In which Nabooru became the worst influence ever.

Who: Nabooru, you, you, you, some more you's, oh - maybe you, too
When: Oct. 14 - Evening ~ Late Night
What: It's a shindig. No, seriously. Nabs wanted everyone to get together for drinks. (And she's inconspicuously trying to force Byrne into being more sociable.) And by everyone, we do mean everyone of age.
Where: This... here tavern in FDC. No, not the super nice one. Let's just say it's a tavern and leave it at that.
Warnings: Nabooru's nose is a warning.


It was going to be like her moment of glory (I couldn't resist). Of course, she'd had plans of putting everything together beforehand, but after what Bob had told her, Nabooru thought there was no time like the present. The Goddess of the Sand had asked for her. Nabooru knew it was going to be a rather difficult trip. The least she could do before she had to follow through with it was to get smashed.

And it had been so long since she had, too.

Sometime. Any time. Byrne was going to be around. Eventually. He'd said he'd go with her. She'd wanted to introduce him to her other friends and see how well they hit it off. (Or didn't, as the case might have been. Byrne wasn't the easiest guy to get along with.) She was expecting at least one or two brawls to occur, however. It wasn't truly a bar until someone had a stool broken over their back. In those respects, she was looking forward to it.

Byrne aside, she'd sent little notes off to everyone she thought would be interested or might enjoy the time together. They weren't required to come, but she sure would have liked seeing them before she had to go. After all, there was no guarantee that she'd be coming back.

OoC Notes:
♥ Nabooru sent short little notes to the following people, inviting them for drinks on the house: Edward, Kasugami, Goose, Byrne, Jon, Poo, Lash, Rhys (priest), Shinon, Lighter, Bob, Leon, Knuckles, Raiden, and Goombella. (Was there any order to this? No.) They aren't required to attend. These were just names she thought of first.

♥She also put a note up for all faculty members (yes, all) of plans for a gathering. It's not a required event to attend, but Nabooru's paying for your drinks. Can you really turn that down?

♥ She also put up a notice for the university students. And the high school. Because you know. Some of you look twelve and are actually five hundred. She doesn't know what does and does not apply to underaged drinking.

♥ I'm going to recommend you guys make individual character threads and do it that way. Backdating is, as always, totally okay. Also, pls to be tagging yourself in. Interact with who you want to at your convenience. Make plans. Plot. Bother Nabooru. I don't care. Have a good time literally at her expense! That's the point here.

♥ The bartender on duty (who shall remain nameless as I'm no good with names at two in the morning) will make anything at all. Consider him a fountain of endless knowledge. If you are interested in a list of drinks for ideas, then take a look right here.

♥ Does Nabooru actually have the money to pay for everyone's drinks? I think I'll leave that for you to decide.

Social drinking constituted well enough as a 'party' in his book. Trust me. Just imagine what has happened the other times Goose went drinking. They were very, very rowdy.

Goose never stood out from a drinking outing. Never. He has enough business at the academy as it is, so a night of fun always felt nice to take the mind away from that.

Phoenix needed to get out more. Getting out of his funk and getting this job at Smash Academy was the first step, but he was still feeling awful. It was tempting to sit and sulk in his room for the weekend, or just sink himself into doing research on Pokemon and other strange creatures, but he had seen the notice, and decided maybe he could use some socialization.

So, he went to the tavern, where he saw a couple of familiar faces: Nabooru, whom he chatted with on the network, and Jon, who he met in the library.

First, though, Phoenix sat down and ordered some red wine.

Yes, it was totally legal for the Venusaur to be drinking. Not that he could drink very much. At all. But what the hell, he'd been pretty stressed lately, and if he could take the edge off for a little while, he'd be worth the morning after.

By now, Phoenix had downed a few drinks and had loosened up considerably. So when he saw this strange green-haired man, he decided to say hello.

"Hi there, I haven't seen you around Smash Academy yet. Well, actually that's because I'm new myself..." Phoenix was a more talkative drunk. Well, he wasn't drunk yet... Just a bit tipsy.

"Uh, anyway, I'm the new political science teacher, Phoenix Wright." Probably not a good idea for the new teacher to be seen drinking in public.

Phoenix stop bothering everyone

Phoenix had looked over, recognizing the figure he had talked to from that Homework Chatroom that one night. Dana was that one who had turned into the... Bidoof. Yes. The Bidoof. Though Phoenix didn't know what kind of Pokemon Dana was now.

"Ah, hello!" Phoenix greeted warmly, having loosened up from a couple glasses of wine. "You're the one who told me about Pokemon. I want to thank you for that, as I finally got around to researching them."

Now he knew that Pokemon were animal-like creatures with weird powers who were... kept in miniature spheres... and then trained by people and forced to fight. Phoenix had swallowed hard upon learning that, thinking it sounded like dogfighting. However, he kept reading on and learned that Pokemon at the Academy could take on humanoid forms. Well, now he was somewhat prepared for the influx of Pokemon in his political science class.

What a day. Sasha wasn't sure why she was here, but she was 19 and there was the strange curiosity to see what a bar was like.

The charizard wore a simple red dress which was half hidden away when she decided to fold her wings over her body so they would stay out everyone else's way. In a way it was almost comical, considering her muscles didn't give her a as much of a feminine appearance as she might want to here. But she was who she was, and after the first few minutes of being self-conscious, she walked over to the stools and ordered something that appeared to have cinnamon and fire.

Samus was not a social butterfly by any degree. She would be perfectly content sitting on the rooftop of the firehouse drinking an alcoholic beverage of choice (likely, some kind of thick, burning vodka or space booze) all by her lonesome with just the stars over head for company. Or with Falcon; he was often an exception to this rule, among many others...

Tonight however, she did desire a little privacy and that ironically took her solo bar hopping and looking for the darkest little corner she could find that had no one she knew in it. It wasn't uncommon of her to do this as seedy bars were an excellent place to pick up tips and the kind of underground gossip a bounty hunter would favor for work. Any kind of side-job to work off a little recently acquired formerly-dead-commanding-officers-coming-back-to-life related stress. Never mind her continued hunts for REX were coming to frustrating dead ends, yet again.

Until then, booze would do and she just wanted to get far away from everyone. Far away from familiarity, for a change.

It took approximately two steps inside the tavern for the stoic faced leather jacket clad blonde woman to realize this particular dive had somehow had collected a vast majority of the faculty from the academy. Everyone here, all in one place. Not very far away from familiarity at all, was it?

Against her better judgement (probably thanks to the head start she already got on the night), she did not turn around, and instead took a seat, predictably, in a dark corner away from everyone, content to watch. She sat here with her back to the wall and nursed an alcoholic beverage of choice (likely, some kind of thick, burning vodka or space booze imitation--pretty impressive, bartender) all by her lonesome.

And who else was to appear than...okay no it wasn't predictable at all but here was Lash in all her afro-haired glory. She was at the stage of having a drink actually affect her, which made the already talkative wunderkind even more so.

Voile personally didn't know much on the drinking front. She'd never had anything with alcohol in it, didn't really understand why it was so interesting, and really just wanted a strawberry milkshake.

Or an apple one. If they made apple milkshakes - which she hoped they did.

But she'd seen the notices in the student dormitories and giving her best Bambi-eyed look to Sonny, she'd convinced him to go with her. It actually wasn't that hard. It just took saying she wanted to be with him to really be the winning point - or so she would have said.

So she was perfectly content with curling her arm around his and complete with a smile upon her face. Up until she saw how many people were there.

That was quite a few people. Quite a few loud people.

Sonny didn't so much mind all the loud people. Some of his favorite people were loud people - and LOOK! Vinnie and Sasha and Dana were all here!

"Oh! You were right, this WAS a good idea!" he said, looking around. There was some food scent in the air and he could see large bowls of peanuts being passed up and down the bar, along with jars of pickles and pickled eggs. Oh boy!

He'd never drunk anything in his life before either and had no real intentions of it. Apparently people drank to feel happy. Well, he was already happy, and even happier still because of the green haired beauty attatched to his arm.

It didn't take long for Rhys to notice Nephenee's presence, which was pretty outstanding compared to others. Feeling like he wanted to talk with friends and perhaps meet new faces, he gladly shifted from his lonesome spot in the middle of nothing spectacular to stand beside Nephenee and make himself known.

That blonde at the very end of the bar? She'd been sitting there for a while, holding a glass that never seemed to lose a sip of its contents whatsoever. Although she wasn't particularly in the mood to socialize, how could she turn down free booze? Simple; she couldn't.

And so she sat by herself, as far removed from everyone else in the tavern as she could and hoped that only acquaintances would sit down beside her. But things never really go according to their plans in FDC, do they?

Eli couldn't wrap her head around why she was at the tavern. Perhaps her rash nature had ended her up walking through the doors. But what kept her sticking around? She didn't know- and she definitely didn't like- any of these people.

She'd never had alcohol in her life. A bit of a surprise, maybe, considering how much her past trainer used to drink. But, as a Pokemon, it had never appealed to her. In her human body, she was admittedly fairly curious. She took her time perusing the list of cocktails...

Leon was here on Nabooru's personal request, as he could not turn down such a thing from his new best friend.

He also just really needed the distraction after he was once again fucked over psychologically by his other best friend (http://smash-network.livejournal.com/22745.html?thread=1396953#t1396953). Way to keep falling backward repeatedly.

He doesn't want to live on this planet anymore, but it'll pass. Whenever he's not mingling with his usual posse of individuals, the lizard is sitting alone at the front counter drinking repeated refills of a deliciously fruity Mario Party on the Beach.

His swaying tail might hit you by accident.

Nabooru had really gone out of her way to find Leon. In fact, she wasn't about to say it, but she'd made a tally of the people who'd come and compared that tally to the one she made for people she'd specifically wanted to see. Leon was new in her life. New, but she'd felt such an understanding with him that she'd wanted him to feel welcome.

He had only just gotten back, and he did seem in great need of a helping hand, which she had only been too pleased to offer. Besides, the idea of someone being as 'smooth' as she was, was intriguing.

Her right hand slipped behind her back and she tapped him on his shoulder. "Hello you," she greeted carefully. "I'm very glad you could make it."
