rose tint my world
Who: Jin, anyone!
What: Starting to understand just what it is that makes Smash Academy so "special".
Where: Around campus
When: The week of June 11th. Lemme know when/where they meet up.
Warnings: That's up to you!
So, he was here.
As he wandered around the vibrant green courtyard, soft breeze blowing through the trees, hands behind his back, Jin could only think one thing.
Shit.
In his haste, he had taken the first opportunity that had become available to him. Sure, he needed to get out of Ikaruga after his encounter with Ragna, and he needed to do it fast. Perhaps there were other things he could have done than become a teacher in a school full of misplaced freaks, though. He would never know at this point.
So, if you see a thin man with shaggy blonde hair and soft features wandering through your area of the school this week, feel free to introduce yourself. Give him a good old fashioned Smash Academy welcome.
After all, Jin had committed quite a few things that could be considered sins in his life so far. And hell is other people, right?

Friday the 15th
"Good morning!" he chimed, breaking into a warm smile and pausing his advance across the lawn. "Lovely weather we're having, wouldn't you agree?"
no subject
"I... It's a bit sunny for my tastes, honestly."
no subject
Enough about weather, then. Who was this fair stranger in the courtyard all alone? His smile returned. "Um, I've never seen you around before... I'm Rhys! It's nice to meet you."
no subject
"Jin Kisaragi. I just arrived. I'll be teaching. You're a faculty member?"

The way Rhys was looking at Jin, you'd think he wanted him to tag along. A lot.
no subject
"Alright."
no subject
Rhys waited for Jin to catch up so that he wasn't leading too far ahead of him. He was all kinds of curious about this new teacher and wished to better acquaint himself with him. "So... Jin, was it? Where did you come from?"
no subject
"Jin Kisaragi, yes. As for where I hail from, it's far from here."
no subject
no subject
"I'd prefer not to go into it at this moment. If you don't mind."
After all, he had no idea where Rhys was from, or if it was anywhere near Ikaruga.

no subject
"No matter."
He turned back around to face the new surroundings.
"So, this is your office?"
no subject
He led the way wordlessly to the infirmary, where the door was already wide open, like it always was. The lighting was bright and cheery, and fans were humming to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. On the far side of the room were a decent number of cots, each with their own privacy curtains. The entirety of the sick ward stretched along those cots, making the room an extreme rectangle, but it was spacey. Just ahead was a compact-looking office room that was more suited for deskwork and the like. A counter with a sink and cabinets was to their immediate right.
"Well, here we are! Thank goodness things have been slow today. That means less people are getting hurt around here."
no subject
"It is summer. I'm sure you'll be back in business as soon as classes start, no?"
no subject
He paused briefly. "And unfortunately, they are quite common at this school..."
no subject
"Good thing I have an effective immune system..."
