Marine has Katrina "fortune-tell" her where her ship is.
Characters: Marine, Katrina, possibly open to anyone who wants to help them look if Marine and Katrina actually take the whole 'searching' crap outside.
What: Marine goes to Katrina for a fortune to help locate her missing ship after the ruckus all over campus somehow displaced it.
Where: Katrina's fortune-telling place (dorm room?)
When: Monday, mid-day-ish
Rating: G. Katrina wouldn't curse in front of l'il Marine, I know it!
((OOC: I can't get it to add Marine in the tags. WTF, LJ?!))
Marine rushed over to Katrina's room, not stopping to catch her breath. This was her baby she was talking about! She just HAD to find it immediately! All the hard work and time she'd put into this one... was it all down the tubes? She had to know... NOW. Breathing could wait 'til later.
"MS. KATRINA!!" Marine burst into the room, not bothering to knock or perform any other common curtesy. She was completely out of breath, gasping for air between high-pitched outbursts. The impact from the door slamming open caused another one of Katrina's decorative crystal balls to roll off its base and shatter on the ground. "I'm here!! What do we need to do?!"

The impact from the door slamming open caused another one of Katrina's decorative crystal balls to roll off its base and shatter on the ground. "I'm here!! What do we need to do?!"

"Again? Really?" Katrina mumbled, as she watched the crystal fall and shatter. It had taken her hours to clean out all the shards from the last time.
She then turned her attention to Marine. "Well, first, you must calm yourself. I need a calm atmosphere to get any sort of reading on whether we will find your ship. Now. Quieting breaths. Find your center. In," Katrina breathed in, "and out," back out again.

"Oy," she grumbled, doubled over while trying her best to breathe normally, "I think... I'm calm now! .... OH YEAH, sorry..." Marine remembered he last trip to Katrina's and exaggeratedly tiptoed over to her chair.
no subject
"Thank you, Marine. Now..." She said, in a manner that indicated she was all business. "I have decided to use my crystal ball for this reading. I should be able to get more of an exact result for this."
She leaned back and let Marine look at the crystal ball. The seamless blue and purple glass gleamed in the candle-light.
"Now, are you ready?..Focus your energy into the ball. Concentrate...Concentrate..."
"Keee hehha mo atata.
"Keee haha mo ataratata."
"Loo-ta manako batata!"
"YEEEEEEeeeeeeeee!"

"What does it tell you?" she whispered.
no subject
"A broken music box,
buried in the backyard.
Waiting to be dug up.
Calling out to be found..."
"Hmmm..." Katrina cocked her head to the side in thought. "It is close...Closer then you think perhaps, if the vision is any indication..."
no subject
"Er... what exactly did the vision tell you?" she asked.
no subject
"Well," she said, her thought still resting on her lips, "nothing specific...but if I had to guess, I would say that your ship is probably still on school grounds."

Marine rubbed her temples. Her head was throbbing with stress and worry. "Cheers, Ms. Katrina! I hope your advice will help me at least salvage what might not have been completely destroyed!"
After standing up, gripping her chair for a moment while suffering from a head rush, Marine solumnly slinked back outside Katrina's room, deflated but still determined to find the remains of her best piece of work to date. On her way out, she flipped a coin over her shoulder, which came close to Katrina's fortune telling table, but missed by about a foot, causing the coin to bounce around and land underneath a very low-lying dresser.

Katrina watched the coin land under the dresser. Between this and the crystal, she knew exactly how she was going to spend the rest of the afternoon: Picking things up off the floor.
With a groan and some muttered curses, she got down on her hands and knees and begain picking the glass out of the carpet.
