ILU GUYS SO MUCH

Who: Lemmy, Kamek, Bowser, and Wendy.
What: Lemmy presents gifts to his family members!
Where: Some courtyard on the school grounds, idk.
When: Backdated to November 11.
Warnings: LOVE. SO MUCH LOVE.

The day was crisp, clear, and cold, and the trees were beautiful shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. The well-tended courtyard's grass was slightly damp from the morning dew, and Lemmy's circus ball was a little slippery from rolling around in the droplets. Lemmy hopped up and down eagerly on his ball, waiting for his family members to arrive for their gifts. They were going to love the things he bought for them!

Bowser showed up. He was... interested to see what Lemmy had decided to buy for all of them. For some reason.

He was also concerned and slightly worried and also almost certain he wouldn't like it. Because Lemmy had terrible taste.

But Lemmy was his son, and fathers were required to do certain things, one of them being, he supposed, letting his children shower him with gifts.

"Lemmy," he said, acknowledging his child.

Kamek, like Bowser, didn't hold high expectations for what Lemmy was about to present for them. He also felt a bit guilty; he should be the one getting things for Bowser's family, not the other way around. Still, he supposed he grew to be more than just a nanny in the Koopalings' eyes.

Kamek hopped from his broom and unto the wet grass. Kamek would accept whatever gift Lemmy had for him, and not just because doing otherwise was disrespectful. Receiving a gift from one of the kids was no small matter to Kamek.

In the end, Wendy didn't really care who was the one buying presents for her as long as there were presents being bought for her. She just hoped Lemmy had enough sense to make it really shiny and really expensive. But when she saw the lumps that vaguely resembled packages, she instantly grew skeptical.

She also didn't like that she had to come all the way out into the wet cold outdoors for this.

"This better be good."

Bowser reached out with a claw for the gift and ripped off the crappy homemade rainbow paper it was covered in.

((WHAT IS IT))

...

...

"Pink, Lemmy? You expect Great Evil King Bowser to wear pink?"

[identity profile] brattykoopa.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nothing's wrong with pink, King Dad." Wendy crossed her arms, eying the collar with envy (not so much because she liked it but because it was given to someone that was not her. Even if it was Bowser.). "Roy knows that. He's the only one who does." Besides herself, of course.

[identity profile] ihateplumbers.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Then give it to Roy," he said, throwing it at Kamek's head. "Because I don't wear pink."

Sorry, Wendy.

And seriously, baby blue? Lime green? Ugh, Lemmy you had the worst taste in everything.

And then he looked down and saw Lemmy's terrified face. Ugh, Lemmy, you're such a wimp. Was Bowser going to have to say something nice to keep you from crying?

Yeah, he probably was.

"I like the red one," he said.

[identity profile] ihateplumbers.livejournal.com 2009-11-15 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Parts of it," admitted Bowser. "Now CALM DOWN," he ordered kindly.

Kamek caught the pink collar with one hand. He was...amused, to be honest, but he refrained from saying anything lest Bowser whack him on the head. He'd just store the collar for Roy. Or Wendy, if she badgered him for it.

[identity profile] brattykoopa.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, she would definitely be badgering Kamek for it. But for now she was too preoccupied with the fact that she was finally receiving her presents! She should have got it ages ago. Didn't her family know the "Ladies First" rule?

She snatched the package up and tore the paper off as fast as possible.

A new bow! Wow, something Wendy was actually interested in. Lemmy was a little smarter than she'd normally give him credit for. He probably just lucked out.

Was that a look of delight on her face? It vanished as an instant as she remembered that just because Lemmy was being nice didn't mean she had to. Especially not with Bowser watching. She humphed and turned the bow over with her claws.

"Ugh. It would be rainbow. But I guess it's okay. My other ribbons are getting old, anyway."

Kamek saw this, but wasn't going to say anything about it. He may not excel in the field of being a....second parent-like figure, or wherever he stood with them now that they were old enough to not require a watchful, constant eye. But he knew there were times when he shouldn't get in the way of kids being kids.

Alright, if the first two gifts were any indication, his present would be something of multicolor as well (Lemmy what is it with you and rainbows seriously). With a breath of anticipation, he tore off the paper wrapping off the package.

oh please don't let it be a multicolor robe for all that's good in the world don't let it be that

Bowser stared.

And stared.

And stared.

And then started laughing his tail off.

what is this i don't even

[identity profile] geometricmagic.livejournal.com 2009-11-24 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
"Thank you, Lemmy. It's real...nice," he said, inspecting the rainbow glasses. He can't think of an occasion where he'd even think to wear these. At a disco bar, maybe. "I'll treasure it always."

[identity profile] ihateplumbers.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
"He'll wear them tomorrow," said Bowser. "And every day," he added, looking at Kamek and daring him to say otherwise.

Oh man, greatest gift ever, Lemmy. Maybe you don't suck so much after all.

[identity profile] geometricmagic.livejournal.com 2009-12-03 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Kamek glares at you back, Bowser, but said nothing nonetheless. He turned over to Lemmy, something of a forced kindness in his voice. "I'm not sure if they're even the right prescription, Lemmy..." Maybe he could still worm his way out of this one. He didn't want to be flying into trees, after all.

[identity profile] ihateplumbers.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
"They're fine, you're wearing them tomorrow," said Bowser, staring at the withered old magikoopa.

Have fun flying into trees.
