The day was crisp, clear, and cold, and the trees were beautiful shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. The well-tended courtyard's grass was slightly damp from the morning dew, and Lemmy's circus ball was a little slippery from rolling around in the droplets. Lemmy hopped up and down eagerly on his ball, waiting for his family members to arrive for their gifts. They were going to love the things he bought for them!

He was also concerned and slightly worried and also almost certain he wouldn't like it. Because Lemmy had terrible taste.
But Lemmy was his son, and fathers were required to do certain things, one of them being, he supposed, letting his children shower him with gifts.
"Lemmy," he said, acknowledging his child.

He glanced behind him at the clumsily wrapped gifts. He didn't have any wrapping paper at the time, so he had used
his homeworkregular sheets of blank paper, and colored them with crayons. The misshapen packages were mummified with tape, and the ribbon was just some simple string he bought with the little money he had left.no subject
Kamek hopped from his broom and unto the wet grass. Kamek would accept whatever gift Lemmy had for him, and not just because doing otherwise was disrespectful. Receiving a gift from one of the kids was no small matter to Kamek.

She also didn't like that she had to come all the way out into the wet cold outdoors for this.
"This better be good."

It was when he turned back around to bring his family their presents that he began to feel nervous. What if they didn't like their gifts? What if his dad was disappointed in him again? It would be just like the Dinosaur Land incident all over again. What if Wendy hit him?
He gingerly held out one of the packages to Bowser. "I-I hope you like it.."

...
"Pink, Lemmy? You expect Great Evil King Bowser to wear pink?"

"S-sorry dad... Maybe you could... throw the pink one away..?" Lemmy stuttered nervously and began nibbling one of his claws.

Sorry, Wendy.
And seriously, baby blue? Lime green? Ugh, Lemmy you had the worst taste in everything.
And then he looked down and saw Lemmy's terrified face. Ugh, Lemmy, you're such a wimp. Was Bowser going to have to say something nice to keep you from crying?
Yeah, he probably was.
"I like the red one," he said.

"So you like it?!" Lemmy almost screamed. Whoops.

He walked over to Wendy and held out the package in an earnest way.

She snatched the package up and tore the paper off as fast as possible.

Was that a look of delight on her face? It vanished as an instant as she remembered that just because Lemmy was being nice didn't mean she had to. Especially not with Bowser watching. She humphed and turned the bow over with her claws.
"Ugh. It would be rainbow. But I guess it's okay. My other ribbons are getting old, anyway."

He ran over and hugged Wendy hard. "I knew you'd like it!"
And then Lemmy discretely stuck a "Kick Me" sign to Wendy's back.

He ran over and thrust a package into Kamek.
Yes, Lemmy was sure Kamek would love this gift.

(Lemmy what is it with you and rainbows seriously). With a breath of anticipation, he tore off the paper wrapping off the package.oh please don't let it be a multicolor robe for all that's good in the world don't let it be that

And stared.
And stared.
And then started laughing his tail off.

Oh man, greatest gift ever, Lemmy. Maybe you don't suck so much after all.

"Really Kamek?! Will you?!" he squeaked.
