cream, gettin' ready?"

"Yeah!" Cream was happy to see Nephenee back. She then stood up, and handed her a blue scarf. "Here you go, try this on before we go! I may not have much that can fit while we go shopping, but it should keep your neck warm!"

Cheese spun around Cream, obviously prepared for going out in the cold. He himself had on a small sweatervest that Cream somehow found for him.

"Oh! Thank ya!" Nephenee wrapped the scarf around her neck, smiling, "oh, it's so warm! Even one of my favorite colors!" It looked a little odd with the uniform, but that's all she had to wear besides armor, and it was too cold for that unless she absolutely had to. "Aw, Cheese, aren't you the cutest thing!"

Cheese responded with a cheerful "Chao~!"

"You're welcome, Miss Nephenee! Are you ready to go?" Because Cream sure was. Excitable rabbit girl wanted to go shopping, oh it would be so much fun!

"Yep!" She shouldered a small bag she'd brought from Tellius, one that could use replacing at this point for general use, "Ready when you are!" Out of habit, she grabbed her spear too. Never know if you might need it...

The rabbit saw her pick up the spear, and asked, "Do you think there'll be any trouble going through the school?" She didn't know if or when the constant fighting across the school would stop.

"I hope not, but I'd rather be prepared, Cream. Just in case." She slung her shield onto her back, "Well, let's get along, shall we?"

"I hope not either. Let's go!" Cream began to walk to the door, and Cheese, ever so eager to do something, actually started attempting to open the door. Cream walked right up and helped him open it. Seems Cheese didn't have a good enough grip on the knob. Cheese plopped right onto Cream's head.

Nephenee smiled, opening the door for the critter, "There ya go, Cheese. So Cream," she said as they began walking through the halls, "Ya said this lil guy came from your home, right? What types of chao are there?'

"There's all kinds!" Mind, Cream didn't know about all of them, but she'd heard about them at the least. "Depending on who takes care of them, I've heard that they can become Hero Chao with wings! And there's all different colors of Chao too! Red, Orange, Blue, Black, Purple..." Cheese rose his arm into the air with a 'Chao~!'

"Even Cheese has a brother named Chocola, and he's a brown-chocolaty-colored Chao!" 'Chocola Chao!'

"...Oh wow, sounds kind of like those Pokemon things..." The candy name struck her as odd though, "Ch-chocolate? What's that?"

"That's what I've been told. I want to learn more about them!" Cream kept walking, but was a little confused when Neph asked her what chocolate was. "You've never tried chocolate before?" Of course, this rabbit wasn't aware that chocolate wasn't accessible to everyone.

"Well, we can ask Brock and Goose's fiance, they know a lot about them!' and she shook her head when Cream asked the question, "Nah, never tried it. Never heard of it neither. What is it?"

"Chocolate is my favorite kind of candy. People make them into all sorts of different treats, and you can even buy them all! I'll get you some in the city so you can try it, okay Miss Nephenee?"

"...huh. Most of the candy we have is little dried fruits and pecans and yams. But that sounds nice, ya. Oh, and you don't have ta call me Miss, Cream."

"Pecans and yams are candy where you come from?" Cream hadn't really thought of yams as candy, but they were pretty tasty. "Oh, I'm sorry! I'm just used to calling everyone Mister or Miss. It's what my mom taught me to say."

"Well, ya mix 'em with sugar and cook 'em right, they get sweet. I like yams better, though." She chuckled, "And that's a good habit to get in, my ma taught me the same. But I'm okay with just Nephenee."

"Really? I wanna try something like that someday!" Cream thought for a second before continuing. "Okay, M-- Nephenee!" Oh boy, this was surely going to be a hard habit to break.

"Maybe I can make some for Christmas...assuming I can find the stuff here." She didn't know FDC had practically everything. She chuckled at Cream, "'Salright...If I'm able to make dinner for us, what sorta things do you like?"

"I could try to help!" Cream did always enjoy helping her mom with her cooking. Granted, she wasn't that good with said cooking, but she was learning... slowly...

What did she like to eat... there was a lot of things, to be honest. She had to think about that for a minute. What did her mom make last year, again?

"That'd be right nice of ya!" She said as they exited the campus, and she looked around, "Um...which way are the shops, anyhow?"

And then Cream told Neph what she liked to eat later.

Luckily, Cream had planned for them not knowing where to go, and picked up a map in the school for Final Destination City. She pulled it out and opened it. "I thought we might need this, so I brought it with us! We should be able to find the shops if we find where we are... this should be the school, right?" She pointed at a large building that resembled the school's outer layout.

Nephenee peered at the map. She could figure it out a bit, aside from the words, but beyond that, the cmplexity of this one evaded her. "Um, I think so. So we're at the front of the school..." she pointed with Cream at the building on the map, "so what do the shops look like? I don't see the map icons on the display"
