It was a good question, but easy for her to answer. How convenient that Samus also taught BioMechanical Engineering... "If you and your cold blood are able to so vigorously wave your arm in this cold weather then that means your body is generating enough energy that the scope can read." Samus was leaving out the part that thermal scopes worked on the same principals night vision scopes did and it wasn't entirely heat-based. Just mostly.
