Who: Hawke, Anshu, spectators!
What: AN SPAR.
When: Sunday, November 14th!
Where: Da stadium.
Warnings: Punching.
Hawke was not entirely sure why he signed up for the sparring sessions. He was a commander, not necessarily a fighter, and hadn't flexed that particular figurative muscle in quite some time. Though, when he thought about it, perhaps that's why he signed up. Stretch his legs a bit. Even if he didn't do much hand-to-hand nowadays, he'd still been trained as a soldier, and soldiers fought.
He was rusty, sure, and he had no idea what his opponent was capable of, but that would just make the fight more interesting. That, and he'd never actually sparred in the stadium, so Hawke had busied himself scrolling through all the settings and getting a feel for how the place worked.
There certainly were a lot of buttons...

The retaliation, however, he did not expect. Eye contact with the rock-thing resulted in the most splitting headache Hawke had ever experienced. He stumbled backwards and squeezed his eyes shut, trying to struggle through the feeling of the psychic attack invading his mind. Fighting blindly against the unexpected offense, he swung a punch.
