BLIND DATES GROUP 1
What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with an A# & B# table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 19th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.
[The first group's restaurant is Fine French Dinning. The rooms looks very fancy but thankfully the menu and the prices are a bit more down to earth. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!
The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in sparkling whites and browns. The overhead music is old classical french, to fit with the theme. Your servers all have mustaches and speak in broken English with a heavy French accent.
Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.
Find your table!
OH YEAH AND FEEL FREE TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!]
TABLE A1 : PERSON WITH THE LETTER A AS THE FIRST LETTER IN THEIR NAME GOES FIRST!
Re: TABLE A1 : PERSON WITH THE LETTER A AS THE FIRST LETTER IN THEIR NAME GOES FIRST!
Amp was so pumped! She was very glad that she signed up. Look at this fancy restaurant! The only time she ever got into places like this was... well, perhaps once or twice in her Pikachu form in Viridian City, and she couldn't have quite enjoyed the place like she should in that form. Hanging from one of the chandeliers was kind of fun, though, until she got booted out. What? She didn't know her boundaries. She's very exploratory.
She showed up, her outfit far from fancy like the restaurant in itself. She showed up in clothes that would fit for a jogger rather than a beautiful young girl looking for a quiet evening with another boy or girl. She looked... far from that beautiful young girl, instead looking really average and below standards for a place like this.
She really didn't know how fancy dates worked. Oh well. She bounced over to the table and plopped down. She began to rock her legs back and forth excitedly as she picked up a menu and began to read it.

Marie wore a grey, hooded blazer over a white polo shirt, and a pair of khaki shorts. Totally classy, right? He nervously entered the restaurant and started looking around for his table. A million terrible thoughts ran through his head, like, 'What if it's Giovanni?' or 'What if it's Char's girlfriend? How terrible would that be.
Okay, Marie, you can stop drooling any time now... He finally found his table and SURPRISE! It was Amp.
He could live with that.
"Hi."
no subject
If Amp were to even know how much she stood out, too, she'd probably feel even more at ease with Marie's similar choice of clothing, but alas.
She jumped up from her seat for a moment to greet him, her voice far too loud for a restaurant as stately and tender as this. The grin on her face was huge.
"Hiiiiii! Hey, it's you... you... the one who warned me about Giovanni! You're- You're- I can get this-!"
Amp stood there, pondering. She was never the best at remembering names. "Matilda? No, that's not right! Missy? No, that's not it either, chu! Maria?"
...
"Nope! Um- Um-!"
It was pretty clear that she wasn't going to get this right.
no subject
Marie sat down in the seat opposite Amp and idly played with the corners of the menu. He felt a little awkward, but he would survive. Out of the corner of his eye, he couldn't help but notice Misty and Red were sitting with each other and he felt a little jolt of excitement.
no subject
"My name's Ampere, chu! Call me Amp for short, though!"
She picked up her menu and peeked up at him over it. "What kind of food do you like, chu? I like all kinds ever! Yep! I don't know the names of some of this food, though," she realized. What in the world was this 'escargo'? That sounded like a fun time. Maybe she ought to order it.
no subject
"Oh, I like sweet food," Marie replied after a long pause. He opened his menu and glanced at it with an incredibly confused expression. "I've never heard of any of this stuff before." He shot Amp a slightly panicked look, then looked back at his menu. "You should order for me."
no subject
Guess what? She likes Marie.
Let's see, though, what should Amp even order for him? She didn't know. Most of the stuff was very unknown to her. Hmm, she'd give him some stuff that looked interesting to her!
"Um, you can try! Uh, this!" She flipped her menu to him and pointed to the 'Feuillette of Escargots' and the 'Tournedos Marchand de Vin'- filet mignon with a red wine sauce. Amp... didn't even know what wine was or what any of these dishes entailed, but there you go.
"They might be good!"
no subject
"Okay. That's fine." He paused. "What are you gonna get?"
no subject
"And I'm getting it with... this!" Amp pointed to the 'Frog Legs Provençale' on the menu. Their dishes were going to be mighty interesting. "I think that'll be good, right? I think I'll get it with water, chu!"
Having lived in the forest made her pretty used to drinking just plain water. That, or just dealing with the juices from berries.
no subject
"Frog legs? I don't know why anyone would want to eat anyone's legs," he replied. "I'm going to have water too." Because water was the best thing on earth and it was extraordinarily delicious.
And then he looked away, glancing at the other diners but mostly Red and Misty. And then he looked back at Amp.
"So did you sign up, or did they make you?" he asked.
no subject
Oh, oops, she spaced out. That wasn't rare with her, She looked back to Marie after staring off for a bit. Finally, she replied, "Oh, yep, yep, I signed up! I thought it'd be fun to make a new friend, or to have fun with a friend, chu! I thought it wouldn't hurt anything!"
She tilted her head slightly. "How about you, chu? Did you sign up?"
no subject
"But I guess it's not so bad," he added, not wanting to make Ampere feel bad. Although, that seemed pretty much impossible considering her personality type. Nothing seemed to bother her.
no subject
"Of course not, chu! It's a lot of fun! I've never even been to a food place like this, have you? Oh, and what team do you have, chu? A sports team?"
Being that she was a wild Pokemon, a 'Pokemon team' wasn't the first thing that came to mind.
no subject
When 'a sports team' came out of Amp's mouth, Marie couldn't help but frown at her for a second. A sports team? Really? Marie had assumed that Ampere had a trainer too, considering the nickname. "No, i-it's a Pokemon team. I'm part of a Pokemon team," he finally replied, still frowning.
He pretty much forgot about Ampere's other question...
no subject
Oh, and here was a waiter. Amp reiterated their orders for the two of them. Now their food would be on their way while they were still talking. FUN.
Back to the conversation, though, she had to admit that she forgot her own other question, too. She leaned forward, elbows on the table and cheeks in her palms. "You're in a Pokemon team then, chu? What's that like? I've never been in one before! Just a pack!" Her pack of Pikachu back home was probably drastically different from living with a trainer and his/her Pokemon.
no subject
As Amp leaned forward, Marie leaned back into his chair, with his glass still in his hand. "It's the greatest feeling in the world," he replied, calmly. "My trainer and my teammates mean the world to me. I wouldn't trade being on a team for anything." I don't recall anyone ordering a giant bowl of sap...
He softened his intense expression and asked Amp, "What was it like being in a pack? Or what is it like, I don't know."
no subject
"It's a lot like that! When you're in a pack, you'll never be alone, chu! The leader of the pack is really strong, but really nice, chu," she added. Unlike packs of, say, wild wolves or dogs, Pikachu pack leaders are much more docile. They are still commanding, but in a gentler manner to match the rest of the group. Well, or most of the group.
"It's like having the biggest family in the world! Is that what your team is to you? Family, chu?"
no subject
"Are you still with your pack? I mean... do you see them sometimes?"
Marie wasn't usually this talkative. He shifted his gaze to his empty plate and shyly sipped at the glass of water he still held in his hand.
no subject
"Not... a lot, chu, but it's okay! I still send them letters and stuff." 'It's okay', yet her expression was still not as perky as usual. Her pack meant a lot to her, so to not see them so much was a bit disheartening.
She couldn't let that negativity reach Marie, though. Heavens no. She tried her best to turn that frown upside down. "Chuuu, what about your team? Do you see them a lot? Where do they come from? My pack comes from Viridian Forest!"
no subject
"They're from all over the place," he replied with a small smile. "My trainer, Red, is from Pallet Town. We met Vinnie around Vermillion City, and Sasha was at Mount Moon. Euphie was from Celadon City, I think. Sonny Moe was just outside Lavender Town. And Kojiro was from Fuchsia City, I think." Marie frowned. That was quite a lot to say in so little time. He sank into his chair a little.
"I get to see them a lot, though. They all go to this school," he added, quietly.
no subject
Just as he said that, Amp's mood rose even further, her smile visibly larger. Did he really mean that? Amp already knew Red, but she had no idea that Marie was his trainer of all people. Small world... er, or school.
"Red's your trainer?! I know him, chu!" She didn't recognize any of the other names, though. "What Pokemon are the other ones, though, chu? I don't know any of them!" She paused. "... Except I think I know Sasha, chu!"
no subject
"How do you know Red?" he asked.
no subject
Oh, the question. Right. Amp leaned back on her seat until her back pressed to it, a finger on her chin in thought. "Um, I think... we just met on the journal network before, chu! I don't know him well yet, but he's very nice already, chu! I bet your other teammates are nice, too!"
