rose tint my world
Who: Jin, anyone!
What: Starting to understand just what it is that makes Smash Academy so "special".
Where: Around campus
When: The week of June 11th. Lemme know when/where they meet up.
Warnings: That's up to you!
So, he was here.
As he wandered around the vibrant green courtyard, soft breeze blowing through the trees, hands behind his back, Jin could only think one thing.
Shit.
In his haste, he had taken the first opportunity that had become available to him. Sure, he needed to get out of Ikaruga after his encounter with Ragna, and he needed to do it fast. Perhaps there were other things he could have done than become a teacher in a school full of misplaced freaks, though. He would never know at this point.
So, if you see a thin man with shaggy blonde hair and soft features wandering through your area of the school this week, feel free to introduce yourself. Give him a good old fashioned Smash Academy welcome.
After all, Jin had committed quite a few things that could be considered sins in his life so far. And hell is other people, right?

June 15, morning, somewhere outside (CREATIVE PRO™)
Chili, too, was new to Smash Academy. As such, he was expecting to do a lot of campus exploring over the next few days.
He'd arrived in a pretty good mood. Even though he didn't want to admit it, he was happy that his brother Cress came along with him to join the school; that way, he wouldn't be alone. What he didn't expect was to be assigned to a different room when he was sure he was going to have to share it with someone he didn't even know... What if they didn't get along? Why couldn't he just share the room with his brother? Wouldn't that make more sense? It all left him feeling very upset the next morning, and the fact that Cress was acting like it was no big deal made it worse. He didn't want to see him right now.
That was why he was adventuring off on his own, Pansear drowsily perching atop his head. He noticed Jin and wondered to himself if this guy was going to be a student or teacher... Oh, shoot, did he notice him staring at him? He wasn't sure, but it was better to be safe rather than sorry.
"Hi!" he chirped.
somewhere outside is the most beautiful part of the campus
"Hello," He responded, clipped.
ok good i think so too
"I'm Chili," he began, smiling as though all of his troubles had been stored away. "And I'm new here! I'm gonna be a student next year. So, who are you?"

"Jin Kisaragi. I will be teaching, likewise."

He imagined himself looking pretty cool with a sword or something. Something... traditional. Right? His mental image definitely wasn't spot-on, but it still made him look cool.

June 12th, evening, parking lot
He stood there, next to a large, gorgeous motorcycle, one that likely didn't belong to anyone in particular (maybe someone curious just initiating a school tour). Its orange and yellow hues gave off that it was certainly not his own, as clearly Shadow would opt for a black and red color scheme, akin to his pelt.
Despite that, he seemed very fascinated, tail swishing from side-to-side as he examined it. He muttered soft, eloquent words under his breath, much like, "Fascinating," and, "Stunning..."
Yeah, he was clearly very into it.
Was there anyone else in the area up to looking at cool bikes? Like, say, a Jin, perhaps...?

Despite the fact that the strange, small Beastkind Jin had spoken to on the journal network was standing right there, the man found himself drifting closer and closer. The only thing Jin loved more than disliking other people was motorcycles. And this one was beautiful. Not vintage, like he had a preference for, but beautiful nonetheless.
The only acknowledgement he gave Shadow was after he had already sidled quietly to the hedgehog's side.
"Yours?"

Shadow flinched subtly at first, an ear swiveling to the man next to him in case he makes any funny moves. So far, he seemed to be relatively harmless, but he could never be too sure. Some... strange faces have shown up here, that much is certain, some with power he knew little of.
It was better to be safe instead of sorry. He took one step away from Jin defensively, keeping him out of his personal space bubble (it is quite a sizable bubble), and responded.
"Not at all. I am only observing it."
He looked down upon it, still highly aware of the man beside him, instincts on edge.
"... It is a very nice bike."

"If I'd have known there was room, I would have brought at least one of my own."
He had left them all back at the Kisaragi estate. Knowing them, they were probably sold off by now.

Shadow's tail flicked behind him, an involuntary movement of curiosity, if Jin proved to be observant enough to witness it. Inquisitive eyes peered up slightly at him, ears a little more perked than they were moments ago.
"You have multiple bikes then."
How interesting. And oh, how he'd long to see them all.

Friday the 15th
"Good morning!" he chimed, breaking into a warm smile and pausing his advance across the lawn. "Lovely weather we're having, wouldn't you agree?"
no subject
"I... It's a bit sunny for my tastes, honestly."
no subject
Enough about weather, then. Who was this fair stranger in the courtyard all alone? His smile returned. "Um, I've never seen you around before... I'm Rhys! It's nice to meet you."

"Jin Kisaragi. I just arrived. I'll be teaching. You're a faculty member?"

Maybe the 13th or something; PARKING LOTTO!
It was perhaps a little too warm outside... and this became more and more evident as she passed a hose and sudsy sponge over her considerably advanced looking machine. This particular day seemed to be unusually hot and in short time, Samus found herself envious of her own task. So she did the only sensible thing:
Strip down to her skivvies and continue washing her bike, undeterred.
Much better.

Yes, White Snake just started playing in the background. It was quite exceptional, at least in Samus's opinion. Her favorite pet project was perhaps one of the few things Samus would be openly proud of. The machine very obviously had a lot of custom work done to it and looked something like this with tints of this by now. It also sported it's fair share of implied history; weathered scuffs, scratches and maybe a bullet hole or two along the hull if you looked closely. Samus thought they added something a charm.
Speaking of charming... she responded to the cough with a casual raise of her head, then a raise of her eyebrow. He looked awfully familiar, though she couldn't quite place it. Her stare, for that reason, maybe lingered a little longer than it should have.
"Can I help you?" She dunked the sponge into the bucket, seemingly oblivious or seemingly uncaring about her current attire... or lack thereof.

However... there was something about her. It made it somewhat easier to bestow a compliment upon her.
"Your motorcycle. A fine specimen."

"I am. I used to collect them, vintage. Where did you obtain yours? It's like nothing I've ever seen before."
almost read that as "Jin placed his own hands in her pants pockets."
