a face-off! totally-not-kirby-like knight vs. froo-froo fairy!
Who: Meta Knight, Selene
What: SPARRING. IN THE NAME OF SMASH FUNDAMENTALS.
Where: The stadium
When: Thursday, October 28th
Warnings: Fighting, of course. 8U
The stadium. This place used to be the one she would beam at the sight of. Selene wasn't sure if that was exactly the case now.
As she entered, her mind repeated to her, It's only a spar. It's only a spar. It wasn't as if this was war or anything. It wasn't fighting filled with bad intention. It was just a spar for her class. So why, why oh why, did this feel so wrong?
Cyrus' teachings were reaching her, and they were reaching her strongly. Perhaps they were reaching her TOO strongly. Now she was just in a state of confusion over her morals. What was ever right or wrong anymore?
Meta Knight was her teacher. Surely there was reason for this. She couldn't let this hinder her grades. Yet something inside of her, somewhere deep, she felt that this wasn't the right thing to do.
Maybe she was following Cyrus too blindly, but she wasn't about to accept that as a possibility.
For now, she must wait and see where the fight takes her.

and he forgot his pantsand surprisingly not a tiny blue puffball this time. EXTRA CHALLENGE FOR HIM..."Is something the matter?" Was he polishing his sword. ...Yes.

One white lie wouldn't be a bad idea, right? Just... Just one. It was for a reason. "Oh, no, of course not~ I am just a little anxious," she told him, forcing a smile. Honestly, that wasn't even the half of it, but she wasn't going to even think of going into detail about what was on her mind. "I will be fine once our battle starts, I assure you."
He also looked markedly different as a human. Much less... tiny and round.
He has nice legs.no subject
Only the best.Meta Knight was definitely not fooled. SOMETHING WAS BUGGING SELENE HE KNEW IT. "Is that all?" He asked, checking to see if his sword was ~nice and shiny~. "Don't let it worry you. I'm ready when you are."
no subject
"Ah, goodness no. I am certainly ready." Selene paused and glanced around. She just remembered... didn't the Stadium have some kind of stage changer or something? She heard about it, but couldn't remember where it was or how it worked. This technology was still so strange to her.
"Are there any things that we will need to set up for the fight?"
no subject
"Ah, that's right! It would probably help if the Stadium was ready." Off he went over to some podium-looking thing! "Let's see if we can get a challenging one..." Beep boop button pressing, oh no he forgot a few of the numbers...
What is that. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6wVEizLh-I)

Selene nodded. "What a wonderful stage~ I would be fine with this one and am ready when-"
OH GOD AND THEN SUDDENLY, THEY HAD TO SIDESTEP.
What in the world even. Selene just... did that after the sudden instruction. And failed. Oh yeah, and tripped onto her face.
"G-Goodness," she spoke, her voice muffled. She pulled herself up after a brief moment. "What was that?"
no subject
"Nevermind. Go on, come at me!" HIS BODY IS READY.
no subject
No matter. She'd adapt. Somehow. HER BODY IS SEMI-READY.
She decided that right now, actions compensated for words. That was all she needed now. Grasping her wand, she ran forward and made a horizontal slash. A moderately-sized beam of moonlight magic headed straight for Meta Knight as a result. IT WAS ON.
no subject
He was charging right at her! He skidded to a halt in front of Selene and used whatever Sweet Leftover Momentum he had to swing his sword at her (DON'T WORRY SHE WON'T GET SLICED UP WITH IT VIA SMASH BROTERS MAGIC).
no subject
She wasn't ready to give up, though. She wouldn't just stand there and not defend herself. Her wand was strong. It would hopefully take the sword's hits without that much issue.
Thus, she stuck it out in front of her, hoping to block the sword's slices.

...OR WAS HE. Something just totally fell out of the sky and bounced off his head! IT WAS... A POKE BALL!? You should pick it up while he's staring at it.
no subject
Selene ran straight for it and tossed it, hoping for something good to come out of it. Something came, alright. It was big. It was menacing. It was legendary.
It's a...
It's a...!
IT'S A-!
... Goldeen.
What. THAT FLOPPING AROUND IS NOT HELPING ANYTHING. Selene just stares at it, absolutely astounded. Also, absolutely open for attack. Oops.
no subject
Once it disappeared he stood there for a moment, still dumbfounded (gee I wonder if this has ever happened to him before (no)).
no subject
Selene's eyes then darted to something else that began to fall from the sky. That being a giant foot. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6wVEizLh-I#t=1m08s)
OH GOD IT WAS A GIANT FOOT and they had to dodge it. WOOSH went Selene.
She then fell flat on her face.
no subject
"What is--" A FOOT. "Augh!" Man did that smart.
Whereas Selene made it out of the way, Meta Knight was very unceremoniously stomped on. And quite stuck in the ground. He struggled to free himself but ALAS, HE WAS STAYING THERE FOR A WHILE.

-watched a ball drop from the sky? Oh yeah, that was a very special, golden ball. As she lifted it, she then realized that it was heavy and noises rattled inside. It had items! What could be inside? She didn't know.
There was only one way to find out. She tossed it. It lifted gently into the air, and with a triumphant fanfare, it busted open. A few items came from inside: a gooey bomb, a Super Scope, and a... what was that sword? It was glowing blue! Was that some kind of magical sword?
Selene peered curiously at it. What should she do? HMMM.
no subject
He would have nightmares for a week.He dusted himself off and definitely eyed that blue sword. IT LOOKED NICE... His was totally nicer. It was so nice, in fact, that once he regained his bearings he charged at her again!
no subject
She, too, charged, and swung her sword at him. The energy buzzed as it came down. This was magic she had no idea about, but she was really... comfortable with it all of a sudden.
Smash items sure were interesting.
no subject
As soon as he got up a giant stone block appeared between the two.
Chisel!
He stared at the block with a confused frown and then experimentally hit it with his sword. PIECES FELL OFF...? Fine okay he hit it again.
no subject
Selene took a cautious slice at the stone in front of her. Some stone chips fell right off from her attack, too. HM. WELL. She would just knock this down then. She kept on slashing it until it finally busted into little bitty rock pieces, which... disappeared pretty fast. ALL AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. How odd.
Either way, that was out of the way. It was time. For. Destruc-
... Hello there, was that a mushroom? Well, it seemed pretty harmless. Maybe it'd have a nice effect. Selene ran into it and practically absorbed it.
She then shrank. Yes, she shrank.
Oh. God. SHE WENT RUNNING. Not out of the field- she wasn't willing to forfeit- but running to try to avoid any attacks. She didn't want to be smashed.
I don't even remember if this is how it works any more %'(
Would it even be fair to fight back when she was so tiny... WELL, WELL. NOT TO WORRY, DEAR READERS, BECAUSE ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE MUSHROOMS FELL RIGHT ON HIS HEAD! All right now it was time to get down to business. He ran at her and slashed a few times as quickly as he could.
you are doing fine %Db
Those slashes hit her and damaged her, that was for sure, increasing her fatigue. She wasn't ready to back down yet, though. She swung down the laser sword, although awkwardly and slowly. She didn't even know if it would clock a hit.
no subject
Congratulations, Selene, you have a few seconds to do a victory dance before the mushrooms wear off!
no subject
... OR NOT. Because now suddenly, another giant phrase popped up before them.
Don't move!
Selene definitely froze in her spot, her expression a bit surprised. UH. She couldn't move for a minute? Uh... okay then?
no subject
Meta Knight inched towards her a little to BETTER INVESTIGATE-- oops he moved.
