Meeting Red? The Spider Lands Between Them!

Who: Spinny, Sasha, Vinnie and Red
What: Check out that phat boss dude yo
Where: ON THE ROOF, IN THE SNOW, HERE THERE, EVERYWHERE WE GO.
When: Sunday, Dec. 5th
Warnings: PG maybe if Vinnie decides to swear or two.

Well, she had promised Spinny to show her Red one day, right? Sasha was actually rather unsure at how to do it. She found first impressions were always the best ones, and she really wanted Red and Spinny to get along. Snow had begun to fall gently, and the smoke rising from her nostrils and flaming tail whenever a tiny speck of water touched it flew away in wisps of white as they flew over the campus. Despite the cold weather, Sasha was feeling rather warm, the new neckscarf (XXXL, made for Charizards) and the sweater probably didn't make her look completely dignified, but hey, it made the entire experience more fun. And warm.

Now where was Spinny...

Spinarak was really not liking this winter season. It was way too cold to be walking around as a spider unless she wanted to go for a suicide walk. Unless she was inside, she was pretty much stuck as a human regardless of what time of the day it was, and it made her very, very tired. She tried to experience this sleeping business, but that failed as well. She just wanted to stay in one place until spring came.

But Sasha had promised she would introduce Red, her trainer, to Spinny. She wasn't going to pass the opportunity to make more friends! So she had pulled all the warm clothes that were available to her on and waddled out to the freezing death world.

From Sasha's point of view, she probably saw a ball of yellow and blue waddling across the ground.

Less than gracefully, Sasha landed next to Spinarak and slid for a few feet before managing to get her claws to grasp the cold earth properly. MAN THAT WAS COLD EARTH.

The Charizard's eyes lit up at the sight of her friend nonetheless, and she gave a small wave before turning around, showing her her...well, her back.

Behold, the Charizard's back.

DSFSDFS Oh hi Sasha. Spinny probably jumped when the Charizard landed right next to her And then she blinked at Sasha's back. Was she saying she should get on?

Spinny just gazed back. "...Uh."

Yes Spinny. This back was made. For you.

Actually Sasha turned around again, and pointed to her back again, making her wings flap. Maybe that would be easier to understand.

Oh man. Spinny wasn't really sure if she wanted to fly through the air again... And this time, she didn't want to change back into her spider form to land safely either...

"I don...t... think...it's goood...id.ea..."

She would turn human, but that would mean the scarf and outfit would need to be discarded. So instead she just looked at her with the biggest puppy eyes she could muster.

Oh no. Those eyes. S-sob. Spinny gave one slow nod and moved over to climb onto the Charizard's back.

She was going to regret this.

And off they went, a run and into the air!

Sasha hovered from the girl dorms to the boy's dorm, where hopefully Vinnie was waiting. And then Red could show up. She looked down, hoping he would be there (and not too grumpy).

Why they couldn't have just met inside was beyond Vinnie's comprehension. He was sitting near the edge of the roof, bundled up with an extra hoodie under his winter uniform. (Thankfully it fit, due to his penchant for buying overly baggy clothes as an Ivysaur.)

He was slumped forward, head rested in the palm of his hand as though he was ready to doze off.

AND THEN!

There was a dramatic landing (as much as Sasha could make it) as she carefully calculated wind movements, and the Charizard slid across the roof but THANKFULLY didn't fall off this time. Oh man oh man, she looked so PROUD right now. In your face, abyss to the ground, she was so delighting she started to moonwalk backwards right up to where Vinne was standing, bobbing her head to imaginary music and moving her hands doing the wave. Her grinning was gigantic and she gave off a deep-sounded laugh as most Charizards did, patting the shoulder of her teammate and then lowered her body so that Spinny would have an easier time to get off of her.

THAT HAD BEEN. AWESOME. Not perfect but AWESOME.

It may have been cool for Sasha, but it was way too scary for Spinny to handle. She practically rolled off the Charizard's back and waddled as far as she could away from the edges to keep herself from falling or anything. S-sob. Sorry Sasha, Spinny wasn't sure she could handle another flight anymore.

Vinnie was at least glad to see two things: 1) Spinner was still alive and didn't need to take a crash landing on his face this time, and 2) she seemed to dislike the cold as much as he did, from the looks of her layers.

He stood up, brushing a thin layer of snow off him as he did so. "That was pretty brave, signing on for another flight, Spinner. You two could've just taken the stairs."

(Seeing as the first thing out of his mouth wasn't more bitching about the weather, he must've been feeling less cranky with his new sun lamp.)

She threw away the scarf and the coat, shifting to her human form, and taking the pieces of clothing that had been left for her. Cold winter outfits, but they would become less colder from her own body heat.

She was still grinning and somehow managed to moonwalk and she got dressed.

"Aww yeah! Alright! I did it! No falling this time, I'm getting good at this, aww yeah, alright!"

Once she was completely clothed, she raised her fist into the sky and caught a piece of snow on her tongue before screaming joyfully to the world.

"WOOOOOOOOO! ...hey is Red here yet?"

She was never used to having someone give her the puppy eyes, okay. She was going to be more prepared for them next time.

She would have tried to say all this but oh god did it suddenly get even more colder? She just stood there trembling from the cold a little.

Vinnie shrugged, glancing at the door to the roof. "Not yet. I told him to meet us here after classes were done. Maybe his class ran long today.

"Now, I'm freezing my ass off. Gimme yours." (Clearly they were much too used to each other for innuendo like that to be uttered so flatly.) A vine tendril snaked out from under his sleeves and wrapped itself around the Charizard's happy tail, tugging it closer to everyone for precious, precious warmth. Fire, you were a bitch of an element.

"Hey hey hey, you can just ask!" Man, nothing like a victory parade being ruined, and she felt the the tendrils closing around her and dragging her backwards. "We could wait inside until he comes.."

"I...th-th....ink...s-s..." Spinny tried to answer but oh god her mouth couldn't move at all. She just buried her face into her scarf to keep warm.

She probably would be a lot warmer if she was more prepared for the winter...

The spider-girl was looking a little blue in the face there. Vinnie, still busy defrosting his poor, glove-less fingers over Sasha's flame, raised a brow. (Yes vines keep that tail in place oh glorious glorious warmth.)

"Hey. You okay...?"

Oh Arceus! Here she was doing victory dances and Spinny was freezing! There was only one thing to do.

...she took her clothes off again, and turned into her Charizard form. Grabbing the girl, she put her wings around her protectively, so that she could be a bit warmer.

And Vinnie to got to stare at her butt and keep his hands warm. Yay!

sfsdf Sudden movements AAAHH And then she found herself with WARMTH.

She still needed to wait a little before she could properly speak, though.

Where was your coat.

The roof was a weird meeting place, wasn't it? You know... For winter. "Sorry I'm late, guys. I got out of class late and..." He trailed off and stared at the clothes on the ground.

"Did I miss a group hug or something?"

Sasha grinned and just scooted over so she could add Red to the group hug as well.

OH NO NEW PERSON. NEW PERSON SHE COULDN'T RECOGNIZE AND WAS RIGHT NEXT TO HER IN THE GROUP HUG.

Spinarak squirmed around in the group hug, trying to get away at least to gain some distance. She needed to see who it was so she could determine whether she needed to run away or not...

Vinnie was still preoccupied with keeping warm on Sasha's tail, but Red's arrival was enough to divert his attention for a moment. He smiled big and wide, beaming with pride as he introduced the manliest badass ever.

"Hey! Hey Spinner, this is Red!" His gaze turned back towards his trainer. "And she's the Spinarak we told'ja about, Boss."

What hugs aww yes

"You're Spinarak, huh...?" He wriggled around and held his arm out to her, "Hi."

Red...Sasha and Vinnie's trainer! If these two were such nice people, Red must be too...right? At least that's what she hoped...

Spinny reached over to take his hand for a shake. "...Hello."
