Military Protocol

((There was a note attached to Surge’s door saying to meet at the field. The field has been designed so that it has numerous types of terrain such as mountainous, tall grass, and so on. The one constant is that on each kind of terrain, there are plenty of hiding spaces. There is also a layer of snow upon the ground.))

Alright class, listen up. Today we’re gonna do something a little different. Instead of a normal lecture like I’ve been doin’, we’re gonna have a little test of sorts. Oh don’t start whinin’. You’ll like this one, I promise.

We’re goin' to utilize everything we’ve learned up to this point and apply it out on the battlefield. That means you’ll be wagin' war against your fellow classmates. The class is goin' to be split into two teams. It’ll be up to you guys to decide on a leader or leaders, a strategy to defeat your opponent, and so on. Remember what I’ve taught you so far and you’ll have an advantage over your enemy.

Now since it’d probably be unethical or SOMETHING to supply you with live ammunition, we’re not goin' to use conventional weapons. I’d probably get in trouble if any of you got hurt anyway. So instead what we’re gonna use are paintball guns. For safety’s sake, no headshots. If I catch any of you aimin’ for someone’s head, you’re gonna be disqualified. To make this as real as possible, unless you get hit in the chest, keep fightin’. If you get hit in an arm or leg, act as if you lost that limb, but continue to play. Again, if I catch anyone violatin’ those rules, you’re out of the game. Granted if you get shot in both legs, you’re a sitting duck, but if you can still fire a gun, do so.

The first team to defeat all the other team’s members wins. The winnin’ team will get extra points for their grade. Teamwork and followin’ the rules are also ways to get extra points. But other than that, you each get your own grade. So if someone decides to defect half-way through the game, that person may lose teamwork points, but can still get a passable grade.

Now that we’ve settled all of that, get your weapons and your padding and let’s play! You’ll get fifteen minutes to plan your strategy, claim your ground, and then it’s game time. So head out!
