A fairy turned into a fish! The lake is now SUPPOSED to be her sanctuary!

Who: Selene, Zelda, and whoever wants to see Selene fail at swimming and being a Zora! Thus, OPEN LOG!
What: Selene got turned into a Zora and Zelda took her to a lake to stay at for now to recooperate/breath water. She's trying to swim and adapt to this. Needless to say, she's not very good at it.
Where: The lake!
When: Saturday, October 3rd
Warnings: It all depends on who sees her.

[And there is a worried Bob that has suddenly appeared on the side of the lake behind them, floating.]

What's wrong?

*Um okay. First she got turned into a 'Zora', and now there's a floating lady here. Maybe she's a fairy? Some of the fairies back home like Ruby and such can float.

She tries to explain what happened, but it only comes up muffled and bubbled. Unless Bob can interpret it, being God and all, Zelda might have to explain this.*

[Zelda, upon realizing that Selene was perhaps the only Zora in existence that didn't know how to swim, took the opportunity to run back to her dorm and change into her bathing suit. Unfortunately, she didn't really think about how chilly it was going to be, but that would have to wait because TRANSLATORS are needed.]

O-oh, hello!

She's been turned into a creature called a Zora. I'm not entirely sure how, but they're naturally aquatic so she needs to stay in the lake for the time being. [Zelda tosses aside the towels she was carrying for herself.] Selene, are you all right?

[Anshu kneels down to the water's edge and watches Selene the Zora. She doesn't say anything because this creature is so fascinating as it is.]

*Selene nods in Zelda's direction, showing her that she was pretty alright, for the most part. Just... still a little uncomfortable due to the water in general. She wasn't used to this at all.

She also waved towards the newcomer. Hi there, Anshu!*

[Thinking]

Omigod, that is so weird. Do you know what caused this? [Pauses, dips her hand into the water, it's pretty cold] Bummer! Are Zoras alright with cold temperatures?

[Zelda is slowly trying to ease her way into the lake. It is not very successful, and she is only in maybe halfway up her calves.] Oh, ah...I don't. And...I'm sure the water doesn't feel as cold to her, but I'm not entirely certain.

[She turns back to Selene.] Are you cold?

*Selene says, "No, I am not~ The water actually feels quite lovely," but depending on how distorted the sound is from below the water's surface, it still might not be that legible. So as she says that, she shakes her head 'no'.*

Oh in that case, I think I will, like, totally join you! Let me just switch to my water plate...

[Bob takes out a bag with what looks like about a dozen or so bracelets and takes out a blueish one, slapping it on her arm. Instantly, her eyes and outfit change colors. She then turns into her Pokémon form, and starts walking on the water as if it is the most natural thing in the world]

[Beep beep you all have a collect call telepathic message from Bob, do you accept this?]

Do you need help with swimming lessons?

*Selene accepts this ~~although she is VERY VERY weirded out by Bob walking on water like some kind of Jesus-ly creature~~.

She pretty much says yes, although garbled, and nods in return. She demonstrated by trying to swim upward, but before she could even paddled more than a few times, she sunk to the lakebed.*

[Oh. Oh well fine, Bob, you show-off. Zelda is just going to continue inching her way into the lake oh GEEZ it's cold.]

[Anshu sniffed and sunk further into her crouch, watching the others try doing swimming. Judging by the temperature of the water and the air, she wasn't ready to go jumping in. For that matter, she wasn't going to take off the blanket that was wrapped around her.]

First things first.

[Bob lifts Selene out of the water, so she is floating to the top]

You'll need to move your feet much faster. However, it has been centuries since I last saw Zoras. I think Zelda would be better suited at this task than me

[Hi Zelda I am looking at you now]

Would you like me to make the water of the lake a little bit hotter?

Can you do that? [Zelda is about waist-deep now and it looks like she is kind of freezing.] I don't want to cause harm to anything in the lake.

Don't worry. This will only be a small portion around you.

[~~And then Arceus peed into the lake~~ The water around Zelda starts to get warm. It is a bit like a shield, going around her, like wearing a frog suit.]

[O-oh. Oh that's actually pretty nice. Now she can fully get in the water and freestyle her way over to Selene. She reaches under for the girl's hands and pulls her up to the surface in order to better give instruction.]

You really don't know how to swim?

*Oh hey there, her head is above water so she can talk now. Awesome.*

I do not. I have never learned how to swim before, for I do not like the water at all. I suppose now is a better time to learn~

I think you'll find it will come to you much more naturally in your current state.

[She starts treading water, encouraging Selene to mirror her movements.]

Now, you can leave the water, but only for short periods of time, all right? And seeing as how you've been without it for more than a day, you should probably stay here for at least a little while. Will you need me to bring you anything in the meantime?

*She slowly follows Zelda, nearly sinking for a few moments, but she managed to stay afloat due to holding on to her friend.*

Ah, I do hope it will come to me a little more naturally~ I find swimming to be very difficult for me, usually.

Oh, no, no, you will not need to bring me anything~ Although... oho, perhaps I will have to eat. *Well durrrr.*

[At this point Zelda is debating the best way to explain swimming to someone who cannot swim.]

Here, watch me. It's...like how frogs swim, if you've ever seen that?

[And she pushes of into a sort of breaststroke.]

Ah, I have seen that~ My friend back at home has frog-like creatures in her water island in the sky. They are very adorable, much like the Payapaya I have at my home, and...

*Oh, yeah, swimming. Woops, she forgot. ~~Stupid rambling.~~ She attempted to do just as Zelda did. Normally, in her regular form, she'd quickly sink or just fail at it, but in this form, she seemed to do better than that. She nearly sank a couple of times, but managed to keep herself afloat.

Something still felt off, though. Blech, this wouldn't be enough to make her want to swim when she changed back to normal.*

Am I doing alright?

[Wow, Selene, you officially win the prize for most awkward Zora ever. Zelda paddles back to you and takes your hand.]

Oh~! *She clenches her hand onto Zelda's, now being able to swim a little better now that she had something to hold on to. It'd keep her from sinking.* My, thank you~ Do you swim often?

[Swimming looks hard. Anshu hopes she will never have to do it, and she pulls her blanket tighter around her body.]

*Skull Kid is hiding in a tree somewhere, finding all of this absolutely hilarious.*

Bonechill had decided, since it had cooled down quite a bit in the past few days, that he could start going out of his air conditioned room more often. A stroll next to the lake should be nice.

Oh hey there, Bonechill. Selene noticed you from beneath the lake. She didn't really like swimming much, so she merely scaled the side of the lake and popped out from the water. Oh hey, Bonechill, there's a fairy-turned-Zora staring at you with big black eyes.

"Ah, Mister Bonechill. Hello~"

Bonechill stopped in his tracks and turned to see a fish-person looking back at him. Was this fish-person the one who had addressed him? Why did that voice sound familiar..?

"Good god, Selene?!" Bonechill gave Selene a good look up and down.

"What happened?"

"Oh, goodness, well, it is such a long story," Selene spoke. Oh god, Bonechill, she was ready to ramble. That was always a fun thing to listen to, right? Right?

"I was willing to go for one of my usual escapades to the library~ Oho, I heard one of my favorite authors recently released a best-seller, so I was absolutely dying to read it. They make such wonderful books and their choice of words is put together in such a lovely way~

... Oh, yes! What had happened, yes~ On my way, something had hit me and glowed around me. I believe it must have been some sort of magic that had turned me into a fish. Zelda had informed me that I had been transformed into a Zora, a kind of walking and speaking fish~ It is such a shame, for I do not like the water very much, and..."

Blah blah blah blah blah.

God this child could talk. Why, if nobody stopped her, she could probably talk for a whole day! She could even talk Hagnes to death...

"Yes, so someone cursed you?" he asked, interrupting her fascinating story.

"Indeed~ So now I must remain in this lake and only leave it in short intervals," Selene spoke, her legs kicking to keep herself afloat at the edge of the lake. At least she had the surrounding ground to lean on to prevent her from sinking, as well.

"I am still very unsure of who must have done it."

Hmmm. So there are others who use dark magic here? Bonechill must look into this.

"Do you know of any other magic users in this school?"

"Well, I can use magic as well as Rhys," Selene spoke. "Miss Rosalina did, too, but I have not seen her lately."

She sighed a little. She did miss Rosalina plenty. She was such a sweet woman!

"Neither of them seem capable of dark magic such as this."

How Bonechill knows what Rhys and Rosalina are like, the world may never know.

"Ah, that is a shame~ I have once tried it under Rhys' teaching for magic class, and I had failed. Perhaps Rhys does know how to use it?~ Oho, now I wonder~"

"Are you implying he might be the one who ambushed you?"

"Oh, goodness no. I do not think he would do such a thing~ I am very unsure as to who must have~ Do you know anyone who might have?" Selene doubted it, but you never know. Maybe King Boo did it? She didn't know.

"I'm afraid I am not too familiar with all the people here."

"Ah~ I suppose I will have to find out for myself then," Selene nodded, and yet she still maintained a smile on her face. "I still thank you for attempting to help me, though."

"Yes, well, best of luck. Try not to catch a cold, it is quite chilly this time of year." Bonechill turned and continued his walk down the path.

"Alright, thank you, Mr. Chase~" Selene waved as he walked off before she splashed back into the water. That was all!
