Who: You!
What: The Island of the Ancients
When: August 19th Onward
Where: ADVENTURE ISLAND
Warnings: Who knows?
After several days of spitting out monsters, the remnants of the subspace explosion spit out something else entirely.

The island, which is easily accessible by pretty much anything or anyone that can fly, floats almost directly over the school. It's (of course) crawling with subspace monsters, but there are ruins to explore. The island even has a bunker system of its own, which can be reached through tunnel entrances on the surface.
And it's here, perhaps, where the answers can be found.
((Catch-all log for any and all island exploration, mystery solving, and (perhaps) closing the rift! Please refer to the event post for more details, and feel free to contact a mod if you have any questions.))

EXPLORATION
He wasn't certain what their plans were from there on out; he looked up inquisitively at the rather tall robot suit containing a person he wasn't very familiar with.
"What next, ma'am?"

"Professor Hector's research lab is of course a goal, but I'm personally curious about these ancient ruins." It would seem handy to take someone like Pulse along to record and help analyze mission data as it happened. She would be a poor example of a bounty hunter if she didn't at least keep tabs on who was coming and going in Smash Academy. She knew of Pulse but, that said, Samus was not the most social butterfly and was fine keeping her personal life at a distance. That went for other's personal lives too.
Despite a fondness of ROB and innate urge to
BIG SISTERbe protective of him, By now Samus knew ROB to be plenty capable of taking care of himself. If help was needed it would be only one burst transmission away."Let's split up. Pulse you come with me. We'll rendezvous back here at 16:00 hours."
Any objections, robots?

Perhaps he was more concerned for the lady in the suit. He didn't know much about her, but considering how she seemed to need that suit for this situation, it was likely she would be somewhat vulnerable without it. And Pulse, who destroyed robots for a living, knew how fragile they could be.
Not that he actually thought ROB was fragile or anything, though. Plus, ROB was on familiar territory, here to locate a lab belonging to his creator. Who knew what was inside those ruins, though?
He's sticking with the lady in the suit.
"Yes, ma'am."
He dipped his head in a quick nod.

Without much further word she lead the way, calmly cutting a swath through tall grass broken only by
pokemonvelociraptor tailscobbled stone and trees. Soon the trees became more and more dense until then went from grasslands to forest. It was quiet. No monsters yet. Samus was quiet too, and not much of a conversationalist, alas, and only glancing behind her or to the side to make sure Pulse wasn't lagging behind. At least she seemed to know where she was going.

However, there wasn't much around to trigger his electro-sensitivity outside of the circuitry in Samus's suit. Because of this, he preferred not to follow Samus too closely, attempting to keep enough distance where her suit wouldn't interfere with his senses, but not too much that he didn't lose sight of her in the dense forest.
