Tactics and Strategy with a hint EVA.

Characters: EVA. And students!
What: Tactis and Strategy class.
Where: Hawke's classroom.
When: Backdated to Thursday. September 17th.
Warnings: A HUGE WALL OF TEXT why do i write so much

[EVA's not the type to leave any traces of herself having been anywhere; Hawke's classroom is its usual creepy-clean.

Underneath each desk is a cardboard box. On top of each desk there's a colored card and a small, brightly coloredguns. Half the class has been given a red card and gun, the other half has blue cards/guns.

If one were to open the cardboard box, inside, they would find three different outfits, a costume make-up kit and a thin booklet.

EVA stands at the head of the class. She seems a bit restless. Or anxious. Once the class seems mostly full, she begins!]

I'm EVA. [Nod.] I'm the librarian, but today I'll be your Tactics and Strategy teacher.

As I'm sure you've already noticed, underneath your desks, there's a box. Open them now, if you'd like. Inside, you'll find camouflage uniforms and face paint. You'll be using these in today's activity.

Each uniform is going to be more effective in a certain type of terrain. There are three outfits in the box. The first is a leaf camouflage; ideal for grassy areas, around bushes, et cetera. The next one ought to be a tiger stripe. It's commonly used in wooded areas... like forests or jungles. The last should be the splitter, for urban areas.

The face paint is going to be used to help your camouflage. Of course, it's not necessary, but it will most likely be helpful. The booklet included in the box includes instructions on applying your own face paint.

[In the booklet, there are instructions for woodland "most effective in forest environments", splitter "best used for indoor or urban operations", black "best in dark areas, against black ground, or in places like swamps", and Oyama "the same face paint that the females in Kabuki theater or Geisha wear".]

You've also been given toy guns loaded with foam darts. You've all been given unlimited ammo. [She taps her forefinger to her left temple before continuing.]

Now, I'm sure you're wondering- or have already figured out- what the cards on your desks are for. We'll be taking everything outside and pairing off into two teams; Red and Blue.

It's up to you to decide what camouflage you're going to wear and where you're going to station yourself. Choosing camouflage that blends in with your surroundings will help you conceal yourself more effectively. There will be two areas that we'll be using today: an urban one and a more forest-like one. Leave one of those two areas and you're out. You're dead.

Now grab your stuff, and meet the rest of the class outside.

[She leaves, making sure there's at least three or four students behind her first. The class meets again in a shady area just outside the classrooms.]

Each student is given one life. You have one life. If somebody shoots you, you're dead. If you've been killed, return here. The team who kills all members of the other team first wins. Losers will be asked to return their guns. The winners are allowed to keep them.

Use your guns to shoot one another and differentiate between teams, use the camouflage to blend in with your surroundings. Also, don't forget that anything that moves will stand out to your enemies. If you just stand up and run around like an idiot, you're bound to be spotted.

Rules... I'm sure I don't need to tell you- do not physically hurt one another. Other than that, everything is pretty much fair game.

Oh, and one last thing! When you're finished with your boxes, I'd think twice about just tossing them aside. They may prove to be useful.

[She winks. Then begins helping organizing the two teams.]

*In tiger stripe camo and all, here is a Nester, waiting for faitin'. He looks around and waits to find some targets.*

*If Nester listened hard, he could barely hear a strange sound nearby...*

*Quietly emerging from the water nearby, just out of Nester's sight, was Jake, holding his gun.*

*Jake doesn't say a word. The music just gets louder as he takes aim and fires a foam dart at the back of Nester's head...*

*Well, good luck, Lash, because you have a teammate down. The dart hit him square in the head.*

Ow! Hey! No fair! *He glanced around, frowned, and left the area. Looks like he definitely lost.*

*And with that, Jake sank back into the pond from whence he came, silently. The music slowly began to fade...*
