To extend our reach to the stars above! The lost Pokemon will get found!

Who: Arceus, Blacky and Kyle Hyde
What: Three intrepid young heroes go underground to free some Pokemons and pay inadvertent homage to the greatest television program ever made in the history of ever.
Where: The nearby Mountains of Convenience.
When: The weekend of October 23rd.

It's a bright, sunny day on the road west of Final Destination City! Last time, Kyle, a Detective from Who Knows Where, reunited with his wife he married in Vegas or something. A-arceus? I'm not getting paid enough to do this narration. After a hectic week of  getting it on, Bob suggests that they use his detective skills and those of Blacky to track down missing Pokemon that have seen been lost by Giovanni's evil deeds over the years. Discarded for their uselessness or simply forgotten in Pokeballs, the so-called Lost Ones number many, scattered around the globe. Can our intrepid hero embarks on a trip with two Pokemon women? What kinds of adventures await them? Find out, this time on...

This wasn't exactly what Kyle had in mind for the weekend. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't curious about these Team Rocket characters, though. It hit a little too close to home for him to just leave it alone, so Bob asking for his help was as good a reason as any to look into the group. Like any good (ex-)detective he tried to use his connections (hi Rachel) and do some research, but let's just say he came up really short and had to do most of his digging on his own.

It took a Long Time and it wasn't exactly the most fruitful. All he could really determine about Team Rocket that wasn't already public knowledge was that one time a pair of important members lurked around the city for a while before vanishing again. WERE THEY STILL AROUND...? It had been at least a few months since then and it was pretty likely that they weren't, but at the moment this place up in The Middle of Nowhere: Mountains Edition was the only lead of any kind they had.

Image Blacky wasn't sure how much faith she had in this project. On the one hand, they did have GOD on their side, but on the other hand, the same God had let all these terrible things befall Pokemon in the first place. Blacky's faith in Bob had been wavering more than just a little bit for the last while.

Still, giving it a shot was more useful than sitting in her dorm and being cynical about it! At the very least, some fresh mountain air would be good for her. Or something.

"You suppose there are really stolen Pokemon so near to the city?"

Image The very idea of the Rockets still operating made Blacky's fur bristle. But she'd heard about what happened in Johto; it was just as likely to happen in other places as well. But in a place so close to where Giovanni was staying? There was no way such a thing was going on without him having a hand in it.

"I don't know how to feel about having to pretend to be one of them." Well, she didn't know how to word her disgust coherently, anyway. "But if it's necessary..."

Well, Blacky wasn't the only one wary of this whole disguise business. Okay well Kyle just didn't want to get stuck in a lady's pirate outfit again. "Hope not," he said, kind of fighting a losing battle against nature. So you know how most of the time city boys and hiking in the wilderness don't mix? Yeah this wasn't much different.

After much tripping over tree roots and being generally bad at this sort of thing, he finally put his skills to good use and caught something a-rustlin' in the bushes! Oops nevermind it jumped out anyway. IT WAS... A RATTATA. Oh. Gee it was staring them down like crazy.

Image Uh-oh. From Blacky's experiences in growing up with a Rattata from the wild, she knew they were surly beasts who were rude and cold and painfully blunt! Or maybe that was just her sister. Either way, she wasn't going to bother wasting her time trying to be polite and charm the thing.

"We're not looking for a battle. We're looking for humans. Are there any nearby?"
