Cafeteria Adventure

Who: Ponyta, Kirby, Mikapii, and YOU! (This log is now open~! Characters that may be around in the cafeteria or passing by can join in.)
What: Ponyta gives the puff balls a ride to the food palace to show her the wonders of human food
When: Roughly before lunch time (noon); Backdated to a Jan. 17
Where: In front of dorms, then at cafeteria
Warnings: Possible chances of acquiring diabetes and growling stomachs

With Ponyta's stomach growling in hunger, she headed to the entrance of the dorm eagerly to wait for her newly acquired friends. She wondered what human food would taste like (with the exception of their vegetables) and recalled the images of the food her caretakers back in Kanto would eat. It certainly smelled interesting and delectable enough, in her opinion. However, the smell of meat wasn't so great to her. Plants, however, smelled absolutely delicious.

Ponyta began to slightly sway back and forth in her position near the door while continuously shifting her weight from foot to foot. Excitement filled up within her. She couldn't wait to hang out with her new friends, explore the cafeteria, and try out human food. Humming to pass the time, she decided she'd transform back to Pokemon form when they arrived to give them a horseback ride to the cafeteria.

Kirby couldn't wait to get to the cafeteria, his stomach was growling so much ever since the clock hit noon. His growling stomach probably could be heard well before he appeared from the corner. He skipped along happily as he got up to where Ponyta was waiting.

"Poyo~ Hi poyo!" Kirby greeted with a smile and a wave.

Making haste to leave his dorm room was Mikapii, happily skipping down the hall out towards the exit so he could go out to lunch with some friends! Although she generally liked being in human-form around the school, since this outing would be with a fellow Pokemon and Kirby, he decided today was a jigglypuff day!

Of course, he still had a large blue bow tied in his hair, but that was normal for him. As he opened the door, he quickly spotted Ponyta and Kirby, and quickly began to wave, "Hey, guys~!"

Quickly spinning around to face Kirby and Mikapii, Ponyta greeted them happily with a smile, "Hey~! Are we ready to go? Wanna ride on my back on the way there? I can change into my Pokemon form right now."

Ponyta's eyes grew wide with excitement along with her smile. She wondered if she should trot at a good, relaxing pace to the cafeteria or if she should give them the time of their lives with a fast gallop.

Oh wow, he did know Mikapii was a Pokemon who supposed to look similar to himself, but this was actually his first time being side by side with Mikapii in his Poke-form, and they do look alike. Kirby felt like if he had ears and a little puff of hair, he'd be just like Mikapii.

Oh, it's probably not a good idea to stare too much.

"Poyoyo, that sounds like so much fun poyo!" Kirby responded to Ponyta, hopping up into the air in excitement.

Likewise, when he caught sight of Kirby looking at him, Mikapii couldn't help but think that if he taped his ears down and smoothed back his hair, he might very well pass for Kirby!

He turned and looked up at Ponyta, and his eyes grew wide, "Uwaah... I've never ridden another Pokemon before~! ...is it safe?"

Ponyta blinked for a moment and couldn't help but think the two looked alike. Was Kirby really not a Pokemon? She wondered if there was something out there in the universe that wasn't a Pokemon but looked a lot like her, too.

A brief giggle escaped from Ponyta as she skipped backwards a couple of steps. "Of course it's safe! Don't worry, my flames won't hurt you. I promise! You'll have to tell me the way to the cafeteria, though, or else we may get lost."

With that, an orange cloud erupted and Ponyta's original form emerged through the smoke. She knelt down in front of the two to signal for them to get on.

Kirby was a bit worried about the flames when he saw Ponyta transform into her Pokemon form, but then he remembered that the other had answered before she transformed. Nothing to worry about.

He curiously gazed at the fire before poking at it.

"Poyooo, it doesn't burn poyo!!" He exclaimed before giggling a bit. "I know where the cafeteria is poyo! I go there every day poyo!"

Every student on campus would probably visit the place everyday, too.

"Really...?" Mikapii had never heard of flames that couldn't hurt, so naturally he was a bit wary of the thought. And so, he waited for Kirby to test them out before he too hesitantly climbing aboard the other Pokemon. "Uwah! You're right, they don't... that's so cool~!"

A bright smile spread over the puffball's face as he raised one arm and pointed off in a random direction, "Let's go~!" Then, after a small pause and a giggle, he added, "...actually, it's the other way, but I was being dramatic~"

Ponyta neighed passionately as she readied herself to run off in the direction Mikapii pointed at. Her hooves tensed slightly in preparation to take off, until...

Mikapii giggled and changed the direction in which he was pointing at.

Needless to say, Ponyta's energy level nearly dropped to nil as she lost her composure. However, regaining that energy back as easily as it was lost, Ponyta turned around and began the trot forward to the epic adventure to discover the land of food to fill their stomachs!

"How's the speed? Would you like me to go faster?" As much as she wanted to break out running, Ponyta didn't want her friends to fall off her back.

"Poyoyo~ The wind feels so nice poyo!" Kirby shouted with a giggle. It was almost like he was riding on a warp star! ...Except he was on the ground, not high up in the air.

"Poyoyo~ faster poyo!" Kirby said as he waved his hands in the air.

As they started off, right away Mikapii was clinging onto Kirby, having never ridden on... well, anything! Maybe inside a car, but that's it!

When Ponyta asked about the speed, Mikapii started to say something, but Kirby answered first: faster!? They were already moving so fast...! But if both Kirby and Ponyta were enjoying it, Mikapii didn't want to be a killjoy. "Y-Yeah, l-let's... go!!"

Although excited to feel Kirby's enthusiasm, Ponyta couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of anxiety on her back. She was a bit sensitive as a horse to her riders and couldn't completely ignore one passenger's slight discomfort. She may be oblivious to things in life, but she at least could notice her rider's feelings... to an extent.

"Faster? Are you sure?" Ponyta wasn't sure if Mikapii really wanted to go faster, but since he agreed, she shrugged away her doubts. If he didn't really want to go fast, he would have said so, right? Maybe he was just nervous because it was his first time riding a fiery horse. These type of thoughts ran through Ponyta's head, but since they both agreed to go faster, nothing could stop her now!

"Well, alright! Here. We. GOOOO!"

Whoaaa...!! Kirby yelled in excitement as Ponyta started dashing through the air. It was like they were riding on the wind!!

"Poyo~ So fast poyo~~" Kirby giggled. He almost wanted to wave his hand in the air, but he shouldn't let go when they were going so fast...!

Perhaps Mikapii had underestimated exactly how much faster Ponyta was able to go.

With a small squeak, Mikapii clung onto Kirby and buried his face into the other puffball's back. It felt as though his stomach was doing backflips! Hopefully it wouldn't be much further until they reached the cafeteria...!

After a short while of running nearly at top speed, the cafeteria quickly came into sight and Ponyta slowed down to a halt by the door.

"Okay, we're here! ...I think." Kneeling down to allow Mika and Kirby to get down easier, Ponyta turned to point her nose at the door. "This is the cafeteria, right?" She sniffed the air a bit, and surely enough, her nose caught the scent of food wafting out the door. Her stomach growled.

"Oh! Ehehehe. Guess that quick run made me even hungrier! Shall we go inside?"

"Poyo~ This is the cafeteria poyo~" Kirby confirmed, hopping off of Ponyta and danced around in front of the door. "There is lots of food poyo~ They're all really good poyoyo!"

With that said, he opened the door and entered the room. By habit, he immediately hopped over to where the trays were placed.

When Ponyta stopped, Mikapii rolled off her back and onto the ground with a soft plop! sound, clinging to the safe, unmoving ground as he took a moment to recollect himself.

Once on his feet, he looked over at the cafeteria and smiled, following in behind the others. "Uhm. S-So, Ponyta, you said you don't like meat, right? Well, we can show you stuff they have that doesn't have any meat!" They had to have something, surely! ~~It's not like every day was Bacon and Steak day or something.~~

Nodding, Ponyta looked around enthusiastically to take in the sights. Everything was so new to her here.

"Yup! No meat for me, please."

Then, feeling that it would be much easier to eat in human form, Ponyta transformed. She blinked for a second before looking down at herself as she realized her clothes were gone. Strange. The transformation watch was still attached to her wrist, so where were the rest of her clothes?

Did I... transform wrong? Ponyta thought curiously. I didn't want to accidentally break the watch with my hoof, so I tried transforming on my own.... Hmmm, we're here already so I would hate to make them wait any longer to eat just so I can get my clothes. It's not like I need clothes to be able to eat.

Shrugging, Ponyta skipped towards the trays where Kirby was thinking that it would be all right to go around naked. After all, she only learned from Daisy that going out naked is improper, but not necessarily required. People would forgive her for this simple mistake.... right?

Kirby certainly didn't mind. He only understood the clothes were to be to keep the body warm, and he did go swimming naked while they were on a boat trip before and probably many other times to ~~just that the mun was too lazy to write them all out~~ and it was fun.

"Poyo~ We take the tray first poyo, and then take dishes to use when we pick out food poyoyo~" Kirby described the procedure as he started getting various kinds of food mounted on his plate.

While Kirby and Ponyta thought nothing of the pony-girl's nudity, Mikapii couldn't help but gasp, blush, and cover his face. She didn't bring any...!? Well, she couldn't exactly eat human food as a horse... still, Mikapii couldn't help but wish he'd come in human form so he could have lent her a coat or something!

It was probably cold, after all!

Deciding not to say anything about it, Mikapii grabbed a tray of his own and hopped along the counter next to Ponyta, pointing out a few things, "Okay! So that's a hamburger, but it's got meat so don't get that... and those are French fries, which are like... really salty crunchy potato things! And then this stuff is all for making a salad, which is just vegetables and stuff!"

"WOW. SO MANY FOODS." Joy gleamed Ponyta's eyes as she looked at all the food laid out before her. A short chill ran through her spine from the cold seeping in through the door, but it was nothing that her fiery tail couldn't help her with. She simply turned up the heat a bit (being mindful of her surrounding as not to burn them or anyone) and continued on her merry way.

"Ohhh~ I think I'll go with a salad! Just look at all the different vegetables there are! The french fries look interesting, too. What else is there?"

"Poyo! There are some vegetarian hamburgers poyo! It's made with tofu poyoyo~ It's a different taste than a real hamburger but it's still really really good poyo!" Kirby responded, picking out a few of them as he spoke.

"Poyooo there's also dessert poyo! Mister Nancy bear makes really really good cakes poyo~"

He got himself a whole cake to eat for later. Hey, at least he wasn't taking five of them at once.

Did Kirby just take a whole cake? He totally just took a whole cake. Obviously Mikapii had never paid much attention to the other puffball when he was eating.

He caught himself staring for a moment, probably wondering how on earth Kirby wasn't as round in human form as he was in his regular form, but then caught himself and looked at the desserts. "Oh! They have ice cream today, too~!" A delighted smile appeared on Mikapii's face as he looked over at the flavors. They always had so many...! He grabbed a cup of rainbow sherbet and set it on his own tray.
