Awkward Shower Log: The Movie: The Sequel: The Broadway Adaption No One will go See

Who: Mikapii and Tony!
What: The start of a beautiful friendship through awkward.
Where: Boy's Communal Showers... no, really.
When: May 22th, Late Morning
Rating: PG-13 for OBLIGATORY SHOWER SCENE

Usually, Mikapii would rise at the crack of 5 am to take his daily shower. He'd climb out of bed, grab his bathrobe, and scurry out of the room. Down the hall, he'd avoid the wandering eyes of onlookers as he slipped into the shower room. Especially on a week day, the showers were typically empty. He'd be free to do as he pleased! And what he enjoyed most was singing. He couldn't get away with doing that when anyone else was there; if they fell asleep, they'd be laying there. Naked. In a shower stall. And that would be awkward...!

Unfortunately, right now it wasn't 5 am: it was 10 am. And it wasn't a class day either: it was a Saturday. That meant no singing in the shower, in case someone else happened to walk in. With a sigh, Mikapii trudged down the hall and into the shower room. Thankfully, it seemed pretty empty for now, but there were no indication that it would stay that way. He peeled off his pink robe and hung it up before hopping under one of the shower heads. While washing himself would probably be much faster in Pokemon form, reaching the shower heads was too much of a chore, so he remained as a human. It was unlike the puff to sleep in so late, but for whatever reason, he'd forgotten to set his alarm clock the night before!

And so, resisting the urge to start humming, he turned on the hot water. Hopefully no one else would come in here before he finished up!

Yyyyyeah, you're not going to be alone for long, Mikapii. Tony chose to take a shower at this very time, too. He walked into the shower room, rubbing the sleep out of his eye. This morning, he had been a late riser, making his steps turn to shuffles and his body still clothed in pajamas, even though the sun already ascended long before. Oh, somebody was in here. ~~TOO BAD IT WASN'T JEFF.~~ He was about to find a good place to set his things down when a certain aspect about the person taking a shower forced him to forgo a double-take.

Oh gosh, there was a girl in the boy's bathroom... What should he do? Should he leave? Clearly Tony was not equipped with the appropriate knowledge on how to handle situations like this. In his utter shock, he dropped his scrub brush. Clunk. Oops. Congratulations, Tony. There was no going back now.

Mikapii had been in the middle of covering himself in bubbles when he heard the sudden sound of something striking against the tile floor. Naturally, this required investigation! He turned and looked over towards the direction of the sounds and found Tony, standing there, looking positively mortified.

Still covered in the wondrous gender-concealing bubbles that obscured his upper torso ~~though not so much preventing Tony's wandering eye from discovering THE TRUTH~~, Mikapii brought a hand to his chest and called out to the other boy, "Uhm. Are you okay over there...?" While Mikapii had developed some sense of shame upon becoming a human, in a shower, one was expected to not be wearing any clothes, and so he wasn't embarrassed by the situation in the slightest!

Aaaah, what should he say now? Think, Tony, think. Wow, he was totally expecting a horrible scream to be unleashed or something that would make him feel even worse about stumbling in on her showering, but that wasn't the case! Getting shy, Tony's eyes averted the other student and he wrapped his arms behind his back, not sure... exactly what to do with himself.

"Y-yeah, I'm perfectly good! No cause for concern over here!" Okay, now how long was it expected of him to stand there twiddling his thumbs before he could finally make a getaway? "But um..." he moused, almost without intention, so he bristled up a little and blushed even harder than he already was.

Mikapii tilted his head to the side, confused by the other boy's suddenly nervousness. He'd seen him around the school before... oh, but what was his name? It'd be awkward if the poor boy was looking so upset and then Mikapii went and forgot his name! Well, thankfully, that wasn't the most vital thing right now. "You don't sound good! You sure?"

The puff took a step through the water that was cascading down from the shower head, the protective layer of bubbles dripping off his body and into the drain. As he took another step closer, he seemed to notice Tony's blush. "Uwah! Your face is all red! Are you catching a cold? Or... are you..." Cautiously, he took one more step, peering up into the other boy's averted eyes, "...blushing?"

And when his eyes chanced to glimpse the pink-haired boy one last time, his mind was completely blown. Prepare for another double-take! Only this time, he was blushing even harder.

"You're a- You're a boy!" he squeaked. Tony's hands flew up to cup his mouth in surprise. Oh no, he probably shouldn't have reacted that way... Now she... he might get their feelings hurt.

Mikapii continued to stare at Tony, wondering if the other boy was having a fit of some kind! And then his eyes trailed down, and back, and then down again...

And then he said that.

And now Mikapii's entire face burst into a blush as he took a step back, both hung agape in surprise. "You though I was a- Even though I'm in the- And when I'm-" He wasn't able to form a full sentence, suddenly feeling even more self-conscious than he was moments before, even though he was still just as naked as he has been.

Why does this keep happening?

"O-Of course I'm a boy! This is the boy's shower room, a-and I'm not a girl!" A pout appeared on his face as he crossed his arms.

Oh no, now he really did it! Tony's hands rose up uselessly as he tried to conjure a proper response to this mess he caused. "I'm sorry...! You're right... I should have thought better, but I guess it's just that... Well..." His hands came to rest at either side of his frame. "...You're so pretty, I-"

Oh noooo

Mikapii was fully ready to just return to his shower and pretend this didn't happen, but Tony went on talking! And as he stumbled over his words, when he reached the end, Mikapii was blushing for a whole new reason. "E-Ehh? You... th-think I'm pretty...?"

Right away the pout dropped off his face and instead, he was giggling. "Awwwww, I can't stay mad at someone who says sweet things like that~!"

Tony's posture relaxed a little, but the blood continued to rush to his cheeks relentlessly. While he was relieved that Mikapii was no longer upset or mad at him, he didn't know what to say anymore. Gosh, this was all just a muddled bunch of confusion for him! He couldn't even keep his eyes focused on one thing!

But with the misunderstanding sorted out, he could at least stop acting like he tripped on stage. He told himself to calm down. "W-well... Ahaha, yeah." He rubbed the back of his neck and tried a smile. "Usually pretty people get mistaken for girls all the time, so that might be where I went wrong. Thanks for forgiving me! By the way, what's your name?"

While Tony was still getting over his embarrassment, Mikapii took a few steps back so he could be under the water again... it was cold just standing there without any clothes on, after all. And hey, now that they'd gotten over the embarrassing part ~~hopefully~~, there was nothing wrong with a little conversation, too!

"Don't worry, I get it more than you'd... think." Or maybe just as often as he thought. It certainly did seem to happen to him more than it did for other students! He shook that thought from his mind and smiled, "And I'm Mikapii~ I think I remember you from when I first came here, in December! It's... Tony, right?"

Tony nodded, his smile expanding. "Good memory!" He too stepped back a little to unbutton the front of his pajamas. "I've seen you from time to time, but I never really got to know your name." Not to mention he always assumed he was a girl. For some reason, knowing he was a boy too made him ease up around him.

"Well, the campus is pretty big! So it only makes sense that it'd be hard to get to know everyone~" By now, Mikapii was getting started on shampooing up his curly pink hair, but that didn't keep him from looking in Tony's direction while they spoke... until he realized the other boy was undressing. Somehow, the act of undressing seemed more embarrassing than being undressed...!

And so, with a blush still present on is face, he went ahead and continued washing. "Uhm. Well! Maybe we should get to know each other then~?"

"Let's!" Mikapii sure was nice. Suddenly, he was glad for that uncomfortable slip-up, as mortifying as it had been in those flying seconds. "I'd love to get to know you better."

At this point, Tony was completely naked. ~~And then they made out... nakedly./mature thought process~~ He claimed the shower nozzle adjacent to Mikapii's and cranked the water, pressed against the wall ~~oh shit lol~~ so as to avoid the water and its potentially untamed temperature levels. In the meantime, he made note of Mikapii's pink ears and chose to ask, "Say, I couldn't help but notice, but you have ears. Does that mean you're using that humanization technique?" out of simple curiosity.

Mikapii smiled and nodded at Tony, his ears twitching just a bit. They seemed to stand out so much more when his hair was wet; it was normally so much more poofy, after all! "Yes, I am! I'm actually a Pokemon... here, I can show you~!"

Folding his arms across his chest, Mikapii closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Some people used charms or balls or magic or whatever to go back and forth between being a human and... well, whatever they happen to be. But since Mikapii is a Pokemon, using a TM was just so much easier...

...and with a small puff of smoke, Mikapii had seemingly disappeared! And in his place was a small, round, and very very pink creature. Unfortunately for Tony, he may also notice something else.

"Jigglyyyy puff, puff, jiggly puff!" Not a single word coming from the puff's mouth was intelligible. Of course, this was likely the case with many Pokemon at the school, although certainly some of them had managed to pick up the language in some manner. Maybe Mikapii was just a little slow... after all, he didn't even seem to notice that Tony couldn't understand a word he was saying! "Jigglypuuuff puff jig-jigglyyy..."

~~And then Tony fell asleep in the shower and got pikachus drawn all over his butt.~~

Tony was awestruck! Why was Mikapii so adorable? He couldn't stop from smiling! Those eyes were so round and sparkly and Mikapii was just the size of a soccer ball, maybe a little bigger. And the tuft of hair on his head reminded him of strawberry whipped cream.

"You're cute both ways! I should have expected as much!"

As cute as the Jigglypuff was, taking a shower in Pokemon form just wasn't the same. For starters, everything was so high up that he had no chance of reaching the knobs anyway. And secondly, it just didn't feel right bathing in this form when he spent most of his time in his other form!

~~Not to mention, being so short, he had to look up at Tony. Naked. From the ground. And what a view it was...!~~

And so, with another small puff of smoke...

...Mikapii was once more as a human, giggling and blushing at the compliments. This boy really knew how to make a guy blush! Now that there was anything wrong with it; Mikapii loved getting attention. "Geeze, you're making me bluuush! I'm not thaaat cute~"

And Mikapii, who clearly had no shame, nor respect for person boundaries, leaned forward and decided to return the favor. "And besides! You're pretty cute, too~"

Not many people told him that- very often, at least, so that remark jerked him into surprise as though he was suddenly yanked around on a leash. He remembered that they were both standing under the pouring shower heads without even a sock on and that made him feel more awkward about the comment than he needed to be in the first place. He wasn't sure if the steam seemed hotter or if it was just his imagination.

With a swallow, he mewled a response. "N-not... Not as cute as you, believe me!"
