Sorry Mask, Louie's takin' over.

Who: Louie, Weavile
What: They happen upon each other and bake COOKIES.
Where: Dorm complex kitchen
When: October 8th
Warnings: C for Cookies, chocolate chip-y, crumbly, and crumby. Cool crazy cooking. Other things that start with C.

Louie, as usual, felt all too hungry today. However, the mentioning of candy all along the journal network piqued his sweet tooth in a certain sense, just not for candy itself. He had a craving for something chocolate-y to quell, but just what would he eat that would be satisfying enough?

HMMM. This was the problem. Once he reached the kitchen, he realized that he wasn't sure what to make. There were so many chocolate desserts that he could possibly make, and yet he couldn't make them all. This was a tough decision. He loved so many of the chocolate dishes he could make and plenty of them could kill his craving, but which one would he choose?

Thankfully for Louie, someone would be helping him with that decision.

Weavile was making his usual wandering rounds of the school. His stomach had been quietly growing, so he decided to grab a bite to eat. As he walked, the counselor happened to pass by the kitchen. He briefly glanced through the doorway. All of a sudden, he was hit with a cookie craving.

He frowned. Ever since a certain someone had introduced him to the deliciousness of magical microwave cookies, the Pokemon found himself have cookie urges. Even now, he still had the cravings every so often. The only solution was to quell the hunger.

Giving into a whim, Weavile decided to try and make his own cookies. Except that was a rather problematic idea as he didn't know the first thing about baking. So he entered the kitchen in hopes of finding a cookbook or recipe list.

Feeling someone's eyes on him, the counselor turned to look at the other. He recognized the face, but had difficulty coming up with a name. But he nodded in greeting, "Hello." Glancing around the room, he asked, "Do you know if there are any cookbooks in here?"

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-08 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thank you," Weavile smirked before heading to the shelf. He started searching through the titles for a desert specific book. Finally finding one, he pulled it out and flipped through the pages.

As he looked at the recipes, a small frown grew on his lips. He didn't know how to do any of these steps. Not to mention he didn't know how to handle many of the ingredients. This was looking to be more and more of a disaster. He let out a quiet, annoyed sound.

"Ah, yes," Weavile looked up. Had he really made such an obvious noise? He hoped rather that Louie just had an acute sense about these sorts of things. "I'm actually trying to bake cookies. Unfortunately I... don't really know anything about cooking."

He paused, considering his options. After a moment, he hesitantly asked, "If you aren't busy, would you mind helping me?"

A wonderful coincidence indeed! "Really? I would be very grateful. Thank you..." Weavile faded off, unsure of Louie's name. "My apologies, but I seem to be blanking on your name. I'm Weavile," he offered his hand for a shake.

"Sure," Weavile nodded. Turning around, he momentarily paused. Eggs were easy enough to find since those needed to be refrigerated. But where were the flour and sugar kept?

Shrugging, the counselor grabbed a container of eggs first. Then he went searching through the many cabinets. He finally found the bags and, grabbing one of each, placed the ingredients on the counter.

"I'm... not sure." Now that he thought about it, he didn't really know. All he knew was that he craved cookies. But what kind?

"Chocolate chips, I suppose." Those were a standard. Weavile couldn't help but feel adventurous. After all, here he was, making his own cookies with someone's help of course. "And... how about peanut butter chips? As long as you aren't allergic or anything."

Weavile watched quietly as Louie mixed together everything. He was starting to feel useless. But thankfully the other man gave him something else to do. Nodding, the counselor walked over and set the oven to the proper temperature. Once done, he returned to Louie's side. "Anything else?"

Nodding, Weavile looked over Louie's shoulder at the cookie cutters. There sure were a lot of different shapes and sizes. Some figures the counselor recognized. But there were plenty he didn't. "Any kind in particular that you suggest?" He spotted a few that caught his eye.

Weavile couldn't help but chuckle at the cookie cutter Louie choose. It looked very similar to a Caterpie or Weedle. That gave the counselor an idea about which one he should choose.

"Then I believe I'll use this one." He pulled out a cutter the shape of a Mudkip. "So, what next?"

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Looks easy enough," he smirked. Following Louie's example, Weavile placed the cutter on the dough and twisted it gently. Then he lifted up, making sure not to pull off the dough. "Like that?" The edges were a bit mushed, but it didn't look too bad.

Once the cookies were all cut up and put in the oven, Weavile smiled and folded his arms. "I really appreciate your help. It was fortunate that you were in here at the time. You're... the cooking teacher, right? I assume you spend much of your free time in the kitchen, then."

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
"I actually don't teach," he shook his head, chuckling. "I'm the guidance counselor. Though sometimes I play around with the thought of teaching a class. I can never decide on what sort of topic."

Smirking, he added, "I do enjoy sitting in on other people's classes. Most of them are very interesting. Even Blacky's class, in which I already know most of the information. I just find the fact that each person has unique teaching style to be intriguing."

Weavile could sense the other's hesitance. It seemed everything about Louie exuded an awkward and shy air. The way the blond spoke as well as his body language made the meekness quite clear.

"Thank you," he smiled. "I would like that a lot. Perhaps I will be able to learn how to cook more than just cookies."

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
"They look delicious," Weavile smiled. They also smelled delicious too. The counselor couldn't wait until they cooled. He noticed some of the more well done edges, but didn't pay them much mind.

After Louie tried the first cookie, Weavile took one for himself. Carefully biting into it, he could feel the chocolate and peanut butter chips oozing in his mouth. It was crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside and all kinds of delicious.

"They are, aren't they? We make a good team. Though I suppose you did most of the work," he admitted with a chuckle.

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Don't worry Louie, Weavile was quick to take seconds too. "I hope so. I unfortunately have found myself craving cookies every so often without really knowing how to make them. Perhaps after a few more times, I'll be able to bake them on my own. Until then, I hope you don't mind helping me."

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Thank you," Weavile replied. He meant that towards both the second offer to help as well as the offer of more cookies. "I suppose I'll have to bring some back to my office. Always a good idea to have a snack handy while doing paperwork."

[identity profile] midnitepsych.livejournal.com 2009-10-09 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Nodding, Weavile glanced around the kitchen. From a nearby counter, he grabbed a zipper storage bag. Then he put half of the cookies into the bag, sealing it tightly.

"I look forward to eating the rest of these. If I ever need help cooking or baking, I will be sure to ask for your assistance. Perhaps I will stop by your next class," he smiled. Giving a quick wave, the counselor left.
