Who: Link and Pit
What: Archery!
When: November 6th, sometime in the morning
Where: The archery range
Warnings: Pfff it's just Link and Pit
Link had just finished setting up the archery targets for medium-distance archery, and was now waiting for Pit to arrive. He couldn't wait to see Pit's light arrows in action! Of course, Link had brought his own bow and arrows, so that they could just do some regular archery afterwords.

With a quicker pace and his favorite bow in his hands, he came trotting up to greet his fellow archer-in-arms! "Good morning, Link!" he called, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. "You beat me here! Looks like I should have gotten up earlier, ha ha." He stopped his tracks a few feet away from him.

"I just got here a few minutes ago, actually." Or not. He wasn't really one to keep track of time, but it felt like it was only five minutes or so before Pit arrived.
Link glanced at the targets he had set up to make sure nothing was amiss. They all seemed fine! "Well, ready to get started?"
I'm so sorry about the lateness... ;__;
"Would you like to go first, or should I?" he asked, pointing at one of the targets ahead. "I can show you what this wonder can do, but sometimes the targets break..."
What hahaha it didn't seem late to me :D
"You can go first!" Oh man he was practically jumping with excitement!
It was almost a month Q_Q
"Ahh, see, that's what I was talking about!" he mentioned, noting the cracked wood. "And this is why I use regular arrows. They don't break targets so easily..."
R-really? Well uhh if we pretend we don't notice how much time passed, it won't matter...? \o/
How about I just tag better.

Link straightened back up and held up his bow. "Do you feel up for a challenge?" He really wanted to see how good Pit's archery was in competition!

Moving over and spreading more distance between them, Pit propped his bow up, prepared to shoot again. "Good to go?" He watched for Link's bow to present itself.

He readied his bow, with a smirk and a nod at Pit.

He was curious about where Link's arrows landed, though, so through his flurry of competitive spirit and concentration he tried his hardest to crane his attention over to Link's work. It was a little difficult!

The angel managed to hit two targets with one arrow and felt delight splash up inside. Oh no... he should have chosen to stick with an ordinary wooden bow, on second counts, because as Pit flung his arrows at targets haphazardly, he began to second-guess which targets had already been shot. It was easy enough to tell where Link's had landed, but Pit needed to keep a mental checklist, and that checklist could only be verified either by memory or by whatever blemish the light beams left on the targets. He couldn't see them closely from here, though. Oh well, just keep shooting...
Only a few more to go...!

Link was feeling rather happy with himself as he watched his arrow hit his last target. He lowered his bow and looked over at Pit to see whether or not he had finished.

Not just pretty good; better than a paltry word like "pretty". They shared an archery class together and Pit was naturally interested in seeing other students use bows, and Link was exceptional, practiced. It worth admiring, but pinched a small envious string in Pit. Even bigger was his curiosity. "Say... where did you learn? I don't think you ever said anything about that before." He looked at Link expectantly. "It's not secret, is it?"
no subject
"I guess I just learned it along the way," Link replied, sounding a bit uncertain.

"I just kind of knew how to when I first got my bow. That was about..." Link thought for a while. "...A little less than year ago?"
Whoa, pardon my grammar errors in those last few tags! 8U
Pit swallowed and let an awkward laugh float away as he gathered his words up into a more coherent stream. "You're a prodigy!"
Well I didn't even notice them until you pointed them out :V
"Well, uh... Thanks!" Link fumbled with his bow until he somehow managed to fit it into his small bag (http://i.neoseeker.com/ca/zelda_twilight_princess_conceptart_UvGvr.jpg). "You're really good at this, too!"
Oh. WELL THEN. Now you get to know.
"I'm glad you think so," Pit replied, recovering nicely from the shock of Link's marvelous knack for bowmanship. "I've... been practicing longer than you have... but, well, I guess... as long as I got good! That's all that matters, right?" He exhibited a small, edgy laugh, blushing ever so slightly for the weird behavior he was conscious of.

Pit's eyes shifted back and forth and his head craned around, like he was checking the perimeter for someone's... presence. "But the teacher is kind of a grouch. It's probably cuz he's so old. But there are other magic classes that are similar, like magic history and trans... uh. mogrying?" The angel fumbled with that last word because he couldn't remember how to pronounce it. Hey, come on, it was a funny word!
"Well, you know! Maybe not, huh?"
no subject
"Trans-mogrie-eying...?" Don't worry, Link didn't even know what the word meant.

He whirled around to face Link, shoving his arms behind his back and smiling at him with an expectant glow. "But this is about you, not me! You have so much potential. I'm maybe jealous."
Little did Pit know, but the teacher in charge of instructing students to change people into salamanders and the like was actually Link's arch-nemesis.
Pardon Pit, though; he's a bit lacking when it comes to pacing his conversation sometimes! "Hey, I'm curious. You've been on an adventure before?"
no subject
"Yeah. How about you?" Although Link probably knew the answer to that question already. Pit seemed like the type to have gone on adventures. He wouldn't have all these skills for nothing, right? But it didn't hurt to ask!
no subject
"I want to know about yours. Where did you go? Who did you see? Um... would you like to sit down, first? That is, if it's long..." He only wished it was long. Dork.
no subject
"So, actually, I just started out in a farm village called Ordon Village," Link began, grinning. He could already feel Pit's eagerness spreading to him!
no subject
Link started out as a casual laborer, from the sound of it. Immediately he pictured the lush rows of crops and farmland speckled with sheep and goats, the whole picture could be gazed upon from the heavens. The idea was romanticized to Pit, who had never once participated but had looked on from a detached and uncommunicable spot at the lives of such happy people. Pit was charmed.

After a while of talking, Link's story turned out to be rather long, yet far from dull, as he explained about how his friends had been taken away by the Bulblins, and how he had met Midna and traveled throughout all of Hyrule, collecting items to help on their quest to save his friends, and, eventually, save Hyrule. He soon got to explaining Ganondorf's evil plot, not knowing that Ganondorf was one of the teachers at the very school.
no subject
Then... there was the final issue with Ganondorf. "Wait. Ganondorf..." The angel swallowed. "You don't mean the same Ganondorf that teaches at this school, do you? Because I know he's a little suspicious sometimes, but I never really thought he'd-" It was like someone dropped a brick on his skull.
no subject
"But... Ganondorf is dead!" He exclaimed. Even though Ganondorf had survived imprisonment, coming back from the dead seemed nearly impossible, even for the holder of the Triforce of Power. And if had turned out that Ganondorf could escape death, what would they be able to do if he had decided to once again rise up and continue with his plans?

Maybe it would be best to face Ganondorf again. Seeing this man for himself would help him be able to determine whether or not this was the same Ganondorf that he had fought not that long ago.
"What class does he teach?"
no subject
no subject
Well, at least what Ganondorf was teaching didn't seem especially evil or anything. "How is his class?" He asked, suspecting that Pit had attended it at one point.

"Well," Link started, hoping to make things less awkward for Pit by changing the subject. "Ganondorf hasn't hurt anyone at the school, right?"
no subject
"Hmmmm... Hmm! I guess by petty standards he has. I mean, one time he kidnapped me and made me a part of his swim underwear cult. And then there was this one time when he couldn't control his powers and monsters ran wild around the school- we beat them all, of course. That was like, a year ago! But other than that, he just likes to play pranks, I think."
no subject
Wait, swim underwear cult? "Wh-" Link began, but just as soon cut himself off. A part of him was curious about this 'swim underwear cult', but from the sound of it, it didn't sound like something that was very...
Well, anyway, maybe that was enough about Ganondorf. He had hoped that he had left the Dark Lord behind when he had defeated him, but apparently he hadn't. The only way he could find out more about the Ganondorf at this school was if he saw him in person, especially since asking Pit all of these questions seemed to be making him uncomfortable.
