(no subject)

Who: Hawke, Anshu, spectators!
What: AN SPAR.
When: Sunday, November 14th!
Where: Da stadium.
Warnings: Punching.

Hawke was not entirely sure why he signed up for the sparring sessions. He was a commander, not necessarily a fighter, and hadn't flexed that particular figurative muscle in quite some time. Though, when he thought about it, perhaps that's why he signed up. Stretch his legs a bit. Even if he didn't do much hand-to-hand nowadays, he'd still been trained as a soldier, and soldiers fought.

He was rusty, sure, and he had no idea what his opponent was capable of, but that would just make the fight more interesting. That, and he'd never actually sparred in the stadium, so Hawke had busied himself scrolling through all the settings and getting a feel for how the place worked.

There certainly were a lot of buttons...

The meteorite Pokémon hadn't been in many fights before. While Anshu didn't panic, it also didn't know the best course of action to take in the situation at hand.

Perhaps a little belatedly, it levitated higher, giving Hawke the opportunity to hit it, but not as on-target as before. However, his shoulder made impact with the Pokémon, causing it to spin backward. Somehow, Hawke managed to hurt a rock.

Instead of floating up, however, Anshu responded with a bout of Confusion: its eyes lit up, and it stared straight at its opponent.
