FIGHTO!
Characters: Blastoise, Charmeleon, Any spectators who feel like seeing this
What: Good ol'fashioned Green Team brawl! CHAR WANTS HISE-PEEN REPUTATION AS STRONGEST TEAM POKEMON BACK.
Where: The generic battle stadium in the school
When: Saturday afternoon
Rating: PG13 for EPIC GREEN TEAMBONDING TIEMS VIOLENCE
Feh.
Although Blastoise never took Charmeleon seriously on anything, the turtle was ALWAYS inwardly serious about any battle...even those with Char's. Although his last scrap with the hotheaded lizard was pathetic and short...Blastoise had a small gut feeling that this one may last longer.
Nonchalantly standing around the stadium, he streched a little and waited patiently for Char to arrive.

Nonchalantly standing around the stadium, he streched a little and waited patiently for Char to arrive.

"Hey, fatass!" He called out to Blastoise as he entered. "Ready to get your ass kicked?

Hell, even though he always got beaten up, the kid was a toughy. Anyone could see that...but would never admit it due to Char's attitude problem. But Blastoise was not here to judge Char on his personality; Blastoise looked down at him and just smiled.
"Whatever you say punk. Have at me!"

Bulba leaned forward a bit in anticipation, silently wishing that they both did their best.

"Uhmff!"
He grunted a little at the impact but grabbed Char's body and bashed him with his head a few times before bumping him off.
no subject
"So what's going on, Bulba?"
He was always one for surprise entrances, although he kept his voice fairly low as not to distract his other two Pokemon from their fight.
He let out a grin "My boys are are doing a little spar, eh?"
no subject
He scooted over a little so his trainer could take a seat if he wanted, looking back at the fight with a nod and a little grin. "Mhm. They're at it again, like usual."
no subject
"Nah, I'll stand here. Let's see how this pans out..."
With a confident grin he watched his two Pokemon scuffle, keeping a sharp eye on each.

Even if his countless brawls with Blastoise had never gotten Charmeleon anywhere, but he'd learned something from each one. Attacking that hard shell covering his torso was useless; even if he could score a few gouges into it, he'd never been able to pierce its solid defenses. Blastoise's exposed limbs and head were the places to aim for when he wanted to hurt him, which was tricky when they could be pulled into the shell at any given moment.
If he was attacking from the front, it was important to put as much momentum behind the hits as possible. Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise... it didn't make a difference. Get them on their back and you have them, even if it's just for a second. Again, Char threw himself at Blastoise for another head-on attack, this time with his head lowered and ready for a headbutt of his own.

'What is he thinking?' Green thought with his brow lowered 'It better be worth it...'

It was again, useless to dodge things. Blastoises were never built for speed anyway. So he used the opportunity to use a surf attack. Waves of water gushed around him as Blastoise lunged head on.
no subject
It was risky, reckless, and maybe a little stupid... but the fatass would never see this coming. Charmeleon pushed off the ground at the last second and cocked his fist back. A sudden crackle of energy around his claws was the only warning given before he slammed his fist down at Blastoise's head in a Thunderpunch, throwing all the force he could into the blow even as the Surf attack hit his exposed tail flame with a loud hiss.
no subject
The approach was still reckless, but the effort impressed Green and he nodded in approval with a smirk.
'Watch yourself, you hothead...you're dangerous when you have your wits about you.' He thought to himself.
no subject
He definitely did not see it coming. Blastoise had a small instinct something like this might happen sooner or later...just not that sooner. That red lizard was pretty smart wasn't he?
Hell, it hurt ALOT. His chin sizzled a little and he probably SLIGHTLY got his jaw displaced. Eh. Nothing like another punch would fix that. His face seemed more annoyed than pained.
As soon as the attack had connected, Blastoise let the impact throw him backward, withdrawing into his shell to do a backflip and right himself. As he did so, he bit down HARD on Char's fist - which still had the remnants of the thunderpunch's sparks and it kinda hurt - and spun rapidly and threw him further out.
no subject
He shook his head and watched his trusty Blastoise easily counter the blow. Such grit in the face of a type weakness is further proof of his superior defense. If Charmeleon was to succeed in this battle he had to play smart.
Green wasn't ready to place his bets on that just yet.

Char wasn't going to let Blastoise keep much distance between the two of them for long, though. Not when his fire was next to useless and Blastoise had those cannons on his side. He'd been hoping Thunderpunch would have had more of an impact than that, but he couldn't let that sway him. Again, Charmeleon charged in, but this time, he ducked away at the last second, circling around him in a dodge roll. No sooner was he behind Blastoise than he was on his feet and climbing onto Blastoise' back, claws scrabbling against the familiar notches scarring Blastoise's shell in an attempt to gain a hold.

Blastoise withdrew into his shell and spun around, spurting water out from where his arms, legs and head were. The purpose was not to hose Char, but to see how the punk would react to his seemingly useless move. This move also lifted them up the ground, the impact of the water being strong enough to carry them both up in the air.

Just sitting on his back and waiting was about the dumbest idea ever, though; Charmeleon had to be ready to abandon his hard-earned perch the second it looked like Blastoise would end up on his back, or he'd be in for the smushing of a lifetime. Charmeleon didn't have the patience to wait, anyway. So... huh. Metal conducts electricity. Those metal cannons might not actually come out of his skin or whatever, but they had to lead to wherever Blastoise stores all his water, right? That conducted electricity, too. Another warning crackle as Char raised his fist once more, this time striking the barrel of a water cannon with his Thunderpunch.
(For the record, HOLY SHIT OW punching metal hurt.)
no subject
Hurrghhhh....
He heard the dull clunk of Char's fist meeting
INVINCIBLEcannons and the crackle of his thunder punch. Too bad it really did not connect to his body...it was part of the strange mysterious shell, and did not affect him too much. But damn, it kinda hurt.He still was spurting water out to see whether he could get up to a good height. After a bit, he sensed that this was a perfect way to use his weight as a nice weapon.
So Blastoise's head and limbs appeared from the shell and the water jets stopped. Then he whirled back and fell down HARD on his back, with Char more or less square dab in the middle.
A giant cloud of soggy dust appeared from this novel way to body slam someone.

But Charmeleon had been expecting Blastoise to pull a move like this. How else was Blastoise supposed to get him off his back, right? As soon as he felt Blastoise starting to tip, he kicked off his shell. No sooner had he hit the ground than he rolled out of the way, narrowly avoiding being crushed underneath Blastoise's formidable bulk.
For the most part, anyway. Charmeleon slowly glanced over his shoulder, to where his tail (flame and all) was pinned beneath Blastoise. A moment's silence while it sunk in, and then... the loudest string of curses Char had ever uttered to date.

Bulbasaur cringed at the sound and covered his ears. The shouts weren't that loud, but there were a whole lot of things coming out of Char's mouth that Bulba was sure he never wanted to be repeating. (He was pretty sure there were some new ones this time!)

1) STAY THERE and make Char just drive himself nuts
2) Move aside and continue battling
After thinking a bit, Blastoise jumped out, inwardly madly chuckling at the poor damn fool of a Charmeleon with a tail tip on a crazy angle. He just step aside to let Char gather his bearings
attack and scratch the shit out of his shell againno subject
OH GOD.
Charmeleon had endured some very painful beatdowns in the past. He'd also been crushed underneath Blastoise a couple times. But his tail was a very sensitive area, considering the precious flame kept on its tip, and it was currently looking VERY VERY BROKEN OH GOD. That seemed to have taken all the fight out of Char for the time being, and he simply took a moment trying to recover in the only way his animal instincts knew how: curling up, cradling his throbbing tail, and letting out a low, miserable wounded-animal snarl.
no subject
So he decided to ask - instead of getting his face totalled during his attempt to help.
"Kid...kid...need ta go to the nurse?"
no subject
Charmeleon slowly uncurled and got back to his feet, though the flame on his newly-dented tail tip was wobbling erratically. "S'just my tail. Ain't nothin'. I can still fight."
no subject
Blastoise now decided to minimize the use of water attacks, just for the sake of Char. Well, if that punk noticed a thing, he'd yell back at Blast for holding back and then Blastoise can do whatever right?
So Blastoise cracked his neck a bit to relieve the tension and took on a defensive stance again.
no subject
He took a moment to psych himself up, then shot forward in yet another brash head-on charge.
no subject
He stomped once, and then he let out a series of decent-sized rocks from the ground. Then using his body, he slammed forward to unleash his rock slide attack.
Heck, Char was not the only one who learned a new move while the fiery punk was off to Sinnoh.
no subject
Especially when one of those rocks managed to land right on his tail, of all things. Even if Charmeleon had been able to get back up again when it had first been broken, he'd had more than enough punishment this time around; all he really had it in him to do was scream, hurl the rock off his tail and curl up once more into a little ball of agony.
And swear under his breath. Nonstop. Bulba ought to be thankful he couldn't hear some of these colorful phrases.
no subject
Ah well, there goes the punk.

Despite all those years (?) Char was persistently chasing after his tail. Or something (His tail was not worth chasing honestly). Anyway...Char probably needed to recover somewhere. Since he adamantly had said he didn't have to be there, might as well carry him...like Blastoise always did...somewhere safe. Probably his room. His spider/pet/thing would protect him from anyone hurting him right?
So he just lifted him carefully and just sauntered off; Char can scratch and punch all he wanted, but the turtle could care less about the lizard's pride or whatever. Besides, the students were all busy doing...whatever they did.
"...G'work."

He wanted to struggle. He wanted to rage and scream and spit fire, snap his claws against that damned armor, punch until his knuckles bled, blame Blastoise for his failure and hate that he was always so much better somehow. Green and Bulba had been watching -- this was just another reminder that Charmeleon fell short.
He wanted to struggle... but he didn't. He simply lay curled in Blastoise' grasp, staring at the wavering flame on the end of his throbbing tail so he wouldn't have to look at Blastoise. He was quiet for a long while, but finally, he turned his head away from Blastoise and mumbled something that just might have been a "You too."
